If humans are not the only intelligent life and or if we are the only intelligent life in the universe is equally amazing.
There is no way in this vast universe that we could possibly be alone. Its just not possible with all the right conditions which I'm sure have been met on other planets that we humans are the only life forms. They may not live like we do or look like we do but they are out there whether any of us wanna believe it or not.
You know that, deep down inside, it is teaming with life among the stars and beyond! It's crazy to think that we are alone on this planet.
I'm not a cynic or conspiracy buff but a passing thought I had questioned if the general public would actually be told if other- worldly life was found. Peace!
The definition of where life can exist is limited to what we know allows for life on earth. On other planets, the measurements for what elements allow for life could be completely different and elements we can´t measure because all we have is earthbound understanding

All the enthusiasm and giddiness aside, finding ice water an amino acid and methane is a comically scattershot indication that we're on the verge of a mind-blowing discovery revealing the presence of complex organisms elsewhere other than here with us
