X3d has a huge L3 cache. This algo is most likely using the cache heavily. For the 5000 series, the L3 chip was on top of the ihs and this caused issues with temps on those procs... What is curious is that the hash is the same as the non x3d ones which sucks for the x3d owners....
It's probably your single tower 4 pipe cooler not being able to cool. If you're spending x3d money there's no reason to be getting single tower coolers imo. Dual tower Peerless Assassin or Phantom Spirit 120 should be the standard imo
It's a cryptonight fork , ASIC And GPU résistent , nor Mally processors with large cache like 79xx x3d should do good on these , I run Rx/0 on a 7950x3d , i'll.try to give it a look
Oh yea my 5950x kept shutting off … saw it at 80 … went away and checked later shut off/froze … called my designated rig fixer and talked her through it 😂😂😂 and it crashed in like 20-30 min
@rabidmining got an external fan blowing on it and it’s maintaining about 75c on the cpu …. Hashing but barely finding shares …. And as im typing it crashes 😐😐😐 its flashing like 15-20 lines of code but it stopped mining both cpu and gpu side of the flight sheet oh great Oh and that 5950x has an AIO on it 😐😐😐
Are you getting high temps on your X3D CPUs?
The Tcc's are diff sensors for cpu ,cache and i think video core on the APU
What is good hive os hash rate fluctuations and windows hash rate is good hve test please compare both which is best
Hi. Can you please tell how to limit the numbers of core to use?
over 90C on 7950x3d. Had to get into bios and set a lower thermo throttle temp 😅
What was the result?
@@JrodD-lx2ecNow temp peak at 82c with 55-60 hash/s. Havent try to play with lower temp throttling and see if hashrate maintains.
I trig it in miner conf , even easier

X3d is a few hashs more
@@RabidMining makes sense then. It is actually using that extra cache and rewarding you for it.
Are the CPU coolers your using have that offset bracket that shifts the cooler to be over the hot spots?
No but point is Shai is the only issue and only with X3D chips
Getting lots of rejected shares across whole farm on all different cpus?
Not to many I don't think 1 per 80 shares or so
I'm getting around 5 out of 60ish?
What protocol ? 96° is way too high , I keep my 9750x3d at ~80°
Thanks for the intel. Interesting find on the heat sink.
Did you test it with a temp gun to see if it's accurate
Temp gun shows 39c at the plate touching the cpu same time if thats low and cpu is hot then it isn't seated properly to cool it.
Why dont you just trig you cpu to a level where the temp is acceptable ? I use "max-threads-hint":75, in xmrig for kinda same
It was the miner cool now with the new one. Every other coin was fine
Dual xeon e5-2697v3 50h to 80h 251 watts. 70c
The same issue here with 5x 7950x3D on Shaicoin
Crazy
@@RabidMining I use Thermalright Assassin King 120 but don't think that's the problem
@emmanuelmartin7366 don't think so either.
I have x3ds with a few different coolers and all mine are reporting high temps as well. All other cpus are fine.
Ya is weird
You need liquid cooler to stay cool. Not block cooler the gas stay warm mean it get hot
Liquid is not recomended for mining

Too bad you didn't have a cooler lying around with an LCD screen that reported the temp, to compare with what Hive is saying.
My 7950x3d 74°c normally brided 65°c in the bios. Zephyr 170w 65°c shai 113w 74°c mhhh strange
Same issue with my x3d
I.m getting 89 on 7950x3d
But i.m getting on all my rigs low latency and a lot of rejected shares...
Got 3900x,5900x,7900&7950 and some 3d..

Goodgrief how many cpu rigs u got LOL
A few
3700x 46°c
Ya all other cpus are fine it is just X3Ds
Who cares what it reports it’s not hot! It’s a bad report
