    I got a grade 7 for GCSE maths and was going to do it for a level but I feel like only people who are naturally good at Maths can do it. There are a few people I know who got 7s and 8s for GCSE but got 4s for A level because they weren’t naturally good at it

      Although maths like any other subject has people who just find learning things easier, you will be able to improve on it if you dedicate yourself to it and practice accordingly. This goes for anything, you just need to have the belief you can improve first and then work on it!

    I did my mocks a couple of months ago. I got an a in a level maths and b in further. I didnt work hard enough in my applied part of maths which is why i didnt get a higher grade. Skills like problem solving are developed over practice. But i found it really interesting how i didnt have a great understanding of the course by the time i did my mock and still got an a.

    I would also say to get a graphics calculator, I got the cg20 used for £20 and I would say it gives me about 10-15 extra marks every week

    Bro is depressing that I got an E in my year 12 mock. I’m gonna just revise everything in year 12 during the summer and I hope to do better and aim for a C or B in dec mock

    • @JadenYee
      @JadenYee  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you work hard in the Summer, you'll be a lot more prepared for Year 13 as that's when you learn other topics which require a solid foundation from Year 12. I'm sure you can achieve what you want!

      I also didnt get the grade I wanted in my mocks. But from what I learnt from gcse putting effort in is definitely worth it good luck with your resit. I believe you can do it :)

    one thing i really struggle with in maths is which process to use , for example if i was presented an integration question how would i know whether to use by parts or implicit differentiation, any tips on this ?

    What would you suggest for year 12s because past papers can't really come in proper use rn. Also I do OCR MEI

    • @JadenYee
      @JadenYee  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hmm, I would suggest questions by topic then or AS level papers which contain only year 12 content, you can pick and choose the questions in the past papers also to find only the topics which you have learnt.

    Hey Jaden, as your doing dentistry in uni, is it compulsory you do maths a-levels or could you get away with doing psychology instead of maths to get into a dental route

    • @JadenYee
      @JadenYee  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It wasn't compulsory for me and where I applied to but make sure to check with the universities you want to go to. From memory, I cannot remember any uni which requires maths, generally they would require chemistry and maybe biology or another science. Doing psychology instead of maths should be fine for most but make sure to check the entry requirements on their websites. Hope this helps
