    My brother was building one similar to this. He only had to put the skin on the wings to complete it. He worked on it for about four years. Sadly he passed on last September before he could complete it. Hopefully someone will purchase it and finish the build. I'd love to see it fly. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

    Pastor, lovely little plane!
    Wonderful inaugural flight. Hope your following flights have been enjoyable and pray for continued safe enjoyment of your hobby. For the life of me I'll never understand how anyone would not enjoy your video. Always a few people that are incapable of being happy watching other people be blessed. Thanks for sharing and continued success as a pilot owner and servant for Christ!

    ONe of the best UL take off's and landings I've seen to date. Most pilots screw around with the throttle too much rather than make it a dead stick landing and a controlled descent just using throttle. Well done!

      But consider - this channel has no update ever since. It might suggest there is no happy ending there. Except if he made second channel and already sold bunch of those planes manufactured in series.

    • @rkwill100

      It's the affordaplane, there are a few flying. Lots of folks discredited the design. I don't think many meet the true far103 requirements but nonetheless it's a flying machine. I think it can be built for $5k, I forget. I have the plans for it but opting to build a minimax instead, can use same airframe and build it up from an ultralight to an experimental.

    Somehow that propeller looks like a boomerang.

    • @cedriclynch
      @cedriclynch 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The appearance of the propeller blades curving is caused by the camera not recording the whole of each frame simultaneously, so that anything moving very fast has moved between one part of it and another part of it being recorded. This phenomenon of distortion of the images of moving objects would also happen with a film camera if it had a "focal plane shutter", a rolling blind with a slit in it that moved across very close to the film (most cameras that had interchangeable lenses had this type of shutter). If the camera had the shutter in or next to the lens, this distortion of the image would not happen although anything moving very fast would be blurred.

      Well thank you very much for taking the time to write that explanation. I know that makes a lot of sense to someone familiar with cameras. It's a bit over my head though. Nice to know there's an explanation for everything. Have a great day sir.
