I can't help but notice the little things you've done and added to your bike. suspension seat post. handlebar adjustable goose neck. mirror. tool at the bottom bracket frame. I'm loving it.
In my estimation, the Fatfox bag is just the ticket for carrying my spare Aventure battery: it's exactly the right size, is rugged, looks great and is a dry bag as well. I have my battery wrapped in bubble wrap just in case and it's still a perfect fit in the Fatfox bag. I don't consider having to strap the bag down with bungee cords a negative because I'd have done that with the Sahoo or any other bag too. Thank you for this video!
I used the FatFox bag on my 53 mile ride the other day. Used a bungee cord as well. Luckily I had that bungee cord as I ended up needing it to keep the rack from separating. Great idea about the bubble wrap!
You are the man!!! I just received my spare battery today from Aventon. I went shopping for a battery bag, couldn't find what I was looking for & behold I find your video six hours later. Ordering now thanks !!!
I have the same bag and what I did to modify it was used zip ties. opposite of the straps there's 2 plastic holders Use the zip ties on the plastic holders Attaching them to the bike rack. Now you have enough strap on the other side To hold the bag in place.
SMART! Although you would have to cut off the zip ties every time. I do have additional velcro straps that I could use thru those 2 plastic holders. Thanks for the idea!
Hey! Love the videos. Looks like the FatFox bag is no longer available on Amazon. In theaat year have you found any other bags that fit the Aventure battery? Just picked up the A.2 and a 2nd batt. Hoping to find a simple case that works. Thanks.
This is not marketed as a fireproof bag. I do mention. The safety strap. They did not build this bag to be a charging fireproof bag, they build for storage while traveling.
Scott, did your spare battery come with the battery cover? I recently got my spare battery and was disappointed to find it didn’t come with a cover and switching cover is a pia. Thanks for the battery bag advice, I am going to carry my spare battery with me on adventures ad this video helped immensely.😊
Thank you for sharing. I have an extra battery and am now waiting on my extra battery cover to come in. I don’t have the Aventure rack, I am currently using an inexpensive Schwinn seat post rear rack that I picked up at the local big box retailer. Do you like and recommend upgrading to the Aventon Aventure one? Thanks!
I know others who use different back racks but I am one of those guys who like to use fenders and racks that are made for the bike. So I'm a fan of the Aventon rack.
Great video. I remove the battery when I transport the ebike. Now what to do with the battery? I wonder if anyone ever used a Pelican type hard case that can hold two batteries and the charger?
I do. This is my favorite seat post. The Redshift ShockStop. amzn.to/3HHy2ni and I have put this seat on two of my bikes. Wittkop Bike Seat. amzn.to/3O5kbJP
@@theblowupdollsmusicI love my heavy duty easily adjustable Kinekt under seat shock absorber. Great engineering, high quality. Old spine cannot hack hardly any bumps without it.
The only thing I don't like about the soft bag is you'll beat the battery to death while you're riding down the road it'll tear the battery up I would think
I have an Aventure put about 150 miles on it so far. Really liking the information your putting out keep the vids coming.
Thank you! I have more coming.

Thank you. I will be doing a video real soon about all the things I have added.

Glad I could help!
Been loving your vids!!!
Thank you!
I’m sorry that Velcro didn’t fit around the rack. Looking forward to the next vid!👍
I am now second-guessing if I am going to take the effort to modify that bag. I might just keep the Fatfox one and use my bungee cords.
Just purchased 1 for me, and 1 for my wife, we pick them up tomorrow....can't wait to get out on them!!
Hope you enjoy them!
@@scotthardesty Thanks Scott, Picked them up today and rode them for hours...What a blast!!
Your videos always super helpful
Thank you!

what a great video, I was looking for this exact thing.
Glad it was helpful!

Dang it! Every time I find one that works it gets sold out and no longer available.
practical approach for simple bags but nothing about the other role of bags: safety, fire protections when charging etc. etc.

Awesome video, thank you!!!
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for your video's saves me a lot of time
Glad to help!
I carry mine in my pannier bags. I wrap it up and it works well.
Hadn't thought of that. Maybe I will see how it fits with my bag that has panniers.

No. Sińce they have various colors of bikes, the battery doesn’t come with a battery cover, you have to purchase it separately.
What kind of watch do you have ? I love the band color
It's an apple iWatch with this band on it. amzn.to/3X8ahvA
thank you for your service. is that the aventon aventure rack on your bike?
Thank you for the support. Yes, it’s the factory rear rack.

What is your recommendation for a rack mounted rear blinking tail light for the Aventure 2?
Here is one that I love. amzn.to/3Qj7OwZ
Great video. I remove the battery when I transport the ebike. Now what to do with the battery? I wonder if anyone ever used a Pelican type hard case that can hold two batteries and the charger?
Thanks! No clue as I keep my battery in when I transport my bike. I know it’s not preferred but my battery is in tight so it’s not a problem.
Can the straps on the soft bag wrap around the rack and remain secure?
I do wrap them around and Sinch them down but I would want more security
This is why I add bungee cords then it doesn’t move at all.
Ranger lead the way!
Yeah we do. hahahaha
so you never did the second video? You decided on the Fat Fox bag?
Oh crap. Yea, I use the fat fox.
@@scotthardesty no worries wanted a bag for the extra battery but wanted a "roomy" back to add a set of tools etc..
What about the fireproof bag for batteries? I keep my battery in it @ home so it won't catch fire. Just Bungie cord it to your rack.
I don’t use a fireproof bag but heck yeah that would work!
Just curuous…how long is ur battery?
Hi. Where did you get a fireproof bag ? I could use three now. I’m very careful how they are charged and would like to up ante for storage. Thanks.
The Sahoo bag with a bungee cord seems to work.
Good to know! I know that new bags have come out since this video so thanks for the update.
Its quite snug but it works for me. @@scotthardesty

when its properly secured to the bike rack it doesn't move. There is enough room to wrap it in bubble wrap or some sort of soft cloth.
Where do you find the extra battery?
Direct from Aventons website.
where did you get your spare battery?
Bought it thru the Aventon website. You have to purchase the battery cover separately.
What is the cost 😕
@@wayneparham9701 $500 for the extra battery and $12.50 for the battery cover to match your bike color.
$400 now
