Very interesting video and I love your genuine reactions! To answer the question in the video, I was thinking the temperature probe was not fully contacting the water due to pockets of steam acting as a barrier between the probe and water
Might want to were safety glasses to protect your eyes from sparky flying molten metal. You're also getting close to welding which would sugest you might want to protect your eyes from UV light too.
The water in the tank of the heater is heated by the heating element. When you disconnect the heater, the heat from the heating element is no longer transferred to the water. However, the water in the tank still retains some of the heat from the heating element. This can cause the temperature of the water to increase slightly.
That's incorrect. It's because of the steam pockets created around the heating element. Once the switch is turned off, the pockets die, and the water once again gets in contact with every part of the pre-heated heating element, which increases its temperature before falling eventually.
@@MrElectron..I disagree with your view here.....There is a known parameter called the " time constant " ..& in this case of heating the water, it is the " THERMAL TIME CONSTANT" that's involved here..... it's because of this , a rise in temperature takes place even after the power is switched off...look up various internet sources to understand this fully. .. Before beginning any experiments ..ask yourself...the HOW'S WHAT'S WHY'S WHEN'S WHERE'S..about it..else , internet searches of the same will throw up answers you don't know... IMHO , presently all your experimental videos, only show " wasteful expenditure on material & equipment" without you fully grasping the behaviour of basic electronic/ electrical circuits & systems from an educated viewpoint.. & do take due precautions..especially with high power/torque motors...
PLEASE NO ONE DO THIS. when you play with transformers of this size you're playing with your life. I use thick rubber gloves with leather welding gloves over those. This dude is going to die some day from this
