I usually ride light, bike parks included ... *BUT* I always wear my full face. They're so light and well ventilated nowadays, after a minute I don't even realize it's on. Place looks sick. Great video and stay safe!
What an adventure ride! If I managed to survive the first part of that ride, you'd definitely loose me on that high roller coaster skinny. 😂 Thank you for showing us around and I hope that some day we get to ride in Canada.
You're actually right in what you say. The mountains you see across the valley are the Rockies. Kicking Horse Resort is in the Purcell's. The Columbia Valley which Golden sits in separates the two ranges.
I'm usually the only guy on the mountain with a full face. When you grow up riding moto, that's where your comfort level is. I would feel super weird if I wore some sort of open face helmet. So, even on greens, that's what I have on.
8:22 you can hear the adrenaline in your voice. Ha. The shuddered breathing and such. Exciting! Wish I could go mountain biking again and have the freedom to travel and do this.
The truck didn't break down, I bet it just missed the night sort. I worked in the industry, classic customer service answers so you don't get so mad, passing the blame! Riding those wooden planks looked scary af.
I’m still recovering from a trip to the trauma ward after a fall at the bike park. If I wasn’t wearing a full face I’m certain I would have been left with life altering injuries as a minimum.
i just got back from bc, i was so stressed crossing the border, i had all my hotel/camp ground airbnb itineraries printed out... they didn't even care.
Nope! Hate putting them on, hate taking them off. If you get a flat on the trail with Cushcore you're going for a long walk. I would consider doing the Vittoria airliners, as they aren't ridiculously tight to the wheel. But for now I just run a couple more PSI and most problems are solved.
@bkxc ever look into mynesweepers? They let you run flat pretty well and protect rims. Rode out a few runs this year at the parks with a full flat on them
@15:21 Brian, it is what it is, until it isn't and you end up in the ER with the doctor wiring your teeth together because you broke your jaw. You think you like food now, wait until you break your jaw at 40 and it take 10 weeks for it to heal and the doctors to take out the wires, you'll find out real fast how much you love food and hate tomato soup or ensure.
Way beyond my skills to do any of that, way outta my price range too, even those Blue trails I'd have trouble on. The GoPro effect couldn't even take out the steepness of some of those trails😬
@@bkxc oh, it just looked different for some reason I didn’t recognize the logo on your top bar. Are you going to be in Moab this weekend for Outerbike? I’m headed out later tonight
@@bkxc Yeah, you really have to, unless you order them online and are prepared to return them. Idea: If Outerbike, Sedona, Bentonville, Sea Otter, etc., had helmet company demos, just like bike companies... 🤔
$3,600 USD + Flight + bike checkin + Food (why is that not included? Says so in their page) Probably around $5,000 total... Or the price of a premium bike dang... ya'll that rich?
Brian, thats strange you need a passport!😉 So, let’s me get this straight, you can’t just walk across the border into Canada? Evidently those Canadians are on to something!!🤷🏼♂️
How did the Canadian Border Patrol treat you? In 2017 when I went skiing at Whistler they tossed my SUV leaving everything thing a mess and were super rude to boot! Officer Pinto you are a jerk!!!😀
@@bkxc Thanks for the reply, they also had me lift my pant legs and shirt in front of two agents one with his hand on his gun the whole time! Went thru all my pictures on my phone too.
Never be ashamed of your level of safety. I’m not trying to buy my dentist his next Yeti.
Hahaha!
@@bkxcда ну тебя в баню!
Pumped to see you out at KH, man! “Ooo this is cool…. Also my hands hurt” Yep, that’s the quintessential Kicking Horse experience, right there. 😂
Hahaha! The full on fun! Loved that alpine beauty and really cool trails.
I usually ride light, bike parks included ... *BUT* I always wear my full face. They're so light and well ventilated nowadays, after a minute I don't even realize it's on.
Place looks sick. Great video and stay safe!
Great to see you back up here!
Always a good time!! Gotta get back to the North Shore next year and get scared for my life again!
I don't think I have ever seen this many wooden features on a trail! Definitely need to add this park to the "must ride" list.
It was crazy! So much work went into that thing!
What an adventure ride! If I managed to survive the first part of that ride, you'd definitely loose me on that high roller coaster skinny. 😂 Thank you for showing us around and I hope that some day we get to ride in Canada.
7:15 What a Bridge complex NS section! :O
Yeah, insane!
Kicking Horse was such a fun shredfest. 🤟 Great video!
Most definitely!! I get to relive it all again when editing the video, we did so much!
@@bkxc haha, nice. Yeah I might too if I ever get my vids off the gopro cloud 😭

Haha now I’m all confused!
Hi Brian! Your fork 21:40 is hard, a little bit much pressure! What dou you think?
Yeah, I've been running a lot more pressure in my fork and shock and probably could drop a couple PSI in the fork.
@@bkxc It was a realy hard enduro trail! Not for the begginers! Suppa duppa mega awesome double diamond! 🤣
That park looks awesome, wow. Always look forward to your vids BK!
Love to hear it! Thanks dude
@bkxc Great to see you back in Canada. Ride on!
Thanks dude!
I always go with FedEx if it’s important! Sick video bro😎
Good call!!

Most definitely! Gotta go with your comfort zone!
This looks so fun!! I went to KH in winter for a snowboard trip (2017) but would love to go with my bike!! Great riding!!
Oh wow! It must be a pretty great ski hill too!
@@bkxc It’s awesome! Steep and deep just like I like it 🤘🤩
Astonishing content 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Wow, that is some incredible wood work. Everstoke, implementation, possibly?
Most definitely! We just got a new sawmill and we’re ready to make some features!
8:22 you can hear the adrenaline in your voice. Ha. The shuddered breathing and such. Exciting! Wish I could go mountain biking again and have the freedom to travel and do this.
Yeah, it was intense!!

Riding those wooden planks looked scary af.
Haha, yep, "The truck was hijacked by those aliens on the news!!" Yeah, those planks were something else!!
What a great looking park!
That top part is absolutely beautiful AND had great trails!
I’m still recovering from a trip to the trauma ward after a fall at the bike park. If I wasn’t wearing a full face I’m certain I would have been left with life altering injuries as a minimum.
Wow, glad you're on the come back!
Went to Kicking Horse this summer, it was great. Only thing that sucked was them closing at 3 or 3:30pm (cant remember).
Yeah, especially when it stays light until 10 pm!
You are riding very well my friend.
Thanks!
Ha ha our hero in a half shell! 🐢
Turtle power!!
Looks fun!
It was good!
Awesome video and epik trail
Thanks!
i just got back from bc, i was so stressed crossing the border, i had all my hotel/camp ground airbnb itineraries printed out... they didn't even care.
Hahaha, yeah, the border crossings are always so stressful. Smugglers must have nerves of steel!
Brian, do you have Cush Core inserts in your wheels?
Nope! Hate putting them on, hate taking them off. If you get a flat on the trail with Cushcore you're going for a long walk. I would consider doing the Vittoria airliners, as they aren't ridiculously tight to the wheel. But for now I just run a couple more PSI and most problems are solved.

First I've heard of them! I'll check it out.

Oh man, I believe it!
Was wondering if you ride clipless or flats? Does it depend on the type of trails you ride??
Always clipless. Never had a problem unclipping in bad situations, but it can be hard to clip back in when you get started
@@bkxc A rider clicks into clipless pedals and clicks out of clipless pedals.
I ride spd clips but have the multi release cleats easy to unclip on a panic and have never unclipped by mistake
If im being honest the only reason i watch u but dont comment much is because i some how find mountain biking satisfying
I'm glad you like it!
@@bkxc stay safe with ur mountain biking i heard roads can get quite bumpy and end up hurting someone
So, are you being honest?
Brian talking about AG1 and healthy and vitamins and I'm sitting here eating leftover Taco Bell for breakfast on my day off 😆
Hahahahaha
Man, that looks awesome...Canada really has some great trails and it's all open to e-bikes also...they got it right!
A lot of the various trails are ebike friendly that we did on this trip!
What PSI do you normally ride?
Maybe 25 in the rear!
What bike are you riding these days?
Same Ripmo as the start of the year!
おはようございます!
GoProのチェストマウントは何を使われているのですか?
I should have my video gear in a link in the description. If not you can Google “BKXC GoPro”
Way beyond my skills to do any of that, way outta my price range too, even those Blue trails I'd have trouble on. The GoPro effect couldn't even take out the steepness of some of those trails😬

Ripmo V2s, same as always
@@bkxc oh, it just looked different for some reason I didn’t recognize the logo on your top bar. Are you going to be in Moab this weekend for Outerbike? I’m headed out later tonight
Robert of B1ker likes that Kali Protectives lightweight full face- have you tried one of those on? Are you opposed to getting one, or just haven't?
I would like to try it on in person, and the past few bike shops I've been to haven't had a great selection!
@@bkxc Yeah, you really have to, unless you order them online and are prepared to return them. Idea: If Outerbike, Sedona, Bentonville, Sea Otter, etc., had helmet company demos, just like bike companies... 🤔
Do you use padded gloves?
I am actually on the hunt for something more padded, I’m getting tired of all the gloves being super thin now!
Awesome
Thanks!
YOU SHOULD RIDE WITH DANGEROUS DAVE AND DALE STONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know! It didn’t happen this time around.
I rode my first park without a full face helmet. Never again!
Haha, it can be a little extreme!
pop some Vittoria Airliners in those tires and run lower pressure :)
Heard really good things!
I’m way too uncoordinated to ride any of those wood features
It definitely takes a little finesse!
when I was your age, we did not need a passport!
Your osm bro this bicycle I wana ride dream
Thanks man!
you make that steep techy stuff look so doable.... but I know it's not...lol
It's pretty hairy!!

It’s a pretty magical experience.
I see ppl riding without helmets and I'm decked out with knee and elbow pads.
Haha yep!
Why not ride your bike in Spokane! Way better then twiddling your thumbs
8 days of intense BC riding ahead, didn't want to wring myself out!
camera is too low i think..

Get a passport card and keep it in your wallet. That is all you need for land crossing into Canada and Mexico. Cheers!
I have Global Entry but that expired and then I didn’t do the research on renewal! I would keep that card in the van and be good to go.
Let's pretend you rode these skinnies!
Hahaha, I did it in my mind!
