    I just bought a 2023 pan am special. I also just got a 23 road glide CVO. I honestly enjoy riding to pan America more. It’s the one I can just jump on and go with. Not worried about bugs and rain. Love it. And way faster than the 121.

      Congrats on two cool bikes! I can see how the Pan Am would be your do it all around town kinda bike!

      @@DoItYourselfDoItRight Its more than around town. Ive had 12 harleys , choppers cvos fat boys etc etc. The pan america handles better then all of them. Plus its not just a ride around town.

    I bought my Pan America (base model) in May 2021, I'm not an Adventure Bike rider either but I did trade in my 2009 Buell Ulysses on it. I was a cruiser rider from 1988-2014 until a back injury and the subsequent surgery meant I needed to sit upright with my legs underneath me with a decent suspension. I have 10,000 miles on the Pan Am now and did a 4000 mile ride around Lake Superior in Aug this summer, I had a few issues when I first got it but my dealer took good care of me and I haven't had a problem since they did the starter clutch upgrade. I don't take it off road, a 500+ bike in the dirt is not my idea of a good time. I bought it to continue my long distance touring now that I can't ride my 2003 HD Night Train (although I still have it, bought it new). Ride safe out there.

      4000 miles! Now that's a ride around a lake!

      @@DoItYourselfDoItRight Well, the Lake Superior Circle Tour is only 1300 miles but I live on the East Coast of Canada so it was 2700 miles round trip for me just to get there and back.

    I have a 2022 Pan America Special, green army colour. I think it is pretty good, but there are a few issues. The right had radiator hose is too close to the exhaust header, mine started to get a small burn patch, so I shortened the hose to give it more gap, and I wrapped the header. Battery seems too small in power, I had a few starting issues, and it drops charge too quickly when not ridden for a day. Good things, the setting options are fantastic, the power is fantastic, the handling is fantastic. I have taken mine off road and it is capable, if a bit heavy for long off road sessions.

      I think that you're the third or fourth person to have issues with the radiator hose and the battery. I wish that they had a more "normal" look upfront but I understand what Harley is trying to do.

    I have the exact same bike and have put 8000 miles on it so far. I agree with you about the rear brake can be better while front brake is excellent. I’m only 5’7” with 29” inseam and the bike is not too tall for me as i did get the “low seat” option and set the seat on low setting (has a high and low setting). Like you, i feel this bike is really quick and agile and is a great tourer. I should also say, that i have not had any electrical or mechanical issues with bike so far as well.

      I can definitely see how the low seat option would help out greatly. Do you have bags attached? If so how does the bike handle with them loaded down?

    • @nbrider7235
      @nbrider7235 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DoItYourselfDoItRight I have bags and top box on my Pan America, I haven't noticed any difference in handling when the bags are loaded for touring.

    So far, the Pan America reviews I have seen, fuel pump problems, radiator hose against exhaust pipe, battery charging issues ( battery wont charge at idle), and codes flooding the display.

      Funny you mention the codes.... The first time I rode it, it threw some codes.
