Mitzvah Tenz are the most serious part of the wedding, after the ceremony, that is and takes place AFTER the meal and dancing, so yes, a bride will be serious. She usually stands during mitzvah tanz or moves around with the gartel (knitted belt) just to keep pace. The point is for the men to have an opportunity to dance in front of the Shechina (G-d's presence) which rests on the face of a bride on the day of her wedding. In mind and spirit the men are now dancing before G-d, not before a bride.
It is a special custom at some Ultra Orthodox communities from Europe. Not customary to Sephardi Jews and secular Jews. The ecstatic atmosphere is overwhelming and would recommend everyone to attend such an event at least once in their lives...
What business does anyone have seeking this stuff out only to dislike. Haters crawl bank to your peepholes and leave the good folk in peace. I find these uploads absorbing and refreshing. This rich culture is here to stay and I'm glad.
Why doesn't the bride dance? The rabbi (who is gaining some years) is jumping and dancing and the girl only stands there... Is she not allowed to dance? If so, why not?
I love it!! I hope he isn't dancing so joyously cause he's happy to get rid of her..I'm use to seeing the parents crying when the daughter gets married.
Probably b/c it is a celebration for her and she should watch it? Maybe, it's like being thrown a birthday party and a bunch of dancers choreographed a special dance for you and you gotta watch? I don't really know. Watching this I am reminded of a quinceanera. All of that attention-lol she must've been happy. Time to shine:D
+Qayoom Abdul You are right. I want to make a test and ask to all youtubers to try to find only one jewish wedding clip in which you see a smiling woman.
+Angueran DeLaMouliniere no what does that priest has to do with women? se is for her husband not for that old idiot. .. if her husband do such things with her she will look good
+impychimpyable its a jewish ultraorthodox wedding. the bride is fully covered....and since men and women can't touch eachother, that's the reason they're dancing like this. and if you were wondering why you only see men, it's because men and women have to stay seperately. i hope you got some answers for your questions
Chat is a waste of time I see, so what is going on exactly with the bride and the man and that string of cloth? who is the man dancing around her? why is he doing that? and what is this mitzvah tantz? It is facsinating to me this. Thank you for the reply to you and to Adi Mu.
I think is might be the top rabbi. Sometime Top Rabbi dances with her for a blessing on her and Sometimes it's the father. All it depends on the ceremony you go to. that's what I was told
Wow! This is very nice .... Did Mosis do that when his douther got married? I'm realy sorry about there way in wedding cermony becouse it's not the way what the prothits of israel did !!

What I wouldn't have given to have had my father dance joyfully around me on my wedding day!
Just so everyone is clear, this is a father-daughter dance.
Father-daughter dance? It's more like man jumping around his slow pet. Woman's role there is quite submissive and degrading.
SINC0MENTARI0S beware of offending the sacred town!!
SINC0MENTARI0S er not really . Jewish women have a lot of rights there . It's just a father - daughter dance .

glad I read this honors her really. But I cant see His shechina glory without seeing her eyes-the window of her soul
62betcha haha. thank you for being so patient with all our foolish ignorance.

I'm just so confused?
Most people in Britain have a wedding dance in a hotel. This is in an aircraft hangar, complete with concrete floor and crowd barriers! Weird.

+impychimpyable It's the latter part of a Hasidic wedding called a mitzvah tantz.
Chat is a waste of time I see, so what is going on exactly with the bride and the man and that string of cloth? who is the man dancing around her? why is he doing that? and what is this mitzvah tantz?

+impychimpyable its the father of the Bride dancing with his doughter

@subwoffer
