@@cliffsbackyardgarage834 no problem bro! Im deff gonna copy this since i have a surprisingly no crack dash in one of my parts truck. I need the heater core out of it anyways haha
Great video. Your comments are hilarious 😂 Just got a 2001 s10 and thought about replacing the dash. Not as jacked as yours was but it has some small cracks. Trick is finding one in the junkyard that's in better condition. You found a good one. Anyway thanks for the video and the laughs.
@@cliffsbackyardgarage834 can you post a vid about fixing that dash crack? You said you knew how to fix it where you couldn't even tell it was ever there. Definatley want to see that. Thanks
Man I'm glad I came across you vid, just bought and 01 blazer and have a 01 truck. Was thinking this was going to hard. But just looks like I need to follow the process and BAM thx man
Very informative !! Subscribed . I have a Blazer Bravada & jimmy 2000. But dash is basically the same . With those dash peices ( that you broke ) you have one possibly two chances of removing them I e found out lol ! Sadly for me the Bravada Jimmy ones do have different stereo cutouts . Looking forward to more vids
I have been looking for the plastic around the gauge cluster on my bravada for a minute, every time I find one its cracked or it crumbles in my hands as I try to take one out in one piece. I'm about to try covering one in velvet, just to cover the cracks mostly.
@@cliffsbackyardgarage834 I was apprehensive, all the searches I did before was only for first gens. Got a 1996 sonoma sitting that I bagged in 2005 also. Hey man, I have a 98 S-10. I haven’t got one from the junkyard dashboard people seem not to want to do this because of the airbags is a difficult and more risky because the airbag to deploy.
When disconnecting everything before taking the dash out, is there any thing that triggers the anti theft system? Where it will have to be reset or make the truck not able to start ?
No everything for your anti-theft system is located in your steering column you do not have to disconnect any of that. If you're having anti-theft issues it is most likely the resistor to your ignition key switch.
If you are having anti-theft system issues your best bet is to have someone delete the Anti-Theft program in your ECU because once they go bad it will always be an issue.

Hey thanks for watching ‼️ an airbag can't deploy without any power just make sure the battery is disconnected
