I have literally listened to hundreds of versions of this great song, and this one is the sweetest, made me feel the music in my soul and took me somewhere, if only briefly. My life is richer, for hearing these three honey voiced strangers, sing a song so many of us can and have related to. Very talented...

Listened to this for the first time just now... And I realized how heartening it is to hear today's folk singing the songs of our times. Not that it already wasn't before these guys, but "Time after Time" suddenly FELT timeless; a feeling of tender assurance that people will still appreciate the same things we appreciated back then; a teaspoon of comfort at bedtime for dreams of teddy bears, guardian angels and Mom; our protection from these wildly unfamiliar times. Thanks for the music. (And so much love to you Cyndi!)

Stumbled onto this purely by accident. So glad I did. I've always loved this song and this is a beautiful cover. Great harmonious sung with real feeling. Gorgeous.
FYI, they never get the credits, but this song started with a moderately successful Philadephia band called the Hooters. Their leader Rob Hyman wrote it, the Hooters backed up Cyndi Lauper, and SHE got the Grammy, and in her acceptance speech she threw a call-out that went like this, "and I'd like to thank my band before I had a band." That's it, didn't mention Rob Hyman, or the Hooters, even though Rob got a Grammy nomination for Song of the Year, 1984 (yup, Rob, not Rob and Cyndi). I was in Philly throughout the '80's and what's in Wiki is not how it went down. So here's a shout-out to Rob Hyman and Eric Bazilian an the boys of the Hooters, who gave Cyndi her first number 1 hit. Everything after that, well that was all her.

@@c_m_b_3110 the song is a co- write. They were introduced by the album producer. The story above is not true. In any case- since he is a co-writer, he’s still getting paid. That’s how the music industry works. He is listed as a co-writer anywhere the song is published. No one is getting screwed 🙄

Great harmonies. The dynamics in the vocals and guitar playing was top notch. Excellent arrangement. Mic placement in that room was exquisite. The acoustics in that room was great. Well tuned. Whoever your Mixmaster is, holy cow, that person needs to win a Grammy for how those sounds were blended. 🍻
