- The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life are the oldest tricks in the book. Just as Satan deceived Eve into believing God was holding out on her, we too can be tempted to believe that what God has forbidden is the key to our fulfillment. Can God be trusted? In this message we learn that while the consequences of disobedience are disastrous, the Lord has a plan for our redemption.

What an eye opening sermon.!! I love Skip’s faithfulness to the Lord. I learn so much through the Word of God and Skip has the perfect approach to it. He explains it in sizeable chunks and never compromises the truth.! Praise God for His servants like these.

Pastor Heitizg this video Genesis 3 was quite compelling. I am a 70 year old male. Initially raised Catholic . I stopped attending church during college. I've now looked at my place in this world and found a need for finding a solid relationship with God.
My wife (soulmate) of 40 years died, as did my son. These deaths left me reeling. I found your channel and watched various videos. Current ones, Bible at 30,000 feet. But last night I started with Genesis 1, 2, and 3. During Video 3 in the last 1/3 . Where you delve into the "Invisible Wars" book, (which I will find and read).
The discussion around that topic was so enlightening I can't say more than thank you. Things went from fuzzy to 4k video . A bad attempt to create an analogy.
I live in Atlanta I am going to find a way to become "born again" first I need to understand what this is. I guess I am trying to find the path to committing to this concept. I am going to slowly digest the ongoing videos like it's a course and approach them one at a time in the order of how they were created (following the Bible).

I was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis at age 17 (I’m 36 now), the muscles don’t so much atrophy as MG causes your body to be very weak. It means “grave muscle weakness” in Latin. But excellent and VERY unexpected analogy!!
A very big huge thank you for your videos!! While it does very much suck to be house bound quite often (MG is an autoimmune disease, so hard to fight off the yuckies), it is a huge blessing to have your videos to learn through ❤

God walked in the garden, In the old translators'. The WORD Walked in the garden. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. So it is Jesus who sees A&E dressed in leaves from trees
😲 Powerful Revelation, people blaming the Woman for listening to Satan and eating the 🍎, when in fact we (Woman) were created as Man's helper, he is the Leader so as a Leader he failed God 1st and the Woman by listening and doing what she told him.
Woman is not scotch free, NO! She was deceived and still is being deceived to this today with Woman Power, Woman Movement...etc.
Satan was not a beast of the field as the serpent is. Satan was not cursed to crawl on its belly as the serpent was. Satan was called a dragon first not a serpent. Satan was not a serpent just an angel with serpent tendencies unless you're saying that Satan is also a dragon. No, he is an angel with both dragon and serpent tendencies. People are called serpents (snakes) all the time it does not mean that they are truly these animals. Satan was in the garden, but he was not the serpent, but it does not say that Satan tempted Eve. Your analogy is flawed. There is nothing that is in the text that said Satan had control of this beast (serpent) of the field. Satan was not physically a serpent nor a dragon.
Pastor Skip (or anyone else who is reading this and can answer), what is meant in Genesis 3:16 when God says, "I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception"? I think you inserted "pain" here (although that may be what it says in your translation, so I mean no malice by that comment) but it says sorrow and conception in NKJV.
It reads like maybe women weren't initially supposed to be able to give birth to 10 or even 12 children (it doesn't happen as often today, but many women still do have that many children or more in a lifetime). "I will multiply your sorrow" makes sense if I take it relatively literally (and I think it should be), so that would seem to indicate that the second half of that should be taken literally, too.
Do you think that's what God meant here by multiplying Eve's (and women's) sorrow and conception? That because of sin, women would conceive more frequently?

@timothy According to Genesis 3:15, the Seed (notice the S is capital) of the woman is the foretelling that Jesus would be born of a woman: "And I will put enmity (open hostility) Between you and the woman, And between your seed (offspring) and her Seed (Jesus); He (Jesus) shall [fatally] bruise your head, And you shall [only] bruise His heel.”
