I love how the app actually references Watch It Played. That makes this the OFFICIAL tutorial for the game. That's awesome for this channel. Nicely done, Rodney.

I really love how Rodney breaks it all down step by step for the viewers. I personally don't even own most of the games we get tutorials on but he does such a darn good job explaining everything in depth and is so cool I just binge watch all the reviews! That Monopoly review was a life saver btw.

This looks like a great multi player family game, with awesome mechanics. Since we don’t get a lot of multi player nights, I am not sure it makes our list. But I like the game, and of course the video is awesome. The replay is a very handy tool, in case you are making a tutorial video and had o talk over the instructions. They thought of EVERYTHING!!
Hi. Great tutorial, really helped us get started. 2 questions if I may:
if you enter a space with 2 rubble stacks, can you turn over (and if possible rescue) both in one turn, or just one per turn?
Can you use the helicopter (before or after) as well as your roll move, or is it either helicopter or dice? Thanks.
1) You can clear as much ruble as you have cards to match and remove them.
2) The helicopter can be used at anytime during your turn in addition to any other movement you do.

Just picked up the last one at target! Quick question if I roll a 4, get to a rubble pile in two moves and have the tools to clear the pile can I do so and still move my other 2 moves that I have? Thank you the video helped me a lot!

When a threat moves does the scientist and rubble card in that location move with it?

Hey Rodney, after rolling the dice, are you required to move EVERY space for the number rolled or can you stop yourself short to save a scientist? For example, if I roll a 4, but I can get to a scientist in 3 can I stop at 3?
Hey Daniel, you sure can! The way movement is described, I say that you can move "up to" the value rolled, so you can stop anytime before that if you like! Good luck saving the world :)
There are times you want to move 0, even. Like: You’re in a space with rubble. You roll, and draw the tools that are needed for that rubble. Because movement happens before pretty much everything, you would need to “move” 0 to use your new tools on the rubble and rescue the scientist underneath.

Hello! I love this game so far, but have a question: If you have 1 flare and use it to enter a space that has a monster on it... Then, on your next turn, if you don't have a flare anymore, can you still move out of that space? Or do you have to wait to get a flare again to leave the space/wait for the monster to leave the space?
You only need to spend the flare when "entering" the space, so you can stay there as long as you want, or even leave it. Hope that helps!

For those of you who may be struggling, as I was......"rebel piles" is translated as "RUBBLE piles," which makes much more sense, lol.

Do you need the app to play? Or is it something more of a "good to have" option? I ask because like any modern app it comes a time when the developer just wont update it and will get remove from the app store in any time. Just hoping this can be future proof

Hey Frank, if you don't have the tools required to deal with rubble on your current space, you can still move to other spaces to reveal new tokens, and hopefully your tools can be useful there, or on other spaces in the future. Hope that helps!
Hey Rodney can you clarify something for me? Is the timer still counting down during the breaking news announcement? If so- and all the players have to stop what they’re doing to follow along- doesn’t that mean we’re losing time? 🙃
Good question Robbie. I don't remember, but I suppose this could be tested by downloading the app and checking, even if you don't have the game.

Can you drop off a scientist at the plaza and keep going while someone else brings another scientist to destroy a alien or do you have to wait for the other player?
You don't have to wait there, but you can't keep going "on the same turn". You drop a scientist off, by ending your turn on Plaza, but on your next turn, you can leave. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the question! Yes, you can drop off scientists to the Plaza before a Threat comes out and when that Threat comes out, it is automatically defeated if you have the needed scientists at the plaza already.

Out of curiosity (since the game doesn't have much of a presence online just yet) what is different in the "experienced" difficulty?
Frequency of the monsters moving is one of the bigger changes!
can i use a helicopter to go into a threat space to bypass a flare
Sorry for the delayed reply - took me awhile to track down the answer! Even when using a helicopter to move into a location with a threat, you’ll still need to discard a flare if you end your turn in that location. Remember that you don’t need to discard a flare if that location is special to your specific character. Hope that helps!

That's some pretty happening news channel theme music. Takes me back to my childhood in the 1970s. Also, I love that the Good Dog character is no less adept at using flares and first aid kits and whatnot than the BBQ Dad. I'm not sure whether that's a comment on the Dog's skills, or the Dad's. No matter; if GD manages to get a selfie wearing that hard hat up on instagram, then the destruction of the city will have been worth it.

When two scientists are used to defeat a monster where do they go? Back to the plaza, or discarded?

I have watched this video three times and I'm still confused about something. When you rescue a scientist why move it to your character's tile...why don't you just take it too the plaza so it will be ready when needed. If you are in a location when a threat arrives, you have to put all your rescued scientists there and then leave them. Which makes me wonder why you wouldn't put them into the plaza as soon as you get them?
Hey Margaret, this is a tough one to answer, because the answer is mostly just "because that's the way it works". You not only have to find the scientist, but you then have to escort them safely to the plaza. They won't just run there on their own. Hope that helps!
If you have the last scientist required to finish the game, everyone naturally wants you to just skip their turns because there isn't anything else for the other players to do. So we just went through the motions playing everyone's turns and picking up tools we know we can't use. Are we doing it wrong, or should we just end the game?
They'd need to go through the motions (for the sake of the timer still running), but yes, in that case, I believe you're right, you'd be wanting them to go quick, so you can get that last scientist delivered and win.
