@@stephenbyers7695 it does, because it has the Ace Combat name & the reputation that comes with it. Kono was outright lying about how it's "like any other Ace Combat game". You're forced into scripted scenes to take down bosses & strong enemies. There's little freedom in finishing missions. Every dogfight became a QTE slugfest that is DFM. Anyone saying otherwise weren't around when they were marketing the game in 2011.
I actually liked it. It offered something new to the franchise, meaning anytime I want to change things up a bit I can pop off a sortie in AC Assault Horizon. It has some flaws but is nice to have in the genre imo. As long as all the others don’t follow like it then I quite enjoy Assault Horizon
I agree. It wasn't a great Ace Combat game, but it was good by itself and with its own story. It kinda felt like an air force version of Call of duty. Which isn't the worst thing tbh.
Su-33 with black, light grey and red color custimization on the upside and dark grey on the bottom side SP Missile forget the name but it was the one with cercle locking, it was super maneuvring if you keep the target in the cercle.
i liked the graphics and the gameplay aspects something new! And it was also incorporated into the multiplayer something that has probably never been able to be implemented the same game mechanics into the multiplayer!
Hate and jokes aside. Assault horizon is a great Ace Combat game for me. The only downside is, too much focus on DFM and the game is too short. I honestly enjoy playing this game until now.
@Irn Man I think the Helicopter missions and bomber missions were in Ace Combat for the very first time. I liked this game too but it wasn't an Ace Combat game. I think if they had just named it Assault Horizon it would have been much better

I just beat it and i can say, it´s not a bad game in itself. It has pretty good models for its planes, has a lot of variety in its vehicles and some neat details like french plane warning sounds that are actually french and english warning sounds for american planes. The biggest problems this game has are its uninteresting story, the way too short campaign and DFM not creatively utilized enough. Potential is there but other Ace Combat games are simply superior in almost everything they do.
Idk why but Keiki Kobayashi can make a bad game a good one with his work. This specific track is still amazing to me. Ace Combat Assault Horizon is a decently fine game, but it's because of Kobayashi's Work. Without it, this game would be hated.
To all the haters out there this absolutely must be has was and is a good game if it wasn't people would not have been responding to it 3 weeks from this posting I'm doing and the game was created 9 yrs ago!
I love this song. Seems to fit when you're getting ready for a trip.
Or a supermarket for some reason
This is the COLDEST soundtrack that i hear in my life.
This BGM is an entire goddamn vibe and I love it
Wasnt this the soundtrack for the multiplayer hanger too...it really set the tone for some good air battles
Really wish this song was in infinity.
Unpopular opinion: Assault horizon wasn't a bad game
Stephen Byers it wasn’t a good ace combat. But a stand-alone yes
@@christianarboleda7872 I do have to agree with you on that, it wasn't as good as the others, but it didn't deserve the hate it got IMO

You're right
Ace combat 7 is going to be featured at E3, might want to tune in. :)

If they removed DFM and helicopter and bomber missions, I think this would be a great game.

This track is pretty Fuckin Bad Ass though
At least the soundtracks of Assault Horizon are great. It's really a shame for the rest of the game...
The rest of the game was something new and a new attempt but just wasn't really Ace Combat. But I commend them for trying something new
as an Ace Combat game is wasnt good at all, but as a game in general is was great.
I disagree i liked the graphics and the gameplay aspects something new!
