      Sure does! This is my brother's bike. I have a SV as well, but mine has the standard issue bazooka equipped as I want a clean bike(catalytic converter in the muffler) before I want a loud bike. Eventually I will try and shorten it and bring up the sound level, without butchering it hopefully...

      @@kevinrodriguesferreira2643 I can start making a guide on the install, i'll probably post it late tomorrow or saturday. Its on my brother's bike, which I don't have in front of me to take pictures. I'll post the guide on svrider (.com) in the section called "SV650 Gen2 (03-15) Tech". I may start a thread today with some fragmented information that I can organize without the bike in front of me.
      I'll reply to this comment chain if I get a guide up. It sounds like your main problem right now is figuring out which plugs go where, correct?

    Do you ever get the FI light thrown on you after a hard pull and upshift? Recently fitted a HM Quickshift on my SV1000 and after hard pulls, it throws the FI light on. So now I always have a red light on the dash, since the ECU thinks something is wrong because of ignition cut.

    • @Daschickenify

      Never seen the FI light come on, other than when starting the bike.

    Does this setup have auto blipping for downshifts? If not, do you know of any kits for a 2012 SV650 which has that?

    • @Daschickenify
      @Daschickenify  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No auto blipping support, just quickshifting for upshifts. Auto blipping will only work if you have a electronic throttle body or idle control valve to tap into. If it's all cable, then you are out of luck unless you want to rig up a custom throttle body setup. I don't know of any such kits for these bikes.

    Hi, I am installing now in my sv650s and the only doubt is about cableling on injectors. Must I conect only in one injector or two?? Cable is prepare for two but looks like that I must connect only one. Thanks in advance!!!

    • @Daschickenify
      @Daschickenify  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have to plug both injectors in. The one cable side goes back to the control box.

  • @grahamamey3201
    @grahamamey3201 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi I know this is an old thread but where did you mount the box for the harness please, I've just bought on of these and the wires are not long enough to get the box under the seat and I can't really find anywhere under the petrol tank?

    • @Daschickenify
      @Daschickenify  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm away from the bike for a few days, so I can't check it. I'm pretty sure my wires were long enough to mount it under the passenger seat. In the mean time, you can probably stuff it on top of the rubber rear cylinder cover. You could also try to fit it by the coolant overflow tank, which is lower by the rear cylinder, and on the left side.

    • @Daschickenify
      @Daschickenify  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just checked, my box is not under the passenger seat, it is under the rider's seat. I will have to pull it off to check how the cables are routed, but it sounds like you are missing something or were given the wrong cables.

    • @Daschickenify
      @Daschickenify  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Okay, so i did a little exploratory disassembly. Click on the link in the description for the quickshifter, then check out the second and third photos. The wire with the big white female connector is about 2 or 2.5 feet long, that is what connects from the injector harness to the actual quickshifter box. There is another presumably longer wire which is used for grounding, this ground wire and the long white female connector wire both attach to the box. These wires are what give you some mounting freedom, not the short injector wires.
      The way I have my wires hooked up, the ground wire is attached to a bolt on the right side engine case, then it runs across the top of the rear cylinder head to the left side of the frame. The long white connector wire hooks up to the injector harness somewhere underneath the airbox, then is routed up to meet the ground wire at the left side of the frame. These wires run straight back, around the fuel tank pivots, then end at the box between the rider and passenger seats.

    This is dope. 90ms seems perfect. Any idea if they make this for the SV1000?

    • @Daschickenify
      @Daschickenify  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Eh, I thought it was a little slow. There are tuning instructions for the timing based on whether the bike climbs or dives during a shift. I thought it dove down, which would mean the shift time needs to be shorter.
      There is a model for the SV1000, here is a link:

      Sensor threshold WAS 70%, my brother wanted it less sensitive, so I just changed it to 80%. Personally I thought it wasn’t sensitive enough, but whatever. Cut off delay is the standard 15ms, might change that later to see how it changes shift speed. We also just adjusted the cut time down to 80ms from 90ms.

    Did you install the Qs yourself and where did you mount the Sensor?

    • @Daschickenify
      @Daschickenify  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, installed myself. Sensor was mounted as a “washer” for the shift lever bolt. So in between the bolt and the shifter. The kit came with an extended shifter bolt for this purpose. The bike this was mounted on has a puig(?) front lower cowl which made things really tight when getting that extended bolt in there. I needed to hold the shifter up to get the bolt in. Any other questions feel free to ask! I’m on TH-cam every day.

  • @domihofmann1111
    @domihofmann1111 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    How many plugs did you have to connect?

    • @Daschickenify
      @Daschickenify  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      In total, five. The kit comes with a harness that connects between the fuel injector connectors, so you only disturb two connectors on the bike, then have 3 more to connect only for the kit.

      @@KnightOFGamer22 I moved it down to 80 ms, and its been there for a while. 90 ms felt a little too slow for me and my brother.
