Peace and blessings to all, I have decided to follow the way of the righteous.
Would recommend Ihsan Alexander's channel
Welcome to the Umah, may THE ALMIGHTY keep you steadfast. Ameen
As-Salamu ‘alaykum.
Very happy for you. I envy the opportunity between your hands. Hasten along the path to God with knowledge; seek knowledge and have patience with all that you learn. Cultivate good habits until your character, values, manners, conduct and preoccupations resemble and align with the Prophetic higher standard.
Mashaa Allah Welcome
Welcome. Tests will come but be patient and always come back if you slip. Allah loves his servants to always turn back.
Thank you, Shaykh❤️🩹
Everything you are saying is True🥲 May Allah Continue to Increase His Blessings Upon You🙌💙
Thank you for making your lectures public. It makes us feel like we are in class and learning properly as well. I don't usually comment on social media, but I wanted to let you know that this material is very beneficial and I am looking forward to watch the rest of the lectures, having followed the previous ones as well. Peace and blessing to all the CMC community!
These lectures are the best Islamic content available on the web currently. Allah bless Shaykh Abdal Hakim and his team.
This is a banquet for my heart and mind. Such an erudite teacher with a splendid eloquence enlightening us with his knowledge and wisdom.
This is such a monumental video, that I think EVERY muslim needs to listen to it in order to understand the beautiful complexity of our religion. So many of the lay today think Islam is a black and white religion, when traditionally it was never the case.
Alhamdulillah this ni'mah allows Islam to flourish in ALL times and places, rather than for a particular time period and people.
Exactly I am amazed after listening to true traditional scholars
Some of the books mentioned by Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad in this presentation:
A Culture of Ambiguity: An Alternative History of Islam by Thomas Bauer (ENGLISH TRANSLATION: Columbia University Press, DUE JUNE 2021)
Medieval Damascus: Plurality and Diversity in an Arabic Library: The Ashrafiyah Library Catalogue by Konrad Hirschler (Edinburgh University Press, paperback 2017)
Shari`a: Theory, Practice, Transformations by Wael B. Hallaq (Cambridge University Press, 2009)
The Impossible State: Islam, Politics, and Modernity’s Moral Predicament by Wael B. Hallaq (Columbia University Press, 2013)
Malik and Medina: Islamic Legal Reasoning in the Formative Period by Umar F. Abd-Allah (Brill, 2013)
@@hindrifai3549 Thank you!
Really appreciate this thank you
I don't understand how he's read the culture of Ambiguity if it hasn't been released yet. He mentioned 2011 when the book is being released in June 2021
@@12raffaj12 He read the German original which was published a few years ago.
@@abdul-aleemsomers3869 that makes a lot more sense. Thank you
Thank you, shaikh, for this great lecture from Northern Caucasus, Russia.
The first 5 min changed my whole perspective on leadership
Muslims need to hear this lecture today more than ever.
Brilliant! What an amazing talk! Deep gratitude to respected Sheikh Abdal Hakim. May you be ever-blessed. Ameen.
Excellent exposition of classical Islam and a complete rebuttal of the the modernist extremist Wahabi movement which is a cancer in our midst. Abdul Hakim Murad is a gem, may God preserve him. Amen
I wouldn't blame all Wahabi as extremist
@@tazboy1934 it’s the Wahabi clergy that need to be reckoned with, the commoners just blindly follow them whilst accusing everyone else of ‘blind following’. The damnation in this group is their mindset.
@@sammiyusuf9750 Obviously, you missed the gist of this lecture. May God grant you understanding of what you hear.
@@aslansamad1981 May God open your understanding to recognise those whom through their superficial mindset damage the very fabric of this tradition. I have academic qualifications in most of the subjects of this tradition.
Mashallah.....the power of a soft voice. he could be speaking jibberish and I would still listen
A simple perusal of Mukhtasar Qudoori (A Primer on Hanafi fiqh) lays bare the respectful divergence that existed amongst the scholars.
I appreciate how Shaykh has drawn on how the trends of modernity perpetuated the need to articulate a homogeneous version of the truth, whilst also highlighting the dangers of that course
I heard Imam Ahmad was presented with a Book of differences another scholar had authored. The imam advised him to rename it as The book of scope.
@@a_fortiori_ MashaaAllah, that's wisdom! Cultivate tolerance, peace and respect, me thinks.
Thank you Sheikh for pointing to an important issue in the world which is Pakistan, military has established a state which has hijacked Islam. please continue this awareness
Alhamdullah, every time I listen to you I love you more and pray that you shall be in paradise with prophet peace upon him
May allah reward you for your work
There is a big side of leadership that is associated to Imam Malik (upon him the Mercy of Allah). It is about his defense of the pure Sunnah with clarity and diligence.
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Praise be to God, The Cherisher and Sustainer of the Worlds; Most Gracious, Most Merciful; Master of the Day of Judgment. Thee do we worship; And Thy aid do we seek.
Really appreciate reminder about Islam and leadership.
Mashaa Allah the video is so nice, may the Almighty help us all.
CMC Thank You from the bottom of my heart. Best Channel in TH-cam and Sheikh Abdal Hakim Murad is absolutely marvellous
He is so eloquent ❤️
This is an amazing lecture. Every muslim should listen or read this.
Islam is a tradition of ambiguity and multiplicity.
This was beyond excellent, just magnificent!!!
Masha Allah, I found a precious treasure. Alhamdulillah
❤ WONDERFUL NARRATIVES!!!! ❤...
Reminds Me.. OF A POET..WHO SAID THAT.."A CHILD COMES THROUGH ME!!"...

Ramadan moubarek.
I need to hear more about abdul hakim murad's view on sharia. This is the first time I have heard the viewpoint that it's not meant to be state law

I loved the channel. Very impressive 👌
It is important that Islamic law is viewed as a socially affirming middle way.
Islamic fundamentalism it naturally tolerant and diverse in being for all psychological types and in all material cultures.
Preserving the information of them is not always of interest to liberals and conservatives, but the fundamentalists would want ease in the reference to examples that are best to help each individual and their situations.
What a calmness ❤️
True- SO TRUE ♻️🎶🎵🌄🌷😺
Paying attention to him in this video is like venerating an icon
Thomas Paine, John Locke ...etc, we have been here before with our experience of the State stepping beyond its remit, folks really ought to start paying more attention to civics and pre-ordinal hierarchy.
Where are the multi-million views???
I recommend you to search more about Ali Ebn abi talib and other ahl albait members to see the entire picture of islam history.
Please can the list of books discussed be posted, as they don't seem to appear in the comments section.
Jazakallah
The culture of Ambiguity by Thomas Bouyer?
44 minutes in and nothing about Imam Malik yet. Same with video about Imam Shamil.
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته..please correct the echo as it hide words ..we lose attention
You better get your dictionary ready for this lecture
Unfortunately too difficult for me to follow easily. No fault of yours I might add. I will need to revisit this lecture.
Does anyone have a list of the books referenced in this lecture?
A list has been added in the comments.
Curious about the way Uthaymeen says we should stay with only one lecture of the Qur'an. The idea is thirlling...
He is the blonde islamic version of Christian Bale :P (and that's not the only thing I got from the lecture)
Salam, may someone please give the list of books mention in this lecture? JazakumAllahu khair
islamic jurists were once ruling equitably ? Allah's laws would be the most equitable. the possible problem is the removal of this flexible equitable nature through long slow subversion and now not having a khalifa

Asalamu Alaikum Shiekh Maaf asking Forgiveness for the Mistake will Shiekh forgive me please Allah Hafiz
You are very learned but in the first 20 minutes you have said nothing about imam Malik. S I t possible to shorten the introduction and cme to the topic.

"Sum in mondo, non in mondo", perhaps ? Well he does use those typically Popish or Jesuit terms of art like salvation and salvage which belong in the courts of their Ecclesia and Admirality Saga- the body and the spirit subject to the presumption of rapture or their is no game. I Get it: AHM is indeed full of traits of brilliant character, he has that quintessential English charm found in Places like Cambridge, rather like my Headmaster at school, dear to my heart for sure. But who is really listening to what is being said rather than how it is being said ? A core point i took from this was the perceived need to consolidate, codify and quickly resolve a juristic problem by reference to a body of written law or treatises, rather than what is intuitively known in the heart - here is the problem - that then becomes subject to change and the argument of outdated ideas and novation to suit the modern agenda of the day. He was correct in that the Roman Civil or Even English Law had reached a zenith with its Canons only to be inverted and destroyed by reformers (see the law Commisioners reports and Hansard) - it was this logic that brought us the modern State which now sees the Family Unit as an expression of the Idealism or ideology of Corporatists -politicians, Bankers, Judges rather than the State being a necessary means through which the Family is secured and thus society has a valid stability. You can have your Children deemed wards of the State and stolen from you because you might be a harm to them one day, yet State harm actually committed by its agents on children and Families as a whole is considered a necessary act to preserve the means (slavery/tyranny) and not the End ( free from). You will follow them like the lizard scatters down its hole .
Boringgggg
Was muhammed a good leader for waiting until dawn to attack infidels??!! (Sahih al-bukhari 2943) 😲
If the muslims were at war with the infidels then i dont see whats wrong. In war people die and get killed.
The idolaters spared no expenses to try to destroy the messenger of God saws and his followers. Followers who were persecuted, tortured, killed, humiliated, starved, oppressed and emprisonned for abandoning the idols, for believing only in God and for following the truth and righteous exemple of His messenger. So why should the Messenger (saws) and his followers not have used all possible strategies to defeat such an evil and diabolical enemy? An enemy that tried to shut off the Light of God? You prefer polytheism to Truth? You prefer wickedness over righteousness? Muhammad, the beloved of God (saws) was the best servant of God, the best leader of men, the best friend of nature and the animals, the best human examplar, the best and most accomplished human being. The best of Creation (saws). He did well to attack the tyrannical idol worshippers at dawn. That was the smartest and wisest course of action. It made for a quick victory and it spared lives.
@@karimb972 can u explained it to me why dawn?
@@karimb972 Exactly. These people are acting like the polytheists at the time of Muhammad peace be upon him, were pacifists and didnt kill people ruthlessly.
War is a deceit, in order to destroy your enemy you employ all types of tactics. Dawn raids just fits the bill.
