Today we’re putting the Disney World Monorail Resorts head to head in an ultimate Disney World hotel battle. Are they even comparable?! Well, we went straight to AllEars.net readers to compile this list directly from YOU to help your fellow viewers decide which of these hotels are the best of them all.

I’ve stayed at all three but the Poly takes first for me every time. I loved staying at the Poly so much that it inspired me to buy into DVC there.
I agree! Poly is IT for me!!!
My favorite is the Polynesian. It may not be as fancy as contemporary or grand floridian, but the pools, rooms, food, and stores are what makes it my favorite.
I love Quincy more and more! Hoping to stay at the Polynesian one of these days, can't wait to visit Trader Sam's Grog Grotto!
Polynesian won me over with their early coffee stand, Kona Island coffee bar, but the resort was sooo busy. I liked Wilderness Lodge bc I felt like we could get away from crazy crowds. Polynesian felt like an extension of the parks.
Contemporary used to be my and my kids' favorite resort. However, after the remodel, there are now no dressers or desks and chairs in the room. We had to put our luggage under the bed and keep rolling it out to get dressed each morning. It REALLY feels like a value resort now. The window has gotten much smaller, too, so the view is less than it used to be. The Incredibles are cute, and the bathroom sinks are definitely better now that the water doesn't flow easily out, but overall, it is now a value motel room. It is good to be able to walk to MK early in the morning and get the monorail back when you are tired, but that is not enough to now justify the $800/night value room.
Polynesian is that absolute best hotel I've ever stayed at in Disney World!! I can't wait to stay there again now that the refurbishments are complete!!!!!❤️❤️❤️

Contemporary is definitely my favorite resort in Disney World!!!!
1) Quincy’s defense of the Contemporary with the “putting on airs” voice is the best thing so far in 2022! Lol
2) The Poly is hands down the best resort on the entire property especially with the Moana refresh. GF is too snooty and the Contemporary is SO LOUD all the time.

My favorite is actually contemporary. This is because no one else beats their views of magic kingdom.
Prices at these three have gone way up for 2022, even high than mentioned in the video. If you can find availability the prices start around $750/night. I’ve seen GF at over $800 and Atrium room at the Contemporary for $900. Garden wing contemporary is still mid $500
Contemporary has the best views, the best restaurant in California Grill, and the monorail goes inside it!

Love the Contemporary, but last time we were there it was under construction. Curious to check out the new rooms. Love the monorail, restaurants, and location though.
Poly has my heart! Just the food blows me away there. I mean you can have a dole whip anytime you want one… ❤️
Everything about the Poly just makes me happy.
The Grand Floridian reminds me of The Hershey Hotel. Both have an old architecture theme.
I have also stayed at all three and LOVE LOVE LOVE the CR the most. The views from the tower rooms, the indoor monorail (which you can also see from your tower room), and the proximity to Magic Kingdom are unbeatable. And I absolutely buy the space port theme. I've been staying there since 1985 and have an upcoming stay in January.
When Quincy mentioned walking outside in the FL weather after doing hair…bahhahah that was ME but on Easter at Saratoga. 🤣yes easter all dressed up and at least my makeup was waterproofed (hello urban decay I see you) too bad I can’t waterproof my hair. Also I would like to let people know of the poor man’s poly and that is Coronado. Ya get the beaches and outdoor entrance and the vibe is similar at least but the ranchos section lol

I don’t really understand the pros and cons bc they can pretty much be said for all of the resorts that are being compared. But it was still a fun video to watch!
We have stayed at all three -partial to the Polynesian because we spent our honeymoon there in 1983!!!
I booked a week at Disney and was looking at all the deluxe hotels and being a family with infants and toddlers being able to walk to MK was what sealed the deal for us and we made the choice to do Contemporary Resort. Grand Floridian is a little too stuffy for my family with young kids, the poly is great but we stayed there already and waited to try something new. Plus I think my 4 year old son will think a monorail going through the hotel is mind blowing cool. I can’t wait to try it out.
Which did you like the best? Is the vibe of the Polynesian worth all the extra walking?
@@tarazieminek1947 yes! The Poly definitely has a great vibe. Better than contemporary. If I had to choose between the two I would do the Poly next time. There is a walk way now from the Poly to MK now too I believe. They are building the DVC villas there right now but I don’t think it would affect your stay too much.
We have stayed at all three resorts and by far, for us, The Grand Floridian is our fav. We have stayed there 5 times now and recommended to many.
So you really need to make an exception for Wilderness lodge in this group. Maybe some shake up in the rankings after adding this resort. It would for me. Poly is number one, Wilderness lodge is 2. Grand is third. And Contemporary is last.
Shades of Green beats them all. Matches the resort feel and has a spa. Close to the parks. You can walk to the Polynesian to access the Monorail/noodles/fireworks. Way cheaper for military too.
We loved Shades of Green. The rooms are so spacious! And ours opened right onto the golf course.
I'd like to know where he's seeing $600 for Poly MK views. Each day the price rises more and more and last I checked it was close to $900 a night! Which, of course, didn't stop my wife from booking a stay....

contemporary would love to stay there
If you're truly looking for luxury, go to the Yacht Club. You may remember that saying "if the bank box is full it's quiet?" Well, nobody seems to mention the Yacht Club when talking about the nicest Disney hotels but it's actually low-key the hotel that is most visited by celebrities...I remember staying there way back in the day, perhaps somewhere around the year 2006, and they had upgraded us to a suite and said that George W Bush (the president at the time) had stayed there the week prior while visiting Orlando. Oprah Winfrey as well. Very dark and "yachty" and while it shares the best pool on property with the Beach club, it is far quieter and more luxurious.
Adding one more reason I adore Quincy to my list!
Poly best hotel ever! Back in the day this was 80.00 a night according to my mom and dad. That was expensive back then!!! It’s crazy 😜
Grand Floridian lover here. They NEED hard wired water filters in each building to get rid of the disgusting tap water and bath water😳😳😳
Gosh I want to say Contemporary but i can’t, it’s always been so special to me. We honeymooned at WDW in a MK view for 2 weeks and it’s was wonderful! The remodel makes me really sad. While it hasn’t changed the ability to walk to MK the room isn’t worth $1000+ when it has vinyl stickers and theming that just doesn’t work. They really missed the mark this time.
The Polynesian is very nice, but too expensive- no longer worth the high price…
Contemporary. Just because you’re staying at one of these resorts doesn’t mean you have to stay there to dine. We have dinners and/or breakfasts planned at every single deluxe resort on property.

2 of the Polys cons apply to the other resorts as well. Those resorts are expensive and just as far to the other parks. Your only downside is exterior rooms. Who cares, you are gonna be outside all day anyway.

Not on this list but the Disney Riviera Resort beats all of these as far as luxury goes in my opinion, has the skyliner, and is way more beautiful of a resort.

We were fortunate enough to spend 10 nights at the Poly and enjoyed every part of the resort except the dining. We walked over to the GF on several occasions to eat there instead. That will sway us to stay at the GF on our next trip
AKL is the real $$$$
Heres my ranking:
3rd: Contemporary (would have been second if they didn’t “theme” the rooms to the Incredibles, which really looks like they themed it to Rooms to Go Kids.)
2nd: Grand Floridian Resort
1st: Polynesian Resort

Well, that's 15 minutes I'll never get back.
Disney experiences are super gimped right now. We went in September to the poly and while we loved the resort it’s all messed up. Mask mandates make it silly to walk inside stores. Staff shortages and no foreign workers really allowed to travel. Disney losing hundreds of millions and not allowed to upkeep like they use to. It’s like the early late 80’s early 90’s again mostly done in by crazy government policy’s or self imposed madness. A trip to universal is still 5k cheaper then Disney right now.
Universal is really a fun experience!! ALSO - if you stay at their “pricey” hotels your room key is your express pass!!! With early entry to hit the velocicoaster and then get in line for hagrids.
