They played but also cheated abusing the reff and playing tha man instead of the ball , controlled the reff for 80 minutes of, Ireland will never ever be the world champions 😢😢😢😢
This has to be the best "behind the scenes" rugby channel on YT! Great to see the mutual respect between the Irish and South Africa fans - that's what a true rivalry is about 👍
As an Englishman just sat here shaking my head and smiling. Doesn't that just sum up all that is brilliant about our fantastic game. You have the intensity of Rassie and the focus of Farrell. You see two teams knocking shit out of each other and a closer game with a spectacular finish you just might never see. For what? nothing on the line but reputation and then the fans, oh those fans...brilliant. Any chance Twickenham can adopt a bit more of that and a lot less stiff upper shite!!! Bring back the rugby lads.
As a Saffa, I have many great memories of my days in London watching games at Twickers but the pre/post-match party is at a pub and not a braai in an open field. We did have a braai at 3am in the snow in Putney after the 2007 RWC win.
So amazing to see the interactions at the end, real fans showing the spirit of the game and none of the nastiness you see on Twitter. Excellent stuff and well done to the Irish for the result
As a South African, it makes me happy to see Irish people enjoying the win. For me, the Boks showed greatness in the second half to get back in the game, and Ireland showed that they are a force in world rugby. The game was 50/50, to the very end. No team was in total control, I think Rugby was the true winner.
Love these vids. The people and fans are the lifeblood of the game and every time you interview ppl around the grounds it shows how healthy rugby is. And yup, I'm now saving for a rugby tour of SA!
Tim, you made a great series even better with your coverage! Well done. Best rugby channel. If it wasn’t for Chasing the Sun your coverage and behind the scenes would’ve been the best rugby media production out there in the history of rugby (ok, maybe behind the ‘97 Lions tour doc series as well). Not bad for a one man show. Look forward to your return for the NZ matches. Cape Town will blow your mind. You should do a NZ tour some time in the future. Cheers 🍻 safe travels back home.
Brilliant post, as usual. Fantastic the way rugby fans interact, true sportsmen the lot of them. I am 65 years old and Irish, it is great to be competing with the best, long may it last. Look forward to welcoming the Southern hemisphere teams to Dublin in the autumn, their fans are in for a treat.
Thanks for SA Coverage Tim. From the Craven Week video till this one. Excellent stuff and great advert for SA Tourism and hospitality in a way. Yes we have the best product in world rugby from outside to inside the stadium. And for the Libbok vs Sacha Mngomezulu ratings, at this point in time,Sacha is winning at 10 just based on kicking accuracy. We must consider though Manie was thrusted in due to lack of experienced campaigners going into and AT A WORLD CUP!So it was sink or swim for him but for Sacha it was less pressured for him to adapt. We will see with the next games ahead.
Glad to see you enjoying my hometown Tim. Well done to Ireland what a response that was epic. We showed our grit too in the second half where many would have folded. RUGBY the real winner! Respect!
Well done Tim. Kings park was my home of rugby for 20 years. The outer fields before and after matches are awesome. Your willingness to engage with elated and downhearted fans is unique and appreciated. Keep up the great work. You are knocking on 100k subscriber door. May your channel grow exponentially.
No wonder you were feeling a little rough in your video on Sunday morning... Thank you for the behind-the-scenes views of both matches and sharing how we do it. Safe travels home - take some SA sun back with you
Great video .. I love the way you took little snippets of the live action from the game in the stadium and incorporated it into the video from outside with the fans etc. This is a great way to almost let us attend tge match day vicariously with you.. Great work Tim .. best match day video you have made yet
I wa in the stadium and when they did the drop i simply couldnt believe it. Great kick. Reminded me of all those clips of basketball games ending with the ball in the air and the hooter going off. Was a fantastic game, a great day and fantastic memories. Well done you Ireland!
Lekker to bump into you at King's Park Tim. See you next month at Ellis Park and thanks again for such a great channel and some heart warming content on all that is good with SA rugga 🇿🇦
Hi Tim, thank you for a great video. Just to get started i am a true Irish man and Munster man i am so proud of my Irish team and oh my god Andy Farrell is a true Irish man in my eyes, what he has done for this team is out of the world. what a great test the no1 and no2 in the world battling it out. To me i am happy that Ireland are still 2nd in the world, South Africa 🇿🇦 with all respect are the world champions so to me there are No1 one day i mean one day we will truly no1 when we left the Cup.
You made me laugh a hard 😂😂. It’s not a chariot it’s a rickshaw. Thanks for all the coverage. Sometimes I think we don’t appreciate our country enough nice to be reminded by seeing it through someone else’s eyes.
Thanks Tim for absolutely quality content and doing wonders for showing the world just how good it is to tour SA. Rugby won and the spirit amongst the competing fans was a joy to behold. So far removed from the chaos we saw unfolding at the Euros. We loved having you here and see you for a Braai at mine for the NZ series.
What a great day out! This series has been fantastic, and the Irish have been great tourists here. Just wish there was a third test match to settle it. Loving this developing rivalry though. Thanks for your excellent coverage - from the Craven Week stuff in Krugersdorp to the Shark Tank and everything in between, it's been a lot of fun. Safe travels back home.
Like "Chasing the Sun", I am sure you have enough footage and experiences to make "Chasing the Egg" from an outside perspective. Great to watch and I applaud you for enduring being sober amongst all those having a lekker party! I hope off camera you had a blast as well. Have a safe trip back and come back soon
Miss my home Durban so much😢and most of all watching rugby with my Dad and older sister at Kings Park they are both sadly gone now, best memories ever 😢❤🎉
As you experienced we love our rugby. Love a good game and enjoy a bit of good natured verbal sparring with opposing fans. After the game we party together and acknowledge the victors and moan about our teams errors (occasionally also moan about the ref 😉)
Great vid Tim. One of your best. You had a lotta fun hey, good to see man. And a real wow to Ireland, what a game. The spoils to the best team of the day.
Great video mate and was good to catch up with you at Kingston briefly (although it did not make the cut for the video haha!). Look forward to having you back in SA for the AB tests! Safe travels. Cheers
Less than a minute into the video and I'm already feeling super nostalgic for my beloved kings park. Not been there for years but i grew up on watching the sharks at home
Well done Ireland. As a Boks supporter, my stomach began to turn after Pollard made the 6th successful goal, and the score was 18-16 in favour of the Boks. I hated this strategy that day. In a way I'm glad Ireland won, because I didn't want the Boks to win like that. Basically trying to force penalties to go for goal, even when they could clearly go for touch. That last drop goal was 🔥 I hated it so much 😭 Like the beautiful catch on the boundary in the T20 India vs SA. I loved and hated that catch at the same time 😅
I was so disappointed when SA decided to go for penalty instead of touch when Ireland had 14 players on the field. I seemed like we were scared to mail them over the try line...
Hey Tim. I love your stuff. Glad you enjoyed SA. By the way, I designed and produced that Tshirt in your video that said “when I think of Ireland….I almost get a semi”! It was a mate of mine that was caught on your camera!! 😊
Hope you enjoyed the stay and the people. I love my bok team, but Ireland were the better team. Even if that drop goal was off target, Ireland were the better team on the day. Congrats to Ireland.
This is how to embrace winning and losing. This is rugby. As a rugby fan, you can’t be disappointed. SA bullied in first. Ireland playing better rugby in 1st half. SA playing all the rugby in second half, and then made two bad decisions to close out the game, not mauling a lineout with 59sec to go. And feinberg catching ball into touch instead of leaving it. Great test match. Ireland deserved the win, saffa fan🙏
Excellent coverage and commentary, Thank you. Just a thought...watching the Under 20's , there are some proper big props in that squad. With what you've been saying, rightly, about England's lack of depth in that area, I'm sure Borthwick is going to be bringing them into the senior training scene soon. What do you think?
Wow, just wow. That looked amazing. You lucky lucky.... I have to say, those South African fans were magnificent, they all seemed like great crack. South African, lived in NZ and Aus. SA defo best place for live rugby games 🎉 No partying in NZ/Aus outside stadiums - just pubs in the local area
I don't think they play rugby in the land of Oz
Your money is so strong, if you come over for a game or two you can live like a king.
I'd also recommend a home Munster game in Europe if you can manage it.
