I bought the BAIZIFU DIY Electric Bike Conversion kit 250W Brushless Motor and Controller,Electric Bike Booster kit Waterproof Ebike Conversion Kit Friction Drive Bicycle Kit (36V-48V for (16-26 inch Bicycle). No wiring instructions. The problem is the wires to the throttle do not exactly match the wires from the controller. The throttle has red, black and white wires and the controller has red, black and yellow. Do I connect the white wire to the yellow wire? Your video by the way is the best one on wiring on the internet.
Sorry Bubbles, if you're there, scrub that first comment. Those colours were from the thumb throttle to a mini connector. The wires from the mini connector to the Control Box are: Red White Black ...so no probs! Thanx again for being there. LLox

Hi I bought an e-bike that was a conversion kit put together the speed control box has six wires coming out and the twist throttle on putting on only has five I had the extra brown wire hooked up to Yellow which was constant power in the wheel would just spend when I turn the key no it's not doing anything and riding it for weeks like that all rigged up

Also, isn't it easier or more practical to simply cut the thumb throttle off at the handlebar side and fit the twist throttle there? I guess that's not as elegant as you'll have taped wire there maybe? Finally, where do you get the thumb throttle from?
Heyho, thanks for the explenation, although it didn't work for me. I think my entire controller is broken (China 2008 Ware). For some reason my Motor has no brand and has 8Pins. I somehow cannot find a motor with 8pins only 9. Am I missing something?

@@R4YY4N.R4HM4N have you tried changing the wires around? Usually the red-live Black-neg Blue/white or green- signal. But sometimes the wiring is totally messed up from factory so I would try swapping them around. Also have you got the throttle assistance on in settings

My controller with the matching throttle. The jst-sm connector has 4 pins. And 2 of the pins are for the brakes. And that leaves 2 more pins, which are supposed to be for the Throttle that has 3 wires. They are not color coated either. Like red, green and black. I was wondering if I connect them incorrectly ? Once or twice. Until I know they match. Will that hurt anything ?
Hi mate having trouble with gettin my thumb throttle to work. I've got a 3 wire connector on my throttle which is white red and black. Then 2 spare connector blocks on my controls on the bike. One of has a blue and one of which has a green. I take it its the green wired block I need to insert it to as the black matches the black, White matches the green. Red to the red. Which the ither one doesn't. Not working atall. Sound like I'm doing this correct? Maybe the wires are not connecting real annoying
Hi there, I enjoyed your video. I'm having problems with a diy kit I just finished putting together. It's a 2000 watt 72 volt kit. I finally got it working but it barely moves. I did some research for the display settings. The bike is not working at all now. I can hear the controller for sure but seems the throttle is dead. Hi I just hit a Bafang controller and on the pictures it says the pedal assist connector is red white and black,but the connection from my candance sensor is red black and blue. I've never seen pedal assist wires red black and white so if this correct what is the correct combination.so from my bike it's red black and blue and from the Bafang controller it's red white and black not in the same order just explaining the colours any help please .

I've been trying to fix my ebike for weeks now. I had to replace my controller and cannot get it to respond to the throttle input . Power is good, controller is on, power to the motor hall sensors and to the throttle is good and throttle is working, but there is no output from main phase wires to the motor... I have two green learning wires from the controller. When I twist forward it goes forward if I twist backwards the motor will run in reverse. Is this normal?

@@bubblesway the orginal controller that came with the bike had four wires. Red black white and orange. I cut the cables not knowing what went to what because I thought it was simple and now can't even get the orginal to work. Seems the orange wire also has some type of lower V power

I have bought the throttle with the LED battery indicator and ignition key with it, there are 5 wires on it as follows. One black block connector with green red black and two separate wires blue female bullet connector and yellow male bullet connector. Hi, A cry for help! ENGWE have washed their hands of this problem as the throttle is no longer in production! Apparently I need to replace the throttle and have a pin/colour problem. My throttle is a half throttle that incorporates a light/horn so there are two plugs at the controller end of the cable. The small plug has Green Yellow & Black and plugs into Red Yellow and black and goes to the light/horn. The other plugs has 4 wires Brown Red Blue and Black (the Back has a piggy-back to the Black on the smaller plug) and these four colours go into Yellow Orange White and Black. Now, I can leave the light/horn disconnected if necessary but I need a four cable Throttle and can't get information on the correct connection. Can you help?

hey... i have 36 volt 500 watt hub engine front wheel kit that i bought for 6 years ago...it started to cut and stop when im climing...never done that before..so i thought my batteri was finished..so i bought a new 36 volt 10.4 amp..but it still keep stopping when it get to a hill/climing..so im woundring what is wrong..? can some body help me..:)
@@bubblesway hey..it goes very good when its just straight ahead..but when im climing/bigger hills..sorry english from norway:) tried 10 min just small hills and most straight head it works..and when the batteri was not full charged it actually worked better when going up hills and had to work hard..so it seem that it get to overheated or something..the batteri is new as i said..and i just have connected a throttle gas on it..so now pedal sensors..and when it stopes...all shuts down ..have to restart the batteri..or wait 30 seconds and it starts again...Thanks for answering ..:)

Some key switch won’t work it depends on ur converter I wouldn’t bother to get one with key switch 👍👍

I got a aovo pro electric scooter and I'm wondering does it have a speed limit wire inside that I can cut to get faster speed.
Most electric scooters and bike do it will be a single white wire with a clip just unclip it

Use a voltage meter to check power

My controller with the matching throttle. The jst-sm connector has 4 pins. And 2 of the pins are for the brakes. And that leaves 2 more pins, which are supposed to be for the Throttle that has 3 wires. They are not color coated either. Like red, green and black.
I was wondering if I connect them incorrectly ? Once or twice. Until I know they match.
Will that hurt anything ?
Use a voltmeter and see which one has volts
Hi mate having trouble with gettin my thumb throttle to work. I've got a 3 wire connector on my throttle which is white red and black. Then 2 spare connector blocks on my controls on the bike. One of has a blue and one of which has a green. I take it its the green wired block I need to insert it to as the black matches the black, White matches the green. Red to the red. Which the ither one doesn't. Not working atall. Sound like I'm doing this correct? Maybe the wires are not connecting real annoying

I'm having problems with a diy kit I just finished putting together. It's a 2000 watt 72 volt kit.
I finally got it working but it barely moves. I did some research for the display settings.
The bike is not working at all now.
I can hear the controller for sure but seems the throttle is dead.
Are there any tests I can do with the throttle installed? Thanks in advance.

aaron binder if u have a volt meter put it on the throttle wire and see if u get any bolts show up

Hi I just hit a Bafang controller and on the pictures it says the pedal assist connector is red white and black,but the connection from my candance sensor is red black and blue.
I've never seen pedal assist wires red black and white so if this correct what is the correct combination.so from my bike it's red black and blue and from the Bafang controller it's red white and black not in the same order just explaining the colours any help please .

I've been trying to fix my ebike for weeks now. I had to replace my controller and cannot get it to respond to the throttle input . Power is good, controller is on, power to the motor hall sensors and to the throttle is good and throttle is working, but there is no output from main phase wires to the motor... Once you have it going forward, then you disconnect the learning wires from eachother

@@bubblesway well that makes sense I sat up for hours trying to figure it out. I thought the other wires were just for the switch for the light/horn. I even went back to the original controller got the lights all hooked back up but the throttle don't work

@@bubblesway the orginal controller that came with the bike had four wires. Red black white and orange. I cut the cables not knowing what went to what because I thought it was simple and now can't even get the orginal to work. Seems the orange wire also has some type of lower V power

I have bought the throttle with the LED battery indicator and ignition key with it, there are 5 wires on it as follows. One black block connector with green red black and two separate wires blue female bullet connector and yellow male bullet connector. blue and yellow u wont need to use unless u want to see the display if u do then use blue wire to red

Hi, A cry for help! ENGWE have washed their hands of this problem as the throttle is no longer in production! Apparently I need to replace the throttle and have a pin/colour problem. My throttle is a half throttle that incorporates a light/horn so there are two plugs at the controller end of the cable. The small plug has Green Yellow & Black and plugs into Red Yellow and black and goes to the light/horn. The other plugs has 4 wires Brown Red Blue and Black (the Back has a piggy-back to the Black on the smaller plug) and these four colours go into Yellow Orange White and Black. Now, I can leave the light/horn disconnected if necessary but I need a four cable Throttle and can't get information on the correct connection. Can you help?

I got my sabvoton controller witch it has red and black and green wire my throttle has a same colour but diffrent pins so if I conect them as they are colour not match and throttle not works then if I pull the pins out and conect red to red and green to green wheel start turning on it own and when I conect black to black throttle not working do u know what is fualt?

hey... i have 36 volt 500 watt hub engine front wheel kit that i bought for 6 years ago...it started to cut and stop when im climing...never done that before..so i thought my batteri was finished..so i bought a new 36 volt 10.4 amp..but it still keep stopping when it get to a hill/climing..so im woundring what is wrong..? can some body help me..:)
Have u checked all wires sounds like lose wire if it was anything a error code would of shown
@@bubblesway hey..it goes very good when its just straight ahead..but when im climing/bigger hills..sorry english from norway:) tried 10 min just small hills and most straight head it works..and when the batteri was not full charged it actually worked better when going up hills and had to work hard..so it seem that it get to overheated or something..the batteri is new as i said..and i just have connected a throttle gas on it..so now pedal sensors..and when it stopes...all shuts down ..have to restart the batteri..or wait 30 seconds and it starts again...Thanks for answering ..:)

I'm upgrading my ebike with a universal twist throttle with LED display reading just the current watts being used, a LC960 display screen, a 72v 3000w 80a controller, with a 60v 40aph battery.
