@@willempasman827I actually love the factory color on the 1964 Tan. I put some Venetian Shoe Cream on it and it gave it some sheen without darkening it. In some ways I preferred it in the natural state. Looked almost like some Timberland nubuck.
I like this color a little more than the original, even though I liked the original. I think it's a slight improvement. Looking forward to the Franks comparison!
Congratulations! Very good looking solid boots. The way they look I think they can last for many years.The colour is unique.I am using for many years the Red Wing cream for my Iron Rangers and it is the solution to not darken the leather. Enjoy your boots!
I don’t think that’s dirt but something from the last. I ordered some and sent pics as there was a clear line on the British tan cxl and they said to send them back as it didn’t meet their QA. So we will see what comes back!
It certainly could be something different but its work Leather so I don’t care for it so much. Also sending it back from Europe is such an annoying chore, rather not do that to often. I can clearly see and feel there is a stitching underneath and they probably were hitting that when lasting and that’s the cause of the darker spots.

Those look awesome. Love 1964 Tan. They look noticeably darker than the pair I had.
