Oval to Round Duct Adapter Part 2

This is a follow up to our previous video. Connecting a round clothes dryer house to an oval vent connection is a huge pain. Now we are discussing a new oval to round dryer vent adapter. Before I showed a plastic adapter that was helpful. Here I show new galvanized duct adapter that I have found even easier to use.

Is it safe to use dryer flexfix tape around the adapter where the hose meets the adapter? I’m noticing very small gaps between the plastic and hose when I shine light through.
