- Chaos at the gates of the Copa America final prevented some ticketholders from entering Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday.
The organizers of Copa say authorities did not use “recommended procedures” provided for an event of that magnitude leading to violent chaos before the big championship.

They have credentials and some power hungry guard apparently didn't believe them thought they were maybe fans without tickets and like many guards didn't stand down and apparently pushed one of them which then resulted in altercation

it's not what happened was that the u.s. was not responsible for this. The organizers are Conmebol a south america organization and they did not hire security guards or any protection for fans. it was their fault.
u s held this tournament in 2016 and the organizers were concacaf the north American organizers and it ran smoothly so the world cup will be safe.
The whole tournament was a total disgrace on and off the field. The whining, berating officials, flopping, time wasting, vicious tackles, poor refereeing, terrible pitch conditions…The contrast with the quality of Eurocup was undeniable

A representative of the major has spoken an he mentioned the factors that lead to this situation, excessive heat, police inside the stadium and no outside, no security rings, to check for tickets, weapons and to provide access to the arena, long waiting hours, confusion, crazy fan trying to enter without a ticket, people with tickets who worry they may not be able to enter, and finally mass panic.
