ye, cavalry in general struggle with monsters because they high hp per model makes those huge weapon strengths mean a lot more than usual. grail knights CAN beat all of these units in a real game, but they need to be cycle charging them with peasants and hero's bogging them down.
You're almost right except for the toad dragon who underperformed... and grail knights miss there guaranteed 25 physical from lady and 10 ward save from tech who would make a difference against dragon ogres
Against the toad dragon it looked like they really struggled with its hit box. There were a lot of moments where you had nearly the entire unit touching it, but none of them attacking. I think if those knights are attacking in those instances the toad dragon loses.
i think the wedge formation would be better for the start against the single entities, as the AI seems to target them better during the charge that way.
From a battle standpoint not really, they were one of the top factions for a reason, they just have a very high skill threshold, campaign wise definitely
My guess is. Without problem Ok i was wrong. Again. More depended on animation than antilarge or numbers. Toad dragon and vortex beast did more than i expected- because they werent surrounded all the fight. Reaper too was against at best 4-5 knights at given moment. Shaggot was declased. Giant surprised a lot. Surrounded almost did win. With low splash cone.
Pretty odd result how they got beaten by dragon ogres but later demolished the shaggoth. The monstrous cavalry dragon ogres are closer to the ideal target for grail knights than a single entity is. Are shaggoths just bad? I've never used them
Thanks for the comment. To my understanding they have been considered as a good doom-stack unit. I was surprised by that result as well. I was wondering did it got stuck somehow and thus beaten easily :)
what is harder for human to hit a man or a fly ? it's same idea as here, Shaggoth is big but Grailknight is agile, Grail knight will beat Shaggoth any day. meanwhile pack of Dragon orges, Grailknight can't evade strike, all they can do is braced.
Pretty sure it got buffed alongside the game went. In patch 5.3 it has 540 WS, in patch 5.1.2 it had 520 WS, and I believe to remember this number lower in earlier stages of the game.
For it's cost, absolutely. Pretty much all of the greater demons save for the Lord of change under perform to the extreme and suffer greatly from their large hit box making them vulnerable to basic ranged units. If it wasn't for the great unclean one being the biggest missile magnet in the game I'd say the bloodthirster is the worst just because it's the only one without the ability to clean house with bound spells.
Why? Isnt a damsel there for that purpose? They are strong enough and cheap with wow. Pilgrim unit could there be for that purpose perhaps, under some condition.
Remember when Giants were considered worthless garbage? Against the Dragon Ogres, they seemed to try to disengage at one point; without that they might have managed.

Fully agreed, if they can outrun the monster, they would do quite a bit better :) Thanks for the comment.

In campaign there are lot of buffs from tech and lords for grail knights. Late game they become much stronger
Agreed. It would be so cool if one could select those upgrades for MP and custom battles :) Thanks for the comment.

A good point :) Thanks for the comment.

Hmm. Interesting. I think that has to be tested :) Thanks for the comment.
Bretonnia needs a revamp for real
From a battle standpoint not really, they were one of the top factions for a reason, they just have a very high skill threshold, campaign wise definitely
Thanks for the comment. Perhaps, the match-ups were not quite to their favor here :)
bretonnia and tomb kings need an expansion. we got like 41 skaven expansions... and a mediorcre beastmen one..
Thanks for the comment. Yea, the roster seems relatively small compared to some others :)
@ thank god radio is overhaul exist. Dismounted grail knights, knights of Morr. 13 others
My guess is. Without problem

Thanks for the comment. Yea, some of the results were rather surprising imo :)
Dragon Ogre Shaggoths were nerfed?
Hmm. I don't think so. But yea, they looked rather weak here :) Thanks for the comment.

and people are complaining that the bloodthirster is weak...

Well it is, it did get a buff I believe but we'll see
It shined here, and ofc cycling might have been even more effective here :) Thanks for the comment.
It really struggles against a lot of entities. Two units of kislevite warriors might be more than enough to kill him.

Grails miss heal
Why? Isnt a damsel there for that purpose? They are strong enough and cheap with wow. Pilgrim unit could there be for that purpose perhaps, under some condition.
It would certainly help them :) Thanks for the comment.
They ain't no giant slayers lol
Indeed :D Thanks for the comment.

Hmm. Might be :) Thanks for the comment.
