Hello I'm one of your subscribers and I am also a auto mobile detailer and you are right about presenting your business the way you dress the way you talk to your customers
My biggest thing was pricing. I was charging way to low for the work I was doing. I joined the Detail community and by using the info on there, I have gained some clients. Appreciate the work you put into this channel.
For all the other detailers out there, it’s also crucial to capitalize on opportunities when they arise, i.e. events in your area. Granted, I’m in Florida so it’s easier to detail year round, but during the slower winter months I had to get creative in marketing and just communicating with anyone and everyone. There’s a three month series of horse shows going on right now at the World Equestrian Center, full of people from all over with dirty trucks, trailers, ATV’s, personal vehicles, you name it. Go to your local events and market yourself as much as you can. It’s free, and you don’t have work lined up anyway, so what’s stopping you?
I think the economy is working against us rn as well… premium work comes in just comes in at a slower pace. Atleast what I’m experiencing today. New people call everyday but a lot of them love my work that they’ve seen but when it comes to pricing most just can’t say lets do it. I’m eating off of mostly returning clients. Rn is the time to really focus on branding, marketing, and planning in the slow season !
Hey quick question. Thinking of starting my own business with a buddy and we plan to use a 1994 Honda Street kei van. Do you think we could make that work?
I’m at a crossroads. I have been running my business for 18 months. 2022was 10k profit in 2023 I have done 2100 in January and 2600 in February. All profit. I have a TH-cam , instagram, Facebook and website just sent out an email campaign to 200 clients and nothing back. I’m looking at how to get more leads. My last 5 days was great but now no work today and nothing but on quote on the schedule and one other job to schedule. What should I do to get more leads? Feels like I’m getting a bunch of leads at once than nothing. It is growing but it’s slow going. I thought about going to local car meets. I’m in Boise Idaho.
@@ismailleghari3218still grinding 40 K profit for 2023 , 2024 was going much better Jan and February march has tanked …. April is always the busiest month for the state and competition I live with I would recommend being able to sacrifice/ commit minimum 3 years to gain any real traction. I’m in march as of now in business 2 1/2 years I have zero jobs on schedule or quotes to give . Last day worked was Sunday 2 cars for 370 . It’s amazing money per hour but the volume is not quite there yet.
Wonderful content

You are 100% right man! Get creative and go to where potential clients would hangout.

You’re 100% right man! Just have to keep focusing on what really moves the needle. 💪

Absolutely! You can make anything work for a mobile unit. People work out of 2 door coupes at times. Any van will definitely work.
