I’m 46 years old now, but like 20+ years ago I owned a blue 4 door beretta. It was broken down but still in my mom’s parking lot of her apartment. When it rained, I would gather candles, a blanket, pillow, my poetry notebook, and favorite pen. I’d stay out there for hours. Sometimes I’d give myself tarot readings even. Most rainy nights I’d sleep there. My mom thought I was unwell, but never tried to stop me. The complex kept threatening to tow it. im 26 and cant drive (some of us just arent made for the roads), but this video made me think back to my family's car from back in the 00's. It's the first car I remember and the one I grew up with. It was some black nissan van. I remember when my brother was born and helping my parents put the car seat in, and the first time we brought him home from the hospital and I got to sit by him for the first time on the way home. I'll never forget the sticky cupholders and the way the windows didnt really work most of the time, only if you were lucky. I remember the first family roadtrip to disneyland from utah, and being on baby duty as the oldest sister. That dirty old van was part of my family and held many of my first memories. Now, 20 years later, my parents are divorced, the baby in the car seat now has his own apartment, I've moved away as well. Thank you garrett, for giving me a reason, space, and time to reflect.
Geminis always get weird reactions! but I think Gemini placements are inherently very curious, quick-witted, imaginative, super charismatic, and are able to adapt to many different situations. When you were contemplating all the different paths that life can take us down, I feel like that shows the true inner world and mind of a Gemini♊️ and yeah maybe Gemini’s can be a little restless and get easily distracted, but there’s so much to do in this life!!
Two of the worst people I have ever known are both Geminis. I think zodiac stuff is so stupid because we all have different souls and it is impossible for every single person with a specific sign to have the same horoscope and traits. But too many Geminis definitely fit the two-faced aspect, so I completely understand people being cautious when it comes to them. 😂

I felt so awkard when Garret was talking about how its bad to eat food and have to be constantly watching something... cause I was eating my dinner while watching this video ;-;
I’ve watched you garret for a long time i watch you when i’m eating or can’t sleep or just upset but man you never fail to make me laugh especially with you and andrew y’all 2 are one of the most funniest people i’ve ever even seen.
I’ve had my ‘97 explorer named Donna for a decade this year. It only serves two purposes now. 1. plowing through ice and snow (shes truly a tank) and 2. Transporting my stinky fluffy pup. Just can’t get rid of her!
I love your Unhinged channel. As a student with a busy life, I usually watch TH-cam to have lil eating breaks, and it's so comforting and fun to hang out with you. Thank you for being my friend Garrett
Im a first time mom who has really been struggling lately and I didn’t know how much I needed to hear Garrett tell me he’s proud of me for keeping my little human alive. Today’s been a hard day and that just made my day. Thank you, Garrett, you’ll never know how much I needed that
My first car was a Highlander I named Huey. I cried the day he was towed away for good. He was so special and was a constant, mostly reliable companion. Some alone road trips, lots of music, and additional storage from my tiny apartment. I will always miss that car and when I see a similar model on the road, I tell Huey “hello!” and feel gratitude for all the ways he took care of me❤
Garrett is chaotic but I can listen and watch him for days. Literally watched his haunted videos more than 50 times now 😂 Garrett and Andrew makes my heart happy. Hits home everytime I put a Garret and Andrew video on.
My first car was a 2005 Isuzu trooper and I didn’t even get to bond with it properly as I was driving on a backroad in a very Amish area of Pennsylvania when the transmission blew 😭 she was towed away and I never saw her again. I HAD THE CUTEST STICKERS ON IT and it had a hatchback that opened like a regular door ugh it was so nice. I mourn the loss everyday. I love you Garrett!!! Thanks for the surprise upload!
My very first car was a tan Chevy Nova with rubber bumpers. I was the youngest of my friend group, but also the first one to get a car. I drove us to so many concerts, and it had all kinds of scratches from studded belts from folks hanging around. A lot of good memories in that thing. I do miss it.
Garrett I just want to say thank you for being your lovable funny self. My grandad suddenly passed away last night and I have been struggling to sleep since, but this video has really helped me smile and feel less alone. Thank you Garrett lots of love ❤️
I'm really sorry about your grandad suddenly passing away... death is always really difficult.. grieve for as long as you need, and I hope you're able to find pockets of happiness during ur day in videos like this! Or when thinking about happy memories with ur grandad. He lives on in your memory 💖 Sending you all the love
My first and only car is a red convertible 2008 Volkswagen Beetle. She is the absolute love of my life. And in every crevice there are little toys and trinkets that really make me smile. Loveee that car
The heated seats of my fiancé's first car (volkswagen tiguan) lit our friend's butt on fire the first week he had it. The dealership blamed it on his jeans. Sidenote, I also hide those little plastic babies places and it's fantastic. I 100% will be purchasing on of those nifty bug catchers. This video was top notch!
hi Garrett, i've been waiting to rewatch this for months. today is my last day with my very first car, and i'm currently sitting in it by myself and watching this. i'm extremely grateful that i have a safer car to drive, but i'm going to miss my first car so much. it was my own, safe space for so long. thank you for this video :)
Garrett! Oh man. 90s Ford Escort. My dad's car, my beloved memories. I was so sad to see it go. It took us camping every summer, travelled Poland, died on us many times, got revived, got pushed by us. (and random dudes whom my dad called over to help lmao) I have my favourite childhood picture of me sitting in the boot, holding my best-friend-cat-so-much-so-that-I-considered-her-my-sister and just happy. That was my heaven. I can't find any specific car memory but boy, getting inside always meant good things for me. It was my spacecraft, my cave, my ship, my submarine. It was the rocket (my dad was a bit of a fast driver) that allowed me to see so many sights. Both on the way and once we got to out destination. My cat loved it too! Memories of sitting in the back seat, with her on my lap, looking outside the window. The best times. Thank you for triggering these memories. I'm glad you got to spend time with your Prius before it left your care. It was the perfect goodbye. :)
I have been driving my 2006 Toyota Sienna, Wanda, for a little over three years now and I truly appreciate her. She’s the family minivan I grew up with and now she takes me wherever I need to go. My favorite memories with her are the late nights my friends and I spend fogging up the windows in parking lots just laughing and talking for hours. She has a lot of sentimental value to me, it’s odd how if u have a car for long enough it’s kinda just becomes a part of you.
I drive a 2006 Volkswagen Beetle!!! its pretty run down but I absolutely love decorating it and crocheting little things for the inside!!! the little buggy is my pride and joy
My very first car that I only had for a couple years in high school was a 1989 2 door hatchback manual transmission Mercury Tracer. Oh man, that was a beater for sure but I loved it so much! It was freedom and independence! I always have a hard time moving on from my cars, I get attached too. ☺️
8:32 so relatable (about keeping the plants alive and having a certain plant live the longest, I think my record is 3-4 years😁) very true Garrett, we have to be proud of ourselves for whatever achievement that we are proud of 🤗 and us viewers are very proud of you 😊
My first ever car was a 2008 Green PT Cruiser that I saved up to buy since I needed one for work. Definitely was not in the best shape driving wise and it was an adventure every time I drove it. Even tho it would rattle when I go over 25 mph or constantly stop working on the freeway, I miss the vibes I had with my friends in that car. Those memories will always be important to me bc it showed me who my real friends are who stuck with me through those hard times.
whenever i start thinking randomly how much i miss garrett & his content, new videos seem to start rolling in! we’re all proud of you garrett, congrats on selling the prius AND keeping your plant alive!☺️
You constantly getting distracted and off topic is completely relatable. Your ability to remember what you halfway talked about and get back to it is wildly impressive to me.
My car is 20 years old, my first and my beloved but I literally broke down getting ice cream today which is THE worst time to break down and made me v sad. So thank u Garrett, for helping me remember how much I love my lemon
garrett i know you'll probably never even see this but ive been going through a really tough time these past few months and your videos have genuinely cheered me up so much, you are such a comforting person just in general :') thank u for making these videos they really do make a difference!!
My first car was an ‘06 too, a Chevy Malibu named Dude. If it were up to me, I wouldn’t have necessarily chosen it, but it ended up lasting me for eight years - all through high school and college. Helped me move back and forth from school to home several times. Also had one of the best cup holders of any car I’ve seen. My friends and I still talk about it to this day. It had an individual pull-out cup holder to the left of the steering wheel meant just for the driver. Very cool.
But the amount of work that went into the animation of Coco is phenomenal to see- did you know there are 29,000 lights used in the train scene alone?? Animation is so freaking cool 😭😭😭
This video really hit home for me. I just recently got rid of my beater car. It was my second one after a rough go with addiction and not maintaining my first one. I got sober using that car to get me to meetings and started to find some hope with it. My life from when I first got it, to when I said goodbye is drastically different, and I will always be grateful it. I named it Hannah after a song by my favourite band, the Wonder Years, called Thanks For The Ride. Felt like the perfect send off to listen to that song as I was dropping it off
Ah I cried for months when I had to get rid of my exact same 2006 Prius. It also tried to kill me many times but I loved that car thanks for doing this and now I can also kind of say goodbye you’re the best Garrett!
My first vehicle was a I think 98 ford ranger my dad bought me. I named her Holista after the holistic ways we had to get her to start sometimes. I had so many memories in that lil truck. It had a topper and I put a queen size mattress in it, it definitely didn’t fit and went over the wheel wells and created the perfect little pillows for chilling. I’ve smoked in the back of that truck looking at the mountains I live by, listened to reggae on dirt roads, when it overheated in the mountains my brother and I put snow in the engine bay to cool it enough to get back down, overheated a second time in the mountains with my brother and my friend, we finally got it started when my brother was up front and friend and I in back and we road down a sketchy mountain with the tailgate down clinging to the truck so we didn’t fall out bc we couldn’t stop or it would die again… Now, two cars later, I have a 2016 Chevy cruise that I paid for with my own money. Life moves on and things get left behind, but the memories stay in your head forever.
I had a 99 white camry named Epona (because duh) that broke down at the beginning of the pandemic and sat on my mothers lawn for a long time. I saw dandelions growing through the headlights and it was beautiful.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who gets sentimental about their car!! I recently totalled my own grey Prius and it took a chunk out of my heart. It was the first car I had bought with my own money and seeing it get towed away and dying in the auto body parking lot when I had to clean it out was hard for me. I loved that car a lot and it meant so much to me. So I turned around and bought the same exact car!! I wish you the best with parting with it!! 😢 it's bittersweet...
My first car was a Toyota RAV4 named Brunhilda. I got her in February of last year and at the end of March she BLEW UP!!! Literally caught on fire and blew up. I watched her burn to the ground while I waited for the fire department to show up. There were 10 foot flames that twisted up into the sky like a firenado and the WORST SMELLING SMOKE I ever smelt. I still don’t really know why she caught fire (something wrong with the battery? Idfk) but I’m sure glad I got out when I saw smoke coming out of the engine as I was driving when the fire started, wheee! I changed her name to BURNhilda, lol. Anyways now I have a Subaru Outback named Shelby and just found out TODAY that she needs a new catalytic converter so, ain’t that just the way. Thanks for letting me hang out with you in your car, Garrett. It was very cozy. Love from Ohio
Sorry if this is strange but I have been having terrible antenatal anxiety and this video made me feel a little better. Like I’m sitting in a car with a friend keeping me distracted. 😢 Thanks Garrett!
My first car was an 06 Nissan Altima who I called Carlos. He was a lil beater but got me on many many journeys! I recently had him until I got into a car accident, but seeing this video made me happy and fond of the moments I had :) Side note: When I first started driving, I would plug my phone in and it would play aint no mountain high enough OR aint no party like a chipmunk party at full volume. There wasn’t anything inbetween
My first car was a stick shift ford ranger! I bought him after 4 summers saving the earnings from my ice cream shop job. I love and think of those times with Clifford the Little Red Truck so fondly 🚚❤️🚘
I know the exact feeling you're talking about, Garrett. I had a white 1999 Ford Taurus with a VERY bad transmission and 120,000 miles when my dad gave it to me for my 18th birthday. That car was a money pit. It had a great stereo though. I spent many many nights out in the desert listening to music and looking at the stars with my friends. Very fond memories
I'm currently on my first car, and it's a Chrysler 300! It's not perfect, but it used to be my moms and so it always feels like an extension of her is just protecting me through it. Plus, I've gone on loooooots of midnight drives with it and my friends, which are always amazing memories. Just chatting, listening to music, and getting lost...anyhoo, thanks for the video Garret! Stay safe! :D
Pausing to say that it brings me insane joy to hear that Garrett loves bugs. Bugs are the best. I love their teeny legs and rainbow of colors. They come in an insane variety and have dominated the planet for millions of years. Bug lovers unite!
@corvidsoup4836 That's a toughie! I really admire beetles for how varied they are, but I think my favorite is actually an arachnid and not an insect: jumping spiders! They are just the cutest lil beans
@@corvidsoup4836I love stink bugs. Their shape is hilarious and the patterns on their backs are so cool. I’m always happy when I see one chilling on the wall.
I have an 01 YELLOW VW bug which is super cute, but I’m a 6ft tall goth man and filled it with skeletons. I have two little guys hanging out on the handle above the glovebox, a 5ft boy and his son in the back. And a bat hanging from my rearview mirror. I also have a beetlejuice sandworm on the back headrest since my car’s name is BJ (beetle juice bc he’s a beetle:) It needs a lot of maintenance and I wouldn’t dare take him out of town but i love my spooky lil guy
Goooooood I wish I'd had this video before I finally decided to scrap my first car, I would've had such a nice sleepover in it and invited a friend or whatever... AAAAAH. I miss him, his name was Marco, he was an emerald green Volksvagen Polo STATIONWAGON from 1998 (which are discontinued now apparently, you don't get stationwagen Polos anymore, at least according to my late step father - he's not dead btw, just not my stepdad anymore lol). I got Marco dirt cheap from this old dude living in the town over (I was living out in the middle of nowhere at the time, so the next "out in the middle of nowhere" town was an hour away, and I had to drive him home at night before I even got my license with my mom who was extremely nervous we'd meet cops or moose along the road heavy forested road) (but back to the old dude), and he hadn't driven the car for like five years or something cause he was 90 something years BUT he still had it fixed and worked on every year, so my little Marco was in pristine condition when i got him. He was just barely a month younger than me, fun fact. Me and my besties would fill his trunk and take him to our cabin in Sweden, and we'd also just chill in his trunk during our free periods cause it was so big we'd just be three highschoolers napping in the back there... My friends even arranged a funeral for him when i told them he'd have to move on to the eternal Autobahn, it was really sweet... I miss him dearly:(( May you rest in pieces Marco, my Polo... (get it, cause he probably got chopped up, so he's in pieces now?:c)

i can proudly say i’ve been watching garret for years and i get nothing but joy and laughs from him, thank you for always being able to put a smile on my face garret i appreciate you ❤❤❤
I felt so awkard when Garret was talking about how its bad to eat food and have to be constantly watching something... cause I was eating my dinner while watching this video ;-;
I’ve watched you garret for a long time i watch you when i’m eating or can’t sleep or just upset but man you never fail to make me laugh especially with you and andrew y’all 2 are one of the most funniest people i’ve ever even seen.
its always a good day when garrett does something silly. perhaps a little boisterous. what a rapscallion
Eating lunch at my little cubicle watching this like an iPad baby :)
I’ve had my ‘97 explorer named Donna for a decade this year. It only serves two purposes now. 1. plowing through ice and snow (shes truly a tank) and 2. Transporting my stinky fluffy pup. Just can’t get rid of her!
Haha I love it, a backup car for the messy tasks! 😂
@@clarebe4177 lol yes! Shes a rusty eye sore and don’t get me started on the interior, but she still serves 😂
The in-depth care you have for lil creatures makes my heart melt. I love you so much Garrett ❤️
Omg the "when I'm telling I'm a gemini I get weird reactions" talk was so real garrett. i feel that. I'm a gemini too...
I love your Unhinged channel. As a student with a busy life, I usually watch TH-cam to have lil eating breaks, and it's so comforting and fun to hang out with you. Thank you for being my friend Garrett
You're literally a big kid, and I hope you never lose that... But so are many of us at heart... You bring us so much joy Garrett!
Im a first time mom who has really been struggling lately and I didn’t know how much I needed to hear Garrett tell me he’s proud of me for keeping my little human alive. Today’s been a hard day and that just made my day. Thank you, Garrett, you’ll never know how much I needed that
I never click on TH-camr notifications, but the way I click so fast when you post
Hard same!
I'm happy to hear you are planning on being more active on TH-cam bc your videos make me sooooo happy!!! ❤🎉❤🎉
It’s always such an amazing and happy day when Garrett posts!
Thank you for always making me laugh!
💕
@@garrettunhinged my little heart just exploded a little thank you for replying!!
Me a 28 year old mother of 3 religiously watching you and wearing Garrett merch. Yes Garrett life is crazy 😅
Oh boy! I just made 2 hot dogs for lunch and now I have something to watch!! The sweet simple joys 🥰 I think I like this little life
i'll take one with some chili on top 🤗
i think i like this little lifeeeeeeee
Two hotdogs for lunch is so me-core

Garrett, I've never been a minimalism person either! Maximalism gives me pure joy and life! Keep doing what you do Garrett
"Making myself laugh because I live alone." 😂 I feel so seen! ❤
IS YOUR FRIENDS BUTT OK??
Omg I have heated seats-in a different kind of car but is this something that happens??? WTH -that’s terrifying 😝
I actually have 2 toddlers and hearing Garrett say he’s proud of us parents made me so happy 😭😭 (and yes they do love the cheesy roll ups)
hi Garrett, i've been waiting to rewatch this for months. today is my last day with my very first car, and i'm currently sitting in it by myself and watching this. i'm extremely grateful that i have a safer car to drive, but i'm going to miss my first car so much. it was my own, safe space for so long. thank you for this video :)
Garrett! Oh man. 90s Ford Escort. My dad's car, my beloved memories. I was so sad to see it go. It took us camping every summer, travelled Poland, died on us many times, got revived, got pushed by us. (and random dudes whom my dad called over to help lmao)
I have my favourite childhood picture of me sitting in the boot, holding my best-friend-cat-so-much-so-that-I-considered-her-my-sister and just happy.
When you are having an awful day then Garrett uploads.............Just makes you feel so much better!!!! Thanks Garrett ❤
My very first car that I only had for a couple years in high school was a 1989 2 door hatchback manual transmission Mercury Tracer. Oh man, that was a beater for sure but I loved it so much! It was freedom and independence! I always have a hard time moving on from my cars, I get attached too. ☺️
8:32 so relatable (about keeping the plants alive and having a certain plant live the longest, I think my record is 3-4 years😁) very true Garrett, we have to be proud of ourselves for whatever achievement that we are proud of 🤗 and us viewers are very proud of you 😊
Your videos are what keep me going through a hard week ❤️ thank you Garrett 🥹
As a mom, thanks Garrett. Little humans are cool, but they can be hard to take care of as well and that little random good job meant a lot!! :)
I've been watching since your apartment & prius, and now you have a house & a truck 😭💞
Just when I need him, there he is ❤️ love you Garrett I needed your chaos today
My car is 20 years old, my first and my beloved but I literally broke down getting ice cream today which is THE worst time to break down and made me v sad. So thank u Garrett, for helping me remember how much I love my lemon
garrett i know you'll probably never even see this but ive been going through a really tough time these past few months and your videos have genuinely cheered me up so much, you are such a comforting person just in general :') thank u for making these videos they really do make a difference!!
Garrett never stop being you I beg you're incredible, also great job keeping the plant alive!! I could never lol
I love hanging out with Garrett so much! (Also, every angle of you is flattering. We love you, Garrett!!!) ❤
Felt like the perfect send off to listen to that song as I was dropping it off
god I love this channel its just always chaotic and I never know what to expect
This is comfort watching! Makes me want to go chill in my much loved 2007 Toyota Yaris ❤
Hi Garrett. I love you. You’re my favorite content creator. Thank you for existing!! ❤
Ah I cried for months when I had to get rid of my exact same 2006 Prius. It also tried to kill me many times but I loved that car thanks for doing this and now I can also kind of say goodbye you’re the best Garrett!
i was deciding between going to my lecture or staying home and i stumbled upon this...i made the right decision.
Me not studying for me exam tomorrow, haha
already know this is gonna be a comfort video🫶🏻
Garret I’m so happy we both understand how handsome Owen Wilson is. Especially Mobius.
I’ve smoked in the back of that truck looking at the mountains I live by, listened to reggae on dirt roads, when it overheated in the mountains my brother and I put snow in the engine bay to cool it enough to get back down, overheated a second time in the mountains with my brother and my friend, we finally got it started when my brother was up front and friend and I in back and we road down a sketchy mountain with the tailgate down clinging to the truck so we didn’t fall out bc we couldn’t stop or it would die again…
Now, two cars later, I have a 2016 Chevy cruise that I paid for with my own money.
“Tetnis, is that a thing?” is something only Garrett would say 😭
"Wheee" I'm dead 😂
Sorry if this is strange but I have been having terrible antenatal anxiety and this video made me feel a little better. Like I’m sitting in a car with a friend keeping me distracted. 😢 Thanks Garrett!
My first car was an 06 Nissan Altima who I called Carlos. He was a lil beater but got me on many many journeys! I recently had him until I got into a car accident, but seeing this video made me happy and fond of the moments I had :)
Side note: When I first started driving, I would plug my phone in and it would play aint no mountain high enough OR aint no party like a chipmunk party at full volume.
I just want to sit and talk to Garrett for hours I feel like I’d never run out of things to ramble about
I'm currently on my first car, and it's a Chrysler 300!
Bug lovers unite!
what's your favorite kind of bug? :D
This is so real. We couldn't exist without them, they're so underappreciated and unfairly hated.
You are such a pure soul, Garrett. I love you
Just here having a fun conversation with Garrett (but just him talking and me responding in my head) while crocheting a bucket hat. 😆
Man, what I wouldn't give to have the time to hangout in my old beater on a random Wednesday in March❤ this guy is what i want to be when i grow
