• The Warning - SURVIVE ...

The Warning isn't complicated. There's no "did you see that" stuff. It's exactly what rock was. It's a perfectly cooked steak, with a loaded baked potato, and your choice of side. Absolutely simple, filling, and delicious as hell.
This reminds me a lot of something that said Malcolm Young like 20 years ago when rock was beginning to decline, "There are many rock and metal bands and all that stuff, but very few actual rock n roll bands... Today's rock bands don't have swing, they don't fully understand the jungle of it all". I think we are facing one of the first bands in like 20 years that really understands the jungle, one of those few bands that have understood that it's not necessary to play at superhuman levels to be able to transmit that energy and that passion
I think they don't intend to make complicated music but when people say it's easy, I would like to see them playing that riff, bass line or drum parts while singing and interacting with crowd at the same time.
They are trained professionals, we should just watch and learn and let critics to someone better than them.
They're pretty much the modern female version of The Beatles, pure rock n roll.
Love them Only Discovered them a Few months ago , Cheers from Australia .
🔥⚡🤘Ale's bass is freaking awesome, love it !🤘⚡🔥
The Goddess of Thunder. ❤
You're not the first one to say "I'd like this song to be a bit longer" DPA said in a vlog (#23 if memory serves) that they'd try to make it longer, but in the end, the song was begging them to leave it be - don't fix it if it ain't broken - just put it on repeat :)
Speaks to their wisdom and judgment.
No extra notes in any of their songs. Like a Wizard, a song from The Warning is never too short nor is it too long. It's precisely the length it needs to be.
Like the girls said”If you want it to be longer; play it again!!!😂
Could not agree more. I absolutely love this song, but it's just too short!
Their reaction when told this was, "we tried to make it longer but just couldn't. Listen to it twice!" HA HA HA
"I wanted that one to be longer." That's what we all have said.
Man, that song cuts deep and fast everytime I here this. ⚡️🤟🔥
Haha! that's funny, The Warning being mentioned on a british tv show.
My 50 yr old daughter does a 1 hour commute from Toronto to Hamilton a couple times a week. Mentioned the other day that her favourite radio station (?St. Catherines Ont. 97.7 i think) is playing The Warning regularly, promoting their upcoming Canadian tour.
This, and getting a mention in a popular soap, is what a big time label like Republic / Lava can do for a band.
they played that song in a virtual concert during the pandemy (De tour concert to help venue who suffer during this period) and Lzzy Hale who also was in this concert saw them and in the chat said you go with us in tour. it was done in 2022 and it's here she gave to dany the white gibson explorer
Dull knives from their 2018 record Queen Of The Murder Scene has been played live 187 times, they've played it live more than any other song, most recent performance on April 27th. I hope they never drop it from their set!.
Me too, it is their masterpiece!
The Warning always leave you wanting for more. 😎👍
BD - agree with you on the appeal of a 3-piece band - absolutely love that I can always pick out each sister’s performance and sound. It was the same appeal for me when I fell in love with Rush in the 80’s.
Completely agree with you on 3 things:
1 - Yeah, I love that in sync leg kick Dany and Ale have during the second verse, too!
2 - Love that last breakdown/changeup; especially love, love, love Ale’s bass during it.
3 - Every good reactor has the same refrain: “wish that song was longer…”!
Nice reaction once again. Thx!
Dany teases this song on stage with 1 note for like 30 seconds everyone knows _ we fixen ta jam _🤘⚡️🤘
This is one of their songs I discovered "late" but it's so good. I think it captures a similar magic to the Survive outro, where they just rock out for a solid minute there and leave you staggered
Great reaction! The Warning is the holy trinity of modern rock. It’s almost like they are creating a new genre. Yes I think everyone wishes Dull Knives was longer, but as the ladies said in the past “just listen to it again” ⚡️🤘
The song so nice you just have to play it twice😊
Awesome react !! When they wrote this banger... they tried many different versions to make it longer... In the end they left it as it is today... they didn't like it with anything else added to it. Cheers !!!
Full DVD if the Teatro show would be nice. I'd buy that.🎉🎉🎉
I've been dreaming of that for seems like over a year now. 🎯💯⚡⚡⚡
The Warning is 100% 🔥 !!!🎵ole ole ole oleeee Warning Warning🎵¡¡¡. Greetings from Argentina.
👍👍👍The Warning bringing the 🔥🔥🔥. 🖖❤
Another great reaction bud!!!!!!! ROCK ON!!!!! 💯🤘🤘🤘
TWA thanks you again for another great reaction. I'm stuck here in the US wondering when they're going to do a headline tour. Right now they just have festivals planned in the US through Oct.
Haha, you spiked my Brit sense of humour about saying Paulina pounding the drums with Alés pounding Bass line, I’ve always thought that Pau Paunds the drums into submission 😁😆🤣
We all want Dull Knives to be much longer. It does leave you anticipating more.
Something they started doing recently in their live show to adjust for this is an extended outtro on Dust to Dust going right into dull knives without stopping giving the impression that it is longer. And it works. I’m sure there is video of it somewhere from the European /UK dates.
The sound for this show is state of the art for live rock now. Just a great wall of sound, where all the parts come through loud and clear.
I think we all want longer songs. “Automatic Sun” is another good example. TWA
THIS IS THE SONG THAT DREW ME IN AT THE BEGINNING SO ITS SPECIAL IN MY HEART ❤ ♥ 💓
This one is in my top 3 from TW, such a banger.
I tried to make a best of play list for car journeys. I just gave up and put them all. I couldn't bring myself to leave any out ❤
When the band first went to record this album at Sphere Studios in LA, the producers tried their best to lengthen it. The recording session went so well, that the band threw out the entire session and found another studio. That version of the song does exist, but will never be made public (and for good reason, it is horrible). This song is perfect in its simplicity, a sonic masterpiece!
The Warning es una banda de ROCK PURO, que se mueve atravez de todo el espectro musical del genero,Es tan satisfactorio escuchar una cancion como DullKnives,Disciple,Choke y luego escuchar Revenant, BlackHoles o Survive..
🔥⚡️🤟⚡️🔥
That breakdown at the end is a fav of mine Pau's fills are crazy good I agree wish it was longer. They said they tried to add on but decided it's good the way it is. One reactor said of TW they are an explosion of excellence and that sums them up for me. Thanks enjoyed your reaction. 🔥⚡
My favorite song from QOTMS album, but I like the version at The Cave (DeTour). This short of Pau doing her thing recently:
th-cam.com/users/shorts5wvPDeWXA1Q
And as usual, she kicks off her shoes for a song like this. 😄
To paraphrase Pau, "If you think the song is to short, listen to it again". LOL
You can see The Warning HollyOaks referance here on youtube . .
Everyone loves the Pau cam.
They recently said that they wouldn't be against adding someone for additional instruments (piano, extra guitar, etc.) on tour, instead of using tracks. They just can't afford it at the moment.
Tell them to hit me up, I am cheap 😂
🤘🔪🔥🤘
This song has a great history of performances. The first performance in front of a huge crowd at the *Hell & Heaven Festival" in Mexico, the performance at Lunario where Ale really shows off her moves on stage, and the classic Cave version when they put the spell on Lzzy Hale. th-cam.com/video/-VUCzqDyOdI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vjIjkbjuH2EL202C
in my top 5 warning songs
My favorite 3 minutes in Hard Rock!
Common complaint of their songs, they need to be longer 😅
DULL KNIVES (Cut Better)
Songwriters: Paulina Villarreal / Alejandra Villarreal / Daniela Villarreal
The rush that's in my veins, I can't control it
Tell me why
This voice that's in my head is getting stronger
Tell me how
The aching in my bones is taking over
Tell me why
My blood ain't spilling red I'm freaking out!
Feeling for nothing at all!
'Cause I found out dull knives cut better
Choke on all my scarlet letters
Don't know what I'm feeling anymore
Needles piercing through my brain
Slowly inflicting the pain
I'm plucking roses but keeping the thorns!
The truth sinks deeper slipping through my fingers
Tell me why
Pain's ripping up my skin, can't take it back now
Tell me how
Am I supposed to understand? oh help me
Tell me why
I hate to live like this, can't save me now!
Feeling for nothing at all!
I found out dull knives cut better
Choke on all my scarlet letters
Don't know what I'm feeling anymore
Needles piercing through my brain
Slowly increasing the pain
I'm plucking roses but keeping the thorns!
Ohh!! Tw Army National anthem!!!
The original version of this song they played live had more complex drum fills. Pau was really pounding the hell out of the drums throughout the entire song with massive rolls between every verse and chorus. But when they went into the studio to record it, they decided the drums were a bit too overbearing and Pau simplified the fills to make them fit better in the mix. Either way, it's a hell of a song. 3 minutes of pure, driving Rock and Roll.
Could you provide more details into the mention of The Warning on a British TV show? I would really like to find a video clip of the mention.
Here is a link to a video of the clip 😊

Simple you say? Hmmm, you haven't watched any 'Don-Music' videos have you? Check him out analyzing The Warning songs. The care and complexity these amazing women put into creating their sound is breathtaking.
It's different the point of view of a fanboy like Don that a more objective POV of a non fan. Warning music is simple, direct, not complicated. The classic pop rock songs with riffs in the same structure verse corus verse bridge. Nothing more, nothing unique or different or experimental. They aren't Muse man. You have a lot of bands doing that, Royal Blood for example with really complex bass effects. Ale is an amateur to the side of Royal Blood bass or Misa of Band Maid. Look them withouth the fanboy eyes and see the facts. They are amazing and incredible but nothing complex far of that. They are the Nickelback or Creed of this generation nothing more and nothing wrong with that.
@@Itzzy515 Wrong on many levels, but you're perfectly entitled to your opinion. Anyway, we can both agree they're a great band
Another song that feels needs to be longer is hell you call a dream live in pepsi center, react to that one next pls
I will add that one to the next schedule.
I've noticed positive facial expressions from you during some of Ale's bass riffs, but I never hear you talk about her much in your comments...
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻😀
Are you implying the acoustic set wasn’t “normal”?
Hollyoaks? Is that auld thing still going? 🤣
😛😛😛
You need to grow..acoustic is great..good enough for Zeppelin it’s good enough for you
lol
acoustic songs are good ; acoustic performances of non-acoustic songs can be just fine.
casual unrehearsed sets, however, are for the hard-cores. 🤷♂
