    Excellent explanation. The struggles I had with ZOC when playing board hex war games many years ago. At least in computer games the machine works out ZOC for you!

    What is the green zone?

    What is the green borders around encircled enemy units and how does it work?

    • @TheEdmon
      @TheEdmon  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It just shows the area where there is no supply for that team colour.

    On a somewhat related topic, is there some kind of "trick" to the normal campaign scenario for Kiev? It seems like there is supposed to be some way to complete a grand encirclement and cut supply to the huge number of units in center and near city, but I just couldn't get the supply to actually cut off at that scale. Or are you just supposed to power through the normal way on that scenario?

      I'd need a screenie of the map to remind me of the mission, it has been a while. The trick with some grand encirclements is to use flexible command and cheap infantry / tanks to literally make a supply blocking wall... and paratroopers to get behind and cut off supplies from the other side. But as I said, can't quite remember the map your referring to.

    Ive been watching your guides and I still dont always understand encicrlement. Would be easiest for me to show picture of it, usually i get how it works and i love to do it on enemy. Now tho ive just crossed bridge in battle of Bruza in Piatek town. My tank is on first hill at right. got my unit left and right side of my tank. There is enemy 1hex right and upright from my tank. Enemy units upleft hex and 1hex left from it(both hill hexes). Only my tank in middle is encircled, its weird to me.
    Also 2nd question if i dont have perimeter control(which i dont atm), i wont get supplies either now right?
    None of my other units are encricled :D

      The simple way to think of it is: A unit gets supply if it can trace a path to the edge of the map or to a supply hex. All hexes next to an enemy unit, mountains and large rivers are blocked. If you have perimeter control, units directly unblock the tile they are on.

      Bridges are so weird.. makes no sense man. Like i have my bridging unit next to my bridge and enemy units are really far away. But if i move my bridging unit, my whole comp gets surrounded. As if there would be no bridge behind me at all :D.. This game sometimes..

      @@hinalle123 Real bridges only allow supply via the tile they are on and the road tiles that connect to them.

    Another request if you have time and are inclined - could you do a Guide on Supply - We are used to the complex Supply mechanics of Unity of Command, Order of Battle and SM Blitzkrieg - but don't yet understand where Supply mechanics fit in Pc2 - thanks Edmon

    • @TheEdmon
      @TheEdmon  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Supply is pretty simple in Panzer Corps 2. If you have a connection to a supply tile or the side of the map that is not Zone of Control blocked, then you are in supply.
      Note certain tiles block supply, these are marked, such as high mountains, dense forests and large rivers.

    Thx man, ur Guides are really helpful! Great Job!
    Havent seen FGtG Infantry, but did u say in the Beginners Guide, that u usaually dont use any other infantry then pioneers ?

    • @TheEdmon
      @TheEdmon  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I only really use pioneers because most of what you do with infantry is remove other infantry from cities. Pioneers excel in this role.

      @@TheEdmon Thx for the Answer :) I wasnt sure if u meant for this beginners guide, or "only pioneers" in general. Im still learning this game, and im able to play until the barbarossa campaign succesful, but them im prestige starving....but i hope i will perform better in my next try, armored with your guides :D
      btw green replanishment is a nono, isnt it ?

    • @TheEdmon
      @TheEdmon  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@beeagain213 Depends on your strategy, but I don't like to use green replacement because levels are pretty strong.
      If you can master the power 4, you will never have to worry about money either. Think of the early missions as your chance to farm cash like there is no tomorrow.

    After about 50 hours in with PC2 and I can say that Strategic Mind Blitzkrieg is well worth your look - check out Night Phoenix playlist - th-cam.com/play/PL7pXN3Gjr_aw3cz5jfgRzRi2nklLNued1.html - this is a huge improvement over its predecessor Panzer Strategy - IMO Blitzkrieg is more sophisticated and just more fun than PC2 - I will keep playing PC2 as it cost a lot :-)
