- Has menopause knocked your self-image and left you low in confidence?
Since many women struggle to feel good about themselves at this time, I thought I would take a closer look at the physical and emotional reasons behind this problem and recommend simple things you can do to look and feel better.

This is a big one for me. Just facing the fact my youthful beauty is fading.
I like that quote about aging, "Aging is hard, but it beats the alternative "
Trying to make the best of it in my circumstance today, and you helped to remind me of the important things.
I'm a newbie to this channel and you give very encouraging advice....this message was very helpful.. I am going through everything you mentioned... I have spent 1000's of dollars over the last 4 years trying to combat the symptoms of menopause.... nothing has helped... recently I started taking pregnenolone 50 mg....it's improved my energy a bit...but now I'm losing my hair...😥 I look more masculine and my skin is desert dry.... I've gained 50 lbs within a year's time... I stay active.... I exercise and walk a mile three times a week...and dance through out the day....and still I gain weight... I eat clean ... mostly chicken and rice and broccoli and salads... I also started using coconut oil...... Please help me...what hormones or supplements I can take to look like a woman again...and can you tell me if DHEA will help....any advice will appreciated😁😁😁😁
I really needed this today! I need to practice gratitude and positive attitude! PS-The lavender color looks very good on you and the scarf is lovely!

I used to model and was in magazines, and now the aging process and menopause are really running me over like a giant herd of buffalos, but my friend passed away from cancer at 42,so I tell myself at least I am alive and can see the sun rise.
Hi
Yes, it can certainly be sad to see our youthful selves disappear in the menopause but other wonderful things can happen so we can try to embrace this different version and see what happens!
@@WeTalkMenopause i agree, and it helps to me et other women who are older and truly happy

I like how you say about looking in the mirror and start looking yourself positively! And the quote “self care” love it🌈🌈🌈 your voice is calming😘💕
Thank you for that, just what I needed. Your talks are very helpful as I am really suffering with most of not so common the symptoms like cold sweats as well as hot sweat, infact every symptom you talk about"I have it". I feel like a stiff old lady most of the time. I am drinking more, boosting my magnesuim as I feel I need a lot extra, as well as B vits,A,D.E and now started Black cohosh for the sweats and passion flower for the sleepless nights (which I am finding I am sleeping better). I am also having ground linseed and sesame seed with berries and a good dollop of soya yogurt in the morning. Do you find soya is good or bad for the menopause, I was hoping it would help! Lovely information put in your nice gentle way, I'm sure is helping many women. If you could add any advice I would be so pleased, thank you
Hi Pierette
You are doing a lot of positive steps just now so well done; these will all help long-term! Unfortunately, whole soya foods aren't always of help as they are very difficult to breakdown and release the hormone benefits. I usually recommend fermented soya foods such as tempeh, natto and miso as these are better. Miso is readily available from health shops so you can use this every day in soups, stews, stir fries or, my favourite way, as a hot savory drink. However, if you enjoy the yogurt there is no reason to stop.
Acupuncture can often help when you have a variety of symptoms so worth looking into as well.
Hi, yes I will start with the miso, menosan and also visit my wonderful Acupuncturist who is Alan Hext who practices in Swanage, Dorset. Thank you again for all you wonderful information. X@@WeTalkMenopause
most of the foods i use to love eating have no taste to me now my mouth have a metallic taste is that normal
Hi Ivy
Loss of taste can indicate low zinc so you may find a 15mg daily supplement helpful but it may also be a good idea to get a check up from your dentist as well, once you can get to see them.

This is a great advice and I shared also to all my menopause friends here in the Philippines. Yes I notice that my libido is less active now everytime my husband come home for a vacation as he work in a cruiship in uk and also my private part is dry and hard to manage and pain whenever we make love. I will ask you if there is some good medicine or cream to use to avoid dryness? Thank you very much. God Bless you more for sharing your wisdom and tips to all pre/ menopause women.
Hi
Thank you for sharing!
A supplement called Sea Buckthorn Oil is very good for vaginal dryness so see if you can find that at your local herb store. Some women find applying a small amount of organic coconut oil can be soothing and it can also be used as a natural lubricant. Remember to drink plenty of plain water as dehydration will make vaginal dryness worse!
👍🙏
