The problems amongst many others is that people rush into marriages. You know we spend 3 years+ studying for different professions. And yet the most important thing is relationships. We never have any syllabus about being a husband, being a wife, being a family person. Instead, people then hurt others with this entrapment.
You learn about how to be a good or bad husband or wife from the role models in your family. I believe in not so much studying the prospective spouse but checking their family background. If a man didn’t observe their father, uncle or grandfather being a good father and husband it’s difficult to start doing so in adulthood if he was not socialised that’s way. If you want a good idea what kind of wife or mother your gf will be just look at the women in her family. I don’t care about your money, if you come from a dysfunctional family then that’s a deal breaker. Yes, arguably these qualities can be acquired in adulthood but it takes a special kind of introspective type of person who is serious about self improvement.

What we see from the role models you advised about is knowledge with a lot of gaps and blind spots about relationships. Its mostly cultural expectations. This is my point. Quality time teaching about relationships, mistakes and expectations. People need to be a bit more mature b4 marriage. This is the most complex commitment in this world.
Moreflow Falls we will agree to disagree on this one. The purpose of quality time is not to prepare the child for marriage. But moulds the child as to what type of person they grow up to be. Nurturing and socialisation trump any other factor. No matter how well you instruct your kids if you don’t practice what you preach you are wasting your time.
