No dought coming out of KC's shop everyone work's like a machine and work well together at least what we see on camera. 👍🏼
That's what i'm saying. We went from 8 people down to 4 and though we might be short staffed, everyone is actually kicking more ass now then before. Not that it was bad before but the people left and working really good with each other.
Excellent advice from Bruce re; starting at 600 grit etc. with 4 or 5 coats of clear.

Think i have a set of those t-bird seats but need to see if still here ,have a black set out of a 64 galaxie that look similar with matching console and floor shift also that would look good in the falcon to .
A cowl hood would ruin that Falcon, I would hate to lose that hood's body line so I would make the smallest relief for the blower possible and go with a subtle scoop like on the 66 mustang gt350. Save the body line, clear the blower, and stay period correct.Just my worthless opinion. Love the channel, love the work, Cheers.

The projects are looking great! That Vette frame is some serious artwork! The GTO is another fav of mine! I’m excited to see what happens with it! So many cool choices for the Falcon hood... Hahaha, I've got more filmed from last week that will be dropping more than likely on Monday. I spent most of last week running errands for KC and the guys, picking up lots of parts and materials and helping out with maintenance at the Car Wash and skipping lunch to put in an hour on my project car but at least that means more than 1 video coming next week.

What about cutting that body line out just around the blower for clearance then flip it. You keep original styling wjth a twist and that body line might help focus air into the scoop. Plus it looks cool.
We need that really badass Black Patina 1960 Ford F100 back in the mix. That's the only project anyone truly cares about.

My brother has a 1964 fiat that was shipped over to the U.S. I only see 3 of them in my life time the body looks similar. It's a convertible to.

I was wondering about the wagon I seen it on the table on the last video.
I'm curious to see how many mils 4-5 coats produces and how much gets removed by the time finish polish /delivery takes place. I would think 3 coats of clear and then blocking with 500 and re-clearing w/2 more coats. By now it should be glass flat and elbow deep in depth. 1k grit to 3k Da finish leaves more material hence flat & super deep and less labor intensive. More product used but after finish polish there's still more clear coat left for longer lasting depth of gloss. It still depends on products used and more importantly the painter/prepper's hand. Still, excellent work!! A+

If you could not delete the braces where the blower is and make a support ring to tie the the remainder together, a Cobra Jet scoop would look bitchin' on that Falcon, make and period correct as well.

Yeah I realized that one of my focal settings had gotten changed so it was all over the place but since has been corrected. Well some of the newest video for tomorrow might be like that. I've got it sorted out now.

Can you guys do a video of the whole process of wet sanding and buffing im doing a black c10 and am having problems getting it to keep its shine and not dull in the sun. What am I doing wrong??
Mon good luck you are working with the hardest color black if you master black you can do any color.
Exactly what he said you have to have enough clear coat to wet sand or you will be sanding through your paint. You have to work your way down to the lightest sand paper. Then when you buff make sire you keep the buffer moving so you don't burn the paint and see buffing swirls, like I said black is the hardest color because every little thing shows. Most painter's shops cringe when people say they want there car black because it takes more work to get it right.
SNOOP U 2 it will shine up fine and is a straight mirror but after it sits in the sun it dulls
Sounds like you're having a dye back issue. Maybe you didn't let air move across the surface long enough after clearing. Or you let one of the layers of clear dry to long before you put the next coat and it didn't melt in properly.

Haven't been here for a wile what happened to the wash shop
It's still going. We replaced all the hoses last week as the old ones were leaky. KC also went through and fixed a lot of the coin machines and either cleaned up or replaced the displays. It's a really nice place compared to the condition he bought it in. KC keeps it clean as well. I believe they are getting a new manager at the Lube Center so maybe I'll stop by and check in.
