Thanks John!! Not all that often in shallow water but most folks don't know that Bulls are tolerant of freshwater as are Redfish, Trout and Snook and I've caught all 4 species in the back country as well as saltwater.....Thanks for the question and have a wonderful Christmas!!😎

I managed to find a great area to enjoy my favorite hobby.....I thought I'd surely lose that critter in the skinny water especially on light tackle.....Glad you could drop by..... Have aa great Christmas!!

Thanks Martin!! What was interesting was the 10 lb. Mono and 30 lb. leader.....Turns out it was all about the hook up location....I was definitely surprised because I thought it was a Cobia at first!!😎

@WesLovelace it was meant to be. I've seen 300 pounder with its back out of the water.

I'm renting at the moment.....I've gotten the inside cleaned up....Still waiting for insurance but I don't need it to renovate....The two major hurdles are the new kitchen counters and to redo the electrical system.....Maybe back in by March or April!!

@@fishing4dinner I'll be over the FEMA 50% rule....A new house will cost me 300K.....I originally paid 75K.....Having this kind of expense this late in life is crazzzzy.....LOL!!

Hurstscrambler....Thanks!! If you live in this area you know all about the lime rock bottom and the need to run on a high tide when in the Wildlife Refuge!! After Hurricane Helena 2 months ago this critter floated north up the coast towards the Homosassa River or Crystal River and I haven't made a trip up there since the hurricane

@@stockamx It got down to 42 degreez last night.....Back in the 70's tomorrow....Might make a trip to the swamp tomorrow and play with the swamp critters.....These negative winter tides are hard to fish in along with cold temps!!😎

Thanks Brandon!! Forget the topwater.....So far the mirrodine is the correct call but you'll have to get off the Gulf and into the back country.....The creek behind my house has been producing some nice Reds but it takes a huge tide to get back there!!

D4S.....Thank!! Actually the yacht was moved by Hurricane Helene several months ago to the north of this location and I haven't any idea as to it's current location!!

Thanks Nick!! This craft was anchored about 40 miles south of this location in Clearwater .....I informed FWC of this location and after Hurricane Helene roared thru here a couple of months ago the critter disappeared up north somewhere!!

Thanks Chris!! FWC knew the boat was out there off Hernando during that time period until it grounded off Haulover Bay.......Since Hurricane Helene the boat disappeared and I haven't heard where it eventually landed!!

Thanks!! I reported the vessel to FWC and was aware of the salvage laws.....This grounding was not worth the cost especially with the possible environmental problems.....After Hurricane Helene the vessel disappeared somewhere up the coast!!
