I have had the pleasure of a boy and a girl Can Corso. My boy has passed away and he was the best. My little lady is still going strong. They are the best type of dogs.
Ah I’m sorry to hear that. How old was your boy? They really are the best most loyal and loving dogs aren’t they. Do you think you’ll get another to keep your little missus company?
He was 14 years old when he passed away. I dont think im ready but she acts like she is.

To be honest. I don’t know. He was surrounded by love. My whole family shared him. He would spend time over my brother and sister house. They did not have a dog at the time. So we shared him. He went to every family reunion and every get together then I got my girl and by that time my sister bought a cane corso and my brother had a lab for awhile. My mom said we prayed for him!
@@kiwibottomful ah that sounds really really nice. I’m sure that’s why he lived so long! It’s hard with 2 males who are close in age especially at this age, they’re such a handful. I need to do more of what you did though. Maybe take it in turns. Take Ulysses out for trips and then Kenji. Glad you are in the corso club!

My Cane Corsos are raw fed, they normally have one fasting day in the week , where they only have water intake for that day. As you have said it’s always good to have your dogs fasting .

@@CorsoBros Thanks , I have two Cane Corso male and female , 2 & 5 years old , I would not have any other breed of dog , you don’t have to train them to guard , they just need an experienced owner who is a pack leader .

2 males corsos in the same house is no joke, one day one of them is going to try to be the dominant one.
It certainly is. Most of my time is spent managing the 2 of them. For the most part they are fantastic, and they love each other so much. But Ulysses the younger one is now around 8kg heavier than his older brother and is starting to realise it by throwing his weight around. Sometimes they have squabbles. But I’m always straight in there. I make it deeply know that there is no time or space for dominating behaviour in my house. They fully understand the boundaries.

curious with how you managed their diet from the time of getting them to present time. Especially with the fasting part lol Do you mind breaking it down for me and possibly others that may want to inquiry about that?
Great question! Up until about a year and a half old I fed them 2 meals a day. Breakfast then big dinner. Now they do better on one meal a day. A very nutrient dense, protein and fat rich meal.
@@CorsoBros ahh I see. Was just wondering if you might've had them on that diet from young lol given to them growing the fastest in their younger months. Their joints can't handle all of that weight have it be that they're fed too much. But you already know what the hell you doing clearly lol beautiful dogs you got with you, man. But yes you’re exactly correct. I see a lot of people over feeding their large breed dogs, perhaps to make their ‘the biggest and baddest’. Which is not great for the dogs because as you say their joints can’t handle it. Ulysses is already on the heavier side of the breed at 57/58kg. They need to be athletic and able to work 💪🏼
I have 2 Corsi brothers they are 1 litter apart and my boys are more focused on play and fun then anything else

@@CorsoBros started in Cali now I'm in Texas and I work them all and they all are trained to be around eachother and in any environment also I typically take 2 of my dogs at a time to work with me lol even when my females are in heat none of my dogs ever fight and my males will straight up ignore an in heat females if they both are out of their crates together and it's play time lol

Question. Why do you boil the meat? And if you’re feeding just a raw diet where is your bone for the diet?
Good question. Purely for hygiene and parasite reasons. Just in case. I don’t boil it for long anyway. The bone is ground up in those blocks of mashed up organ meat and animal meat.
Hi after some advise my puppys are walked 2 hours a day but constantly play fight but to the point that there not listening when i tell them to stop so its getting very caotic iv tried using treats so it ends up 1 in the cage any help please
Well I’d say you’re doing a good job so far! First off let me ask you - how old are they? What breed? Cane corso? Are they male or female?
You practise 2 things. Utilise the crate as much as possible. If they aren’t listening you have to put them on a time out in the crate to calm them down. And secondly they must realise that you are their access to resources (food, love, toys etc) and in order to get these resources they need to listen to you and do some obedience training - then you can give them their resources. Like sitting, Shaking hand, going to bed (crate) etc. In fact I have a video coming out tomorrow where I explain this further during the obedience training part of the video. But also remember that puppies are full of energy and letting them play together is a great way to use energy and understand boundaries of play. Keep it going! You got this! 💪🏼

How much does it cost to feed and take care of them?
A lot! Hence why this channel exists 😅 but the bulk of their food is a company that delivers mashed up meat and organs. Which is reasonably priced. Most costs with dogs like these are heavy duty toys they destroy pretty quick, vet bills, dog beds etc.
Good luck when they get older. They will challenge and fight each other quite a bit. Or at least my 2 males do.
You aren’t wrong. They do have scraps and disagreements here and there but I’m there immediately to stop it and make sure they squash the beef. They’ve grown up with eachother since they were 3 months old and they’re half brothers. And I make it crystal clear there is no space in our home for dominance or scraps etc. how old are your 2 boys?
@@CorsoBros Mine are 5 and 10yrs old now, and still scrap hard once in awhile. Then they are perfectly fine when the fight is over. All dogs have there own personalities, but if you have 2 more dominate type dogs, they will test each other. They are not for the faint of heart.
@@HotCatShit aww bless. Bet they’re lovely. They do calm down when they get older but I can imagine your 5 year old is in his prime and your old boy must be like ‘calm down young man’ 😂. They certainly are not for the faint of heart you’re right. The key is an unwavering confidence and strict unrelenting boundaries. My boys aren’t allowed on the sofa or in bed or even the living room. They have their own little area in the living room and they know not to even step foot out of it!

They are from Eastern Europe my friend. Lots of good working dog breeders there. Be aware of the laws of importing dogs that are cropped and docked in your country. Some have rules that you can or can’t import cropped dogs.

why are their tails cut?
Great question. Tail docking is a traditional practice that goes back to the ancient days of this breed and many others. It was believed that it removed any snagging points when these sort of breeds were used in ancient antiquity for hunting and driving large game etc. Nowadays in keeping with tradition and AKC standards, many breeders especially working dog breeders in Eastern Europe (where my boys came from) do it as standard practice before they advertise the puppies for sale. In the modern day they aren’t used for fighting or hunting etc but because they live in modern houses, they can break their tales against coffee tables and knock things over so it has some practical benefits. There’s no cruelty involved. It’s done under general anaesthetic. Similar procedures are done for removing dewclaws etc.
How much was that food per dog in kgs please?
It varies quite a lot! Depending on how much exercise they’ve done that day and what their body composition looks like. Usually it’s about 2 to 3kg of food each.

I would highly recommend feeding 2-3 times a day vs 1. This breed is prone to bloat and can be fatal.
The bloat is true. You’re right. Which is why I make sure mine are in their crates and resting for adequate time before they come out. Fasting is a proven protocol for dogs (and most living things) to live long and healthy lives. It’s closer to their natural diet and eating routine. It helps keep their composition optimal.
Comments like these cause bloating lol. But nah.. the usual culprits behind bloating in dogs are food gas and fluid, causing an expansion from the stomach and on to other organs...... hence why he puts his dogs on an intermittent fast. It works the same for dogs, as it does for humans.
The amount of times is not important, your referring to what we bodybuilders do, to prevent this give them the one meal wait 20min the full exercises pull rope ball play tug of war. Whats more important it’s when you give them dry food, it’s air pockets inside the stomach just soak it in water to prevent this from happening, had a Scottish deerhound with the problem. I’ve got a 65kg Alfa female cane Corso, feeding her isn’t the problem stopping her from eating 😜. As soon as she gets fed tug of war pull rope ball play, guys the the gym thought I was giving her some special juice.

Uk accent? Illegal to cut ears and dock tails unless there imported like that
Yep, they were imported from Eastern Europe from a working breeder. Cropping ears and docking tail is a practice that is illegal in the Uk, but as of yet importing is not illegal. I didn’t choose them to be this way, working dog breeders outside Uk tend to do it as standard.

It’s not fully cooked. Only partially. We live on a farm and it’s important to minimise potential parasites and microbes, but keep benefits of raw.
