      Thanks Ryan!! This heat is keeping me off the water so having a great few hours with the Flippers and the locals was a reel treat!!

    Cool to see the dolphins ripping the shallows like that! Good day to catch a variety of fish! SWEET! We are heading out to catch the N.ont. version of the speckled trout (brook trout) this weekend. Hope the summer is rocking!

      Thanks Henri!! Flipper was a bonus and anytime I can find a friendly pod of Dolphin or Manatees I try to get some footage....In 3 feet of crystal water they really stand out especially when they are watching me and the boat.....LOL!!

    The dolphins were amazing. If you haven't tried fried GafftopSailfin Catfish ( we call 'em 'sail cats' for short) you're missing out on some good eating. Anyways, Another cool vid, thanks for taking us with ya. Keep chasing that Wild!

      Thanks Icy!! It's interesting how many times I've come across pods of Manatees and Dolphin!! The interesting part is just how docile and interested in my green boat they usually are.....Most folks will never get to see the clips I put into my videos!! I came to Florida in my middle 20's and had almost no knowledge of Saltwater species.....All I did was fish the Fresh.....Now since then I've feasted on just about every species you can think of.....My vocabulary includes what some folks call a trash....If I can fillet it....I'll consume it.....LOL With my first catch I knew it was a cat and I found out they were reel tasty.....Anymore it's rare for me to catch one....In fact that was the first one I've shown on the channel after 5 years.....Sea Ya!!

    • @WesLovelace
      @WesLovelace  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks!! Well since you're near John's Island and with that shallow boat you could try several places.....The first would be to the Seven Cabbage area on the north side of the river all the way to the old whooping crane compound and the other would be into the North and South Blind creeks areas.....I prefer those creeks that allow me access from wide creeks culminating in shallow lime rock bottom narrow creeks.....I stay away from the crowds and by getting way back in these areas I feel that I'm fishing in new territory because of the lack of other boats in the back country.....For the most part you will see very few boats fishing this area....I know that if I can see another boat they can certainly see me and in those instances I become a ghost.....Good luck!!
