It’s so beautiful. I’ve been to so many and I am overwhelmed every time. Do you ever wonder why a bride wears a veil? A couple of reasons. One is that the man is marrying her for her inner beauty, not the physical. But there is something far bigger than that. Gd’s presence shines on her face and her face is too holy at that point to be exposed. So beautiful.
Side note. My toddler grandson was out of control and I was looking for something to try to calm him down, nothing was working, and I started playing this. He stopped his tantrum, came over to see and was mesmerized. Then he started dancing and humming along. I kept playing it over and over! I had put on other videos and he didn’t stop, somehow this calms him down. So now I use it whenever he goes into his terrible two tantrum. Works every time!

Since the Rabbi is highly regarded, the bride shows awe, not fear, and she could be tired. A Jewish wedding is joyous, and it can also last several hours, so I hardly think she is sad.

This is a very strict Orthodox tradition and it is Jewish and it is often of still performed in Israel Coming from a strict Jewish Family myself I have experienced this often while I have chosen to be more modern this is still a very common tradition and ritual practiced today
