So emotional 😢, I've seen him live twice awesome performances, full of soul, energy and emotion , he makes you feel he's singing to you personally , , ❤
You are such a beautiful young lady! Bruce has been in my heart since early 80's. He is such a extraordinary song writer and showman, I have been to only 1 of his concerts but his voice has intered my heart so many times. Even today in 2024, he is a Star burning bright. This from at 77yr old!! God Bless him and the wonderful band that is like no other on earth.
@@africareact Bruce shows are all the best. But as fans, like me, who saw him throughout from early (1970s) got older -- and as Bruce quit the E Street Band for a while -- when they reunited for these shows, us boomers didn't take those next moments for granted. So, yes, it was definitely a best experience. :-)
@@africareact I love the way you react to Bruce and his family of musicians , they perform with heart and soul, which you clearly see God bless you good woman ❤️ btw there's an auntie band I'm sure you'd love , check out the teskey brothers "hold me " live performance, beautiful, soulful, music is a great connection
A lot of emotions emerge from this song. I really appreciated that the accordion, saxophone and harmonica could express themselves fully. Of course I am aware that in fact it is the musicians who express themselves through them.
Greetings again eh!! Yes, this one is devastating in it's emotional reach. Bruce's songwriting skills, his ability to make you feel a part of the song, to feel what the characters are feeling, to understand their feelings make his songs that much more powerful!! As mentioned, Bruce admits he loosely based this song on his sister and her husband. Great seeing the late great Danny Federici on the accordian and of course the late great Big Man himself on the sax. Two valueable members of the E Street Band who left us way way way too soon. There's a video of Danny's last appearance with the E Street Band, he basically came from his hospital bed and performed "Fourth of July in Ashbury Park" on accordian with Bruce. It's a stunning version and it'll break your heart, knowing he would pass on a few weeks later.

You've hit so many great Bruce songs. And you've still only scratched the surface.
I can't wait to explore more
Bruce never disappoints.
My favorite Springsteen performance. My heart still bleeds for the "Big Man". You are a special reactor, ARP. Thanks for this.
Aww! Thank you. He sure is missed
Best harmonica player in my opinion. Plus I kinda lived this song when I was young in the late 70s and early 80s.
The only artist I know that covers himself better than anyone else could cover him....
Ikr 😁
❤ you're reaction is spot on 🙏
Thank you, glad you loved it 🥰
