@@big_jimcooley2679 Sounds like it's about time then! If he can't tour in the states then he needs to return all that royalty money he made over the years from US buyers! 🙂
Wonderful drummer ?? Playing a straight beat all through the song is hardly rocket science ! However , it is good to see a drummer not overplaying and giving what the song needs to drive it along
Here you can see and hear the difference between real top musicians and their timeless hits and all the boring current artists that the record industry has been putting in front of us since the 90s.
What happens is the commodification of an activity. At 'Disco' it was no different, 'The Trammps' were one of the precursors and then came industrialized things like 'Boney M'. As a general rule, there is no music band without most of its members are really musicians and 10 years of success is enough for those who are not musicians to give up the activity. === O que ocorre é a comodização de uma atividade. Na 'Disco' não foi diferente, os 'Trammps' foram um dos percursores e depois vieram coisas industrializadas como 'Boney M'. Yes, I was thinking the same thing! That solo is really one of the more unique picking an whammy bar techniques on the recording, was really hoping to hear it in all its live, raw glory on this!
Yeah unfortunately should be mainly Tim then anto would play the guitar solo tho unfortunately Mike would do it for respect for his mate as his mate originally did the solo on the studio album tho sadly he’s not alive on this world anymore w Mike so ion get y anto should play guitar w him aswell
This performance IS ALL LIVE...and its great!...But the version HERE....th-cam.com/video/DCUmmvWHS2Q/w-d-xo.html........ probably sounds better than this LATEST one in some ways(The keyboard parts are MORE ACCURATE as the ones on the backing tracks are possibly from the original recording and pretty well sound SPOT on).......But UNLIKE this version IT IS NOT ALL LIVE.....The drummer is playing to a click track, there is no Bass Player and there is a keyboard bass in there along with OTHER keyboard lines to complete the sound. They would have needed another live keyboardist to do it ALL live like they have here.A brilliant song and brilliant performances by the musicians in this earlier version too but DEFINITELY a backing track as well.
Great,Band love the Lead Keyboard and of course Nicholas on 🥁 Great job man you Rock!!!🎉
50 years of listening and I never get enough. Mike is great at choosing musicians.
He helped pick Nic's dad, eh? 'nough said.
great! thanks!
Very nice. Nic kicked it. He is getting so strong.
Nice to see Nic playing in Uncle Mike's band
Go ahead Nick, GET YOURS!!!!
👍🥁👍
Totally gotta see these guys if they come to the states.
That is unlikely... he has not toured in the states in decades.

Wow! The drummer is wonderful, I wonder where Mike found! Go Nic!
He’s Phil Collins son

Who's singing? Not Alan, is it?
@@michelelaraia7358 it’s Paul Carrack
At the last Genesis concert... Phil: This is it. We now have to go out and get real jobs.
Mike: Hold my beer.
Gary has a fantastic voice
Which Gary?
Is it Nick Collins on the drums? I read or heard he was going to tour with them

Where is Paul Carrack ? is he still a member of Mike & The Mechanics ?
Paul left the Mechanics in 2004. Andrew Roachford & Tim Howar share vocal duties in the current Mechanics line-up.
I wonder why Mike didn't want to use the whammy bar for that iconic solo?
Yes, I was thinking the same thing! That solo is really one of the more unique picking an whammy bar techniques on the recording, was really hoping to hear it in all its live, raw glory on this!
Yeah fr Mike didn’t take that solo to the original high note he mellowed it a bit tbf
Sorry , i'm missing the sound of the voices of the paul's 😢
Particular keyboard sound.
Is Paul Carrack in that lineup? BTW, your device has Great sound pickup!👍
Nah, Paul left the Mechanics in 2004. Andrew Roachford & Tim Howar share vocal duties in the current line-up.
Would be awesome if Paul was on the tour. Not the same without him.
He's touring with Clapton these days.
Paul Carack is much better on vocals and keys.
It is a matter of taste.
Carrack
Move on

Anto on Bass?

Thanks for the link, I needed that. Much better version.
Nic rides the china like his dad!
The singer seems to be slow
Great song! Great group! Horrible sound! (Next time, find a way to patch into the mixing board for the concert.)
Can't listen to this without Paul Carrack. This dude sings too fast and it just sounds of out sync. Yuck
MIKE ALONE......... The mechanics. "" "NOTHING""
