You have no idea how much your videos are helpful to those who are struggling to grasp concepts and then working up their abilities to solve tough questions. Please do keep posting new videos. Thank you!
I'm such an audio learner. Reading explanations does nothing in comparison to having someone explain it to me verbally. So, thank you thank you thank you for making the GRE less stressful for me!!
Just came from a Magoosh video and my reaction was "how the hell am I going to do that in under 2 minutes ?"! Then, as always, Saint Philip saves the day!
Rate questions have been giving me the most trouble ever since I started studying 6 months ago, but you just made them SO much easier! I wish I'd found this video earlier.
I find it easy to solve exercises in Manhattan after going through every video on your channel. This has been my method, my exams is in few weeks...I will be back here to testify...Thank you Phillip
Hi Philip, This is the first video which I watched and couldn't stop then! This method helped me so much. I have covered all your Quant videos! For each chapter I started solving from Manhattan I used to watch your video. We just can't thank you enough! You don't know what impact you are creating for students who ain't good in Maths & I am one of them! Best Tutor one could ever ask for. Thank you again! 🙏
You are a GREAT TEACHER. I wish I had tried your videos earlier. Still I feel so lucky to found you 1 month before my test. Your quant methods are most elegantly simple and incredibly efficient. PERIOD.
Thank you so much... Your videos really helped me in my Quant, in my GrE first attempt I had 150 but last year I wrote again and I had 160.. You are a blessing
Rate work rates are the worst, the versatility of them makes a single solution impossible to apply, you always need a somewhat different one - thanks for helping us on how to solve most of these!
Like the new format of videos more, have everything on the screen as well, even if u r busy solving, you could look back at the screen to tally steps! You are an amazing teacher 🙌🏻
Lately I've been watching quite a lot of your videos, quant mostly. And I must say, how you explain all the formulae, solve the problems so eloquently, makes me understand them within no time! Thanks a lot for providing all the well explained videos. Best wishes!
Phillip i have no words for you ....really you are such a fantastic person ...you are putting all you hardwork to make people learn .keep on making vedios ...always you will get my support
I've watched many videos on this subject. I shut my eyes and listened to your rationale. Wham bam! Got the concept! Well explained...and you didn't pant trying to rush through it. Yeah, will watch out for your videos in future.
I used to be taught to solve work rate questions algebraically, which was much more confusing then only using fractions, these two tricks just cleared everything up for me, thank you!
You make my life much easier! The concepts are so well explained and very easy to grasp, that I can confidently face the problem with no hesitation! You're my favorite! 😁
goodness!! i just watched a few minutes of the video and tried a practice question from a book and got it...if only you were my math teacher growing up
Wow wow wow, I did not understand this exact question explained in the book when I attempted it myself and now you've made it seem so easy that I feel a bit ashamed haha. Thank you so much!!!
One of the types of problems I feel not that confident about. After watching your video, I understand things so much better now! I love the two tips you give - very unique and simple to apply. Thank you!
Your videos are superb , I have a shortcut for Rates problems in 5 seconds Combined rate= product of both times/ sum of both times Combined rate = 15x10/25=6
Hi. Thank you so much. I've been struggling with work-related math problems for my upcoming exam. But with your help and detailed explanation, I was able to follow along and solve the last problem presented. Subscribed!
This was a very clear and helpful lesson! Got the hard question right before seeing how to solve it! I've switched over from Magoosh videos to your playlists completely. Thank you so much. You're an absolute godsend and a very good teacher. :)
Hello sir thank you for making this video Sir i did different way last sum but used your trick . . . 3 walls Danya will take 12 h And 3 walls aurelie will take 9/2 h So now Danya work for 3 hours she finishes 3/12 of her work ie 1/4 work remaining is 3/4 work So working together Danya and aurelie will take 1/12 + 2/9 so that's 11/36 and so 36/11 h to finish 1 work now Danya had already done 1/4 work so 3/4 work they work together will be done by 27/11 hours . (Sir if total time were asked it would it be 3 + 27/11 h correct ???) Thank you sir last sum cleared my all doubts on work rate will it be this high on Actual GRE because if one mistake then answer would be wrong
hi, Hope you are keeping well during these unprecedented times. I am reaching out as I am trying to apply this method to some practice questions and am getting very confused. For example this: sue ran the first 5 km's of a 10 km race at a constant rate of 12 km per hour. If she completed the entire 10 km race in 55 mins at what constant rate did she run the last 5 km of her race, in km per hour. Thank you again for making these videos. they are tremendously helpful! Looking forward to hearing form you
Hope this helps 12km/h=1/12hr per km (i tried solving using this but it wasn't working so i multiplied by the giveb 5km in the first half to get 5/12) The second given is 55min same as 55/60hr per 10km Hence, 5/12 +5X=55/60, i was able to solve for X as 1/10hr per km flipped to 10km/hr X being the hr per km and 5km left after the first 5km I concluded that given that the race was not done together we cannot add their per km rate
Arranging jumbled paragraphs is either really easy or really difficult. All the tips I ever find online are rudimentary, would you please make a video about how to arrange the tricky jumbled paragraphs and be sure about the answer? Thanks in advance!
Please make videos on RC passages types(science, social science, humanities like...) & how to solve passages like science passage(Most trick to solve or most format or most words used), social, humanities... Please please make soon😂😂😂😂
Thank you so much for this great video. When we want to find a particular thing or an element when a ratio is involved we put that thing or element in the denominator. For example, in the second question (11 walls/ 12 hours), would mean that for every 12 hours, they can paint 11 walls. And if we multiply this by the number of walls left 9/4 we will get 2.1 walls. Does it mean they can paint 2.1 walls in one hour together.
I binge watched all your quant videos. You are an outstanding teacher.
That means a lot Mariam! I will have more out very soon. Let me know any further topics you wish to see covered.
How much time it took for you?
You have no idea how much your videos are helpful to those who are struggling to grasp concepts and then working up their abilities to solve tough questions. Please do keep posting new videos. Thank you!

Haha, thanks Cardi
You are doing an amazing job! Crisp, short, to the point... unlike textbooks.
Wow, thanks Hussain!
Wow wow wow, I did not understand this exact question explained in the book when I attempted it myself and now you've made it seem so easy that I feel a bit ashamed haha. Thank you so much!!!

I knew it, something sketchy is up with these complicated formulas. Thank you for showing a very simple explanation.
One of the types of problems I feel not that confident about. After watching your video, I understand things so much better now! I love the two tips you give - very unique and simple to apply. Thank you!
You are really helping me and other students across the globe. congrats!!!!
I've always struggled with the combining rate problems, and you made it so easy! Thank you!
Where were you when I was in school?😭..such a beautiful explanation...
Your videos are superb , I have a shortcut for
Rates problems in 5 seconds
Combined rate= product of both times/ sum of both times
Combined rate = 15x10/25=6
Thank you so much for your videos. They are quite helpful.
I was so happy when I calculated the answer to 6 minutes. I just need to remember this for the exam if this type of question is given to me.
You are THE BEST!! I never understood work rates before. This video helped me a lot. Thank you!!
Thanks Phillip. Will try this technique tomorrow.
You're incredible!! please keep doing more of these!
This is the best ive ever seen this explained. Thanks so much!!!!
So glad TJ!
So awesome, been watching your vids everyday, so well explained!
Idea for next video : Math Anxiety !!
Have you checked out my exam nerves video? But maybe yes, math anxiety is more specific...
An important distinction: work rates can be added, but not distance rates. eg. Q6 Ch18
Manhattan 5 lb (2nd ed).
Philip, thank you very much. You teach in an astonishingly easy way :)
Thanks Gagik
You are such a brilliant teacher! Thanks so much for tips and tricks!
Damn! You are such a genius. These tricks make quants look so easy. Thank you so much 😊
Thank you for this great explanation and trick. Looking forward to more difficult gre/gmat questions.

You are a top man. You have made this look so simple
Very helpful video. Thank you for posting it.
Hello Philip! Please make a video for Venn diagram and profit and loss problems and this video is real great , specially loved the last question.
Just used your trick!!!!!!! Thanks so much!
Nice!
This was a very clear and helpful lesson! Got the hard question right before seeing how to solve it! I've switched over from Magoosh videos to your playlists completely. Thank you so much. You're an absolute godsend and a very good teacher. :)
That means a lot Neha. Love your comments
Oh my gosh. I just understood how work rates work!! Thank you thank you thank you 🙌🙌
You're so welcome!
We love your videos .... keep up the good work.
This was a huge help. Thank you!!!
The second question was nicely explain thank you sir.🙏
Hello sir thank you for making this video
Sir i did different way last sum but used your trick .
.
.
3 walls Danya will take 12 h
And 3 walls aurelie will take 9/2 h
So now Danya work for 3 hours she finishes 3/12 of her work ie 1/4 work remaining is 3/4 work
So working together Danya and aurelie will take 1/12 + 2/9 so that's 11/36 and so 36/11 h to finish 1 work now Danya had already done 1/4 work so 3/4 work they work together will be done by 27/11 hours .
(Sir if total time were asked it would it be 3 + 27/11 h correct ???)
Thank you sir last sum cleared my all doubts on work rate will it be this high on Actual GRE because if one mistake then answer would be wrong
Very nice Omkar! This would be a very hard question, yes.
Wow ! This video is a lifesaver
This is so helpful...Thanks
Thank you Teni!
Very very thanks for such helpful videos
Merry Christmas to you too sir!🎄
Your videos are like Netflix for the GRE
Haha nice

Hope this helps
12km/h=1/12hr per km (i tried solving using this but it wasn't working so i multiplied by the giveb 5km in the first half to get 5/12)
The second given is 55min same as 55/60hr per 10km
Hence, 5/12 +5X=55/60, i was able to solve for X as 1/10hr per km flipped to 10km/hr
X being the hr per km and 5km left after the first 5km
I concluded that given that the race was not done together we cannot add their per km rate
These videos are a tremendous help, thank you!
You're very welcome!
Thank you Philip!
Spectacular. 👌
Enourmously helpful. Thank you!
Great stuff. You are such a great teacher!
what an absolute legend!
Nice and easy for me to understand work rate problems. Thank you for this video!
You are greatly appreciated!!!!!!!
Great advice! Thank you very much.
Awesome !!
Could you please make a video on most important topics on the gre and share tricks to solve them easily?
Thanks
Excellent Philips
Phenomenal video
Arranging jumbled paragraphs is either really easy or really difficult. All the tips I ever find online are rudimentary, would you please make a video about how to arrange the tricky jumbled paragraphs and be sure about the answer? Thanks in advance!
Hey Rujuta, great idea. So you mean 3 blank passages? I will try not to make the tips too rudimentary!
@Mister X Oh right, is this for CAT?
@@TheTestedTutor Yes, Xat, cat and many other exams in India!
Was on udemy and I found it hard to understand.
Now I do and I’m going back to kill the udemy test
You're an angel bro
Thank you so much for this trick!
You're welcome Tilda!
All you have to do is multiply the two numbers for the numerator and add them for the denominator (working against you subtract).
really fantastic video
You kill it, man
Please make videos on RC passages types(science, social science, humanities like...) & how to solve passages like science passage(Most trick to solve or most format or most words used), social, humanities...
I have no idea. Isn't that multiplying rate by work??
