I honestly don't give a care about Robbie's ability to sing! What matters to him is that he makes the crowd love him because he does what he does best. And that is entertainment!
I was in St James Park for this concert.. So was my wife and kids.. It was put on for people like us. Not everybody who would want to go could see it from the Victoria memorial stands, but everybody in the area could see what was going on on the big screens and the atmosphere was great for the whole event..I will remember it as a great evening put on for the the British public in celebration of the work that our monarch has done for us over the last 60 years and giving us some thing to cheer.
@@ELPaso1990TX actually the queen doesn't cost a single taxpayers penny, what the queen gets per year is a percentage of the profits made by tourism in royal estates. Robbie was amazing!! He opened the concert but didn't show any sign of nerves- he just got up there and owned the stage!!! They should have just had a whole three hours of Robbie!!!!
I still remember when i was working here in security. robbie williams, cheryl cole, jls , kylie .......they were standing so close to me but i couldn't take their autograph because we were not allowed .....i was just having my best time of my life.......:)
I am American and love EVERYTHING about the UK...I travel to the country every year. I just want other Brits to know how much I admire and respect their beautiful country and I love the Royals, love British music, just love everything and wish I could live there. Thanks to the internet and BBC America for broadcasting the Jubliee so everyone could watch! :)
Standing only about 50m from the front of the stage I can easily say this was the most electrifying start to any concert I've even been to. To say you had to be there.....
We were in London during the Jubilee year and all of the city was decorated. Sadly we were not there for the concert. But seeing the entire Mall filled with people is amazing. Robbie Williams is a British treasure, just like Gary Barlow both from Take That. America is missing out on the talent and force of Robbie Williams. I was 11 when we were in London for the 25th Jubilee and I actually saw the she was going around the city in a car, and we were in the right place at the right time. Notice Roger Taylor And Brian May from Queen in the audience towards the end.
Indeed, and a majestic performance befitting a once in a lifetime event. Robbie was made to put on the biggest show on earth to honor this most historic & proud celebration. Getting chills! Love the set and Royal Guard! All hail God Save The Queen, the royal family & Britannia...Robbie you do your queen very proud!
I still remember when the ABC broadcast of the Jubilee here in the States did not include this performance. It was really a shame because it was an incredible opening and Robbie would have had some American exposure.
Robbie never made it in the USA but is big all over the world - he goes to the USA for a rest. The Americans are missing out on a fantastic entertainer. Watch his performance on Live 8
I'm from Argentina and I LOVE the way Britain keeps its old traditions and customs and also how British people respect all of them!! I like British culture a lot!!
Can't you guys just appreciate seeing people coming together and having fun..! This is something so rare in the world at the moment....don't argue...don't "make war"...enjoy :-)
@@Slice64 I was Freddie's biggest fan. I still can't believe he's gone. BUT now there is Robbie. You need to accept that, so you can move on and enjoy Excellent music again.

I have never seen such a spectacular performances , immaculately organised wonderful pageantry and perseverance and turnout despite the English weather.!!! I'm still annoyed that the American broadcast of the concert special removed both of Robbie's performances. We know who he is. Anyways, great performance!!
Thanks for uploading. Just love it! Don't listen to the whingers. You did a great job. SOund was awesome. Hope we really do get this on the telly in the US tomorrow night. Has anyone heard for sure that we are and that it'll be the entire concert and not just bits?

I honestly don't give a care about Robbie's ability to sing! What matters to him is that he makes the crowd love him because he does what he does best. And that is entertainment!
And I'm saying this because I have seen him 3 times! (once with Take That, and twice on his own)
His shows and legacy far outweigh Take That. It's like comparing Nigel Farage to UKIP
Everyone should see him in concert. His energy is palpable, even in a huge venue!
Sam Stark uu
The Boy can sing,I assume.:)
Could not have had a better start to a concert
The only man who can open such a big event, bravo Robbie!!

You have to watch his performance at Live 8. He sings Let Me Entertain You, Feel and Angels. Has got the crowd in his hands
He wasn't marketed correctly over here. Angels was a good song but u thought all his songs were like that.
xExpressUrSelfx not just Robbie but his Take That bros too. The Yanks have no clue what they are missing.
Robbie has just started a residency in Vegas but don't know if he'll do any promo for it !

Fantastic. Robbie was awesome. He chose musicians from every guards bands. Didn't notice that on the night.
I remember watching this live and thinking. I’m not a Robbie fan but bloody hell that’s how to get a crowd started!

I love his expression when he enters.. He is f..king king and he knows it!!! Love from Greece!!! :)
I am from the UK, dont know if he's still touring but he ever came to the US I would go see him. Think he is a great singer and a great entertainer.
Robbie is to the music industry, what the Bugatti is to the motor car industry.
