Oh,my GOODNESS,,,, THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE TUTORIAL!!!!!!!! How VERY KIND OF YOU TO TAKE SUCH GREAT CARE AND STEPS TO SHOW THE WORLD ,,,,, BEST VIDEO ON UTUBE❤❤❤❤
I'm building a 12x20 Sierra. Pretty easy. I framed and sided it by myself in 2 days. My locally supplied parts included doug fir studs, often difficult to nail because of knots, so used a mix of sinkers and construction screws. As soon as it stops snowing I'll build trusses. (Utah problems)
Great video. I'm going back and forth between the Glenwood and the Hampton. They're basically the same except the Hampton has 2 dormers. It also comes with the windows and doors, but I think the windows are pretty cheap ones, so I'm not sure the added price is worth it just for the 2 dormers and cheap windows that I'd probably replace anyway. The one thing that concerned me was the siding is only 3/8 inch thick. Have you had any issues with the siding at all, such as rot, warping or moving during wind? I hope you see this since its 7 years ago. Thanks for the tutorial.
I’m building a 12x12 now in NC, we don’t get much snow here, do you? I would’ve been tempted to use 16” OC for walls and Trusses. You would only add a couple more in the grand scheme of things but much stronger. Good job getting it done solo.
Steze that is about what I paid without the floor, but as I mentioned I have a diesel floor built on 6x6 timbers on top of concrete sonic tubes with a 3/4inch Pressure Treated floor. The only thing I would say about using the 4X4 skids is how much support will you need for your contents? And what is the ground like your going to put the skids on? Is it prone to being wet? Just saying...
Cool video. Give me encourages and tips that I want to build one. What is it called the "block and tap" thing that you bought from ebay to raise up the gable end? Thanks
I always thought, if you know and can assemble a manufactured shed, you could just build it yourself to your taste and save a ton of money. Plus way easier than dealing with large premanufactured parts.
Steve thanks for the comments. I so enjoy bragging that I built it myself. Funny when I ordered a kit, I suspected more of it would be pre fabed, but in truth it took me less than 40 hours to get it ready for shingles. Remember I am an overweight 65 year old at the time I built it. I am very proud of this shed and it serves every purpose I hoped it would.
Your shed looks great! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! I built an 8x10 shed for my kids in my backyard earlier this year using plans I got from *WoodBlueprints. Com* Clear directions and an accurate materials list...It was great for a novice builder like myself!
Nice job! My friend purchased a different but similar kit shed from the same company. When you built the trusses did you do it on the floor with a jig like they recommend? Also did use chalk to make sure it was accurate? Regarding the floor base did you use string to make sure it is level? Thanks.
Hi Brian thanks. Yes, I built the floor first, before the shed kit was delivered. I used string to get the sonic tube concrete base 4 corners level. Then I used a 4 foot level on top of a 2x8 on each of the floor stringers to get them level. When the kit arrived I had a flat base to work on. I did build a jig on the floor which made building the trusses identical, rather easy. I screwed the blocks they provided to the floor and it left no room for mistakes. Thanks again for your comment.
Sorry to take so long to answer you. Yes I did build the trusses on the floor as they suggest. They provide jig blocks so once you set it up it is easy to knock out the trusses with the precut pieces. I could not be happier with this shed.
I built a shed with these plans from Ryan [ Details Here?> *WoodBlueprints. Com* ] . The instructions were clear and easy to implement. Even a novice can be able to build fast using this plan. I'm happy I bought the plan. It also saved me much cost.

Great job! You have inspired me. Like you, my son is deployed too. And in the Air Force !!!
This was awesome. Friction-fitting each truss into the temporary 2x4 purlin as you raised it up...pretty smart idea. cheers!
Alone? Awesome job, man! Love the way you lifted the gable ends and trusses into place.
Very impressive, especially by yourself. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Great presentation and humble method of presenting for taking some scare out of not so handy!
Great work! Thanks for sharing your experience.
Building a structure is the right of passage for us guys😅 awesome job

Would you say that someone with very little carpentry skills can build this?
Any shed over 200 sq. ft. in my county need a $3,000+ engineer stamp, Land of the Free, Home of the Poor.

Great video. Thinking about building one of these kits.

Great video. Wish you showed some finished inside shots so I could see the size with your mentioned items inside. I have about the same items.
Bill, if there are any measurements you need, or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at djpiazzo

I will try and get some shots of the inside posted this week
Good job,5*
I built an 18x20 myself in this manor. But the floor foundation was concrete.

Hey, you totally should!
if you go to all the work to make this video , the sound is way to low to understand thank you
It's fine for me.
