Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2018 in action at Monza Circuit: Accelerations, Fly Bys & Turbo Noises!

- I'm uploading this video with a bit of delay, as I already had put aside the clips in a dedicated folder for a couple of years now. It's all dedicated to some Ferrari 488 GT3 race cars I recorded during various test days at Monza Circuit in 2018 and 2019, all equipped with the 2018 Evo kit, the first package of updates the Italian GT3 racer obtained after two year of activity.
This kit introduced important aero updates on the front bumper and rear diffuser. For the front area there's a new shaped and wider splitter featuring a less steep transition between high and low sections compared to 2016 one. The side area of the front bumper has also been remodelled to get a better air flow, increasing drag. A carbon fibre vertical element has also been added just ahead of the front wheels.
On the rear the differences can be found on the exhaust, now with a more oval shape than the perfectly circular of the 2016 GT3 and you can also noticed how the big rear diffuser has been modelled. It’s very easy to distinguish the Evo kit in particular by looking at the rear thanks to those yellow, carbon/Kevlar winglets.

Last year, Ferrari unveiled a second kit of upgrades (called Evo 2020) which introduced some changes to the front bumper, front wheel arches plus further features. But we'll better talk about it in a dedicated video ;)

hey mate, were you at the italian GP on the weekend? hoping to see some trackside footage!
488 GT3 (& also GTE version) need louder exhaust. Although it sounds good in my opinion for turbo engine, but I'd like to hear it louder.
Love the look of the car but the noise is awful for me. Barely sounded much different to the Hyundai. The Porsche noise blew it away!! Thanks for the vid!!

Why is there no F8 GT3 yet?
looks like we’ll be getting the 296 GT3 instead. 👀 probably Ferrari’s attempt at using smaller engines ( V6 ) to compete. Same fate as F1 unfortunately
