    Are the Tsunami 2 sound decoders in Athearn Genesis locomotives a full function decoders.

    • @SoundtraxxDCC

      Yes, they are. The default function assignments may differ, but you have all of the same features as aftermarket Tsunami2 decoders. We have a few videos on the topic that you make like: th-cam.com/users/results?search_query=soundtraxx+factory+installed+decoders

    How do you prevent premature lighting effects from shutting down?????? For example My Tsunami2 PNP decoder I have mars and headlight come on simultaneously when I hit light button on My NCE power Cab. Then I let it run but shortly after running the lights turn off without me touching any buttons.

    I wish there was more BASIC info on this system included either WITH the locos that are equipped with Tsunami2 or online!! It seems that all the online instruction has skipped past the BASICS needed to produce the different sounds. For instance, and in my particular case----I have a T2-equipped Athearn Genesis and am using a PowerCab. What exactly do I need to do to be able to play sounds like coupler clank, brake squeaks, 'general service' sounds, etc. I see the chart in the Athearn 'Owner's Manual and Sound Guide', but not a single example is given which demonstrates how to produce any of the plethora of sounds described!! CV 1.305 and CV 1.306, 'couple' and 'uncouple' sounds like something I'd like to hear-----how do I play those sounds with the set up I've mentioned? CV 1.313, 'fuel loading' sounds useful too, since I have a loco service facility on my shelf layout, but I have no idea how to play those sounds.

      We don't have control over what the locomotive manufacturer supplies, but we do have a lot of documentation you may find useful.
      CV default sheets for factory installed decoders by model: soundtraxx.com/reference/factory-installed-decoders
      Sound Selection Reference, User's Guides and more for all of our products: soundtraxx.com/reference/manuals/
      Our TH-cam channel is full of helpful videos.
      And we have a full time Support Staff to answer any questions that you have. SoundTraxx Support Department: soundtraxx.com/contact/technical-support?

    I recently backordered an Athearn Genesis GP7 with Tsunami 2 from the factory. Are all of these settings (prime mover pitch, horn reverb and echo, etc.) able to be changed on a Tsunami 2 decoder installed into a locomotive at the factory?

    • @SoundtraxxDCC
      @SoundtraxxDCC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Is it possible to change the pitch of the horn?

    • @SoundtraxxDCC
      @SoundtraxxDCC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right now we only have this feature on the prime mover. You can change the volume, reverb and echo on the horn though to get a unique sound out of each horn. Thanks for reaching out!

    • @SoundtraxxDCC
      @SoundtraxxDCC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      CV 160 is cab chatter volume. So make sure it’s not set to 0. Please contact our Support Department directly for more help with this, thank you. SoundTraxx Support Department: soundtraxx.com/contact/technical-support?

    Ur decoder is more user friendly the the lok sound decoder in which u have to be a rocket scientist and buy there programmer... I do love there gevo engine sound since they went to get of erie in which is my old home town...plus I'd used to work at ge erie plant and I was one of there painters there and painted a few gevos and ac6000..... Like to see u guys make a decoder for fox valley gevos....

    • @SoundtraxxDCC
      @SoundtraxxDCC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We do have GEVO sounds on our GE decoders. We also have tools like echo, reverb, 7-band equalizer, and prime mover pitch shift that you can use to personalize these sounds to better match your model/preference.

      Never had that problem in over 100 tsunami installations. 5 bad decoders sounds like it's your lighting circuit, bulb, or resistors.
