I've got the same boat and have the same motor problems. This looks great and you've inspired me to do the same! Let me know if you have any plans or tips I could use.
Great Build I have 1996 dynasty jetsport storm 120 engine XR Where you can't find parts for that engine and part getting obsolete what have heard people put in to covert some other Engine? Thank in Advance
How did it work out?.....I've just starting same job on a sea rayder. 13.5 foot....going with 50 HP outboard.......what did you use for steering....the one in the boat....or changed it?
Mike Dill --it worked out ok. I added an outboard steering cable with the same steering wheel. Just make sure to strengthen the transom area really good to withstand the weight of the outboard and torque. Also the height is important.
Simon Gowan my motor blew. Parts where discontinued. Couldn't find used parts so i had a spare outboard. So i tried to convert this jet style boat to outboard.
Great info, I’ve got a Bayliner Reflexx with a US Marine Force 90 jet and I’m toying with converting it to 20-30hp outboard for river use
Nice work. My friend did this and it came out exactly the same.
Works like a charm.

should of left the tunnel then you could mount engine higher
Douglas S engine is mounted at right height. If I mount the engine higher it would be hard to plain and prop would stick out of the water.
Have you never heard of a tunnel drive way better
Ur crazy wanting a out bored jet it the best

you get more power using a prop jet you lose 20% of power per hp..... but jets are really fun
jet sucks in weeds
