My favourite UNC £5 crown was probably today's purchase - 2007 Diamond wedding anniversary. The Westminster Abbey Rose window design is captivating. I would lvoe it in proof finish as well at some stage.
I agree the Queens beast’s completer medal is stunning. I do have it in silver proof. Just think of all the coin’s that can be minted if the £5 coin’s was scrapped. They could put the design’s on the £2 or 50p depending on the design that’s in my opinion only. I wouldn’t want to walk around with £40 worth of £5 coin’s in my pocket. Great subject & video👍👌
My favourite would be the 1999 silver proof £5 millennium coin I won in a Radio Times Christmas crossword competition.Great value for money as it only cost me the price of a stamp!
It’s really difficult to pick a favourite and my opinion changes but I agree the Queens Beast Completer coin is a stunner and is definitely up there as one of the favourites Great stuff Christopher & BCC 👍🏻
I have some £5 coins ,, do you know anything about them ,,,1926/1996 with flags on it .....2002 queen on a horse ,,,,,2003 william of wales ......1904/2004 with Britannia ......2005 nelson .....2005 Trafalgar ....1926/2006 Vivant Regina with trumpets ... thanks in advance
1926- 1996 is to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II 70th birthday. The flags are depicted flying from the tower at Windsor castle. 2002 is to celebrate the Queen's Goldern jubilee 50 years on the throne 1952 - 2002. 2003 I'm guessing Prince William's 21st birthday 1982 - 2003(?) The Nelson Trafalgar one was 200 years since the Battle 1805 - 2005. The vivant Regina one 1926 - 2006 was the Queen's 80th birthday. Sorry not sure about the 1904 one.
@@patriciapowers1188 that's no problem, I looked up the 1904 -2004 it turns out it was to celebrate 100 years of the Entente Cordiale between Britain and France. I never knew this coin existed so thank you for bringing it to my attention.
@@Cadence733 well thank you for all the info i really appreciate it ,,,just had another look at the 1904/2004 and it looks like britannia at the top and if you turn it round it must be a french equivalent ,, think shes Marianne but not sure
Probably have around twenty five, to thirty, but with all the new coin’s coming out over the last few years, I’ve stop collecting them, basically there just to expensive.😮

The first (and only) £5 coin I bought is the King Charles III coronation. I'm looking forward to adding more to my collection!

The UK also minted for a few years £20, £50 and £100 coins but due mot much response for them all three were stopped by the mint.
Checked your website for the Dame Shirley Bassey and you don't have it. Will you? Also, great video as always, thank you.
When you refer to a £5 QB Completer are you referring to bullion silver?
I've a 1990 five pound coin how much is it going for
