    That’s crazy! When I was 16 I got pulled over for doing 107 and the cop casually said “over 100 is a reckless driving charge, but I’m just writing a speeding ticket for the max fine” then three weeks later he pulled me over in the exact same spot doing 82 and walked up to my window and said “you’re getting better, but still too fast, so here’s another ticket”

      @PlumberWRX how so? The state has its up and downs but speeding doesn't require us to get arrested or appear in court usually unless we try to fight it unlike other states like Virginia I'm pretty sure. I'd rather a ticket and points that u can take courses to get removed then get arrested/vehicle impounded or spend the day in jail like my buddy did in another state.

      @garrettefoster2486 ปีที่แล้ว +84

      @@TurbsUKI love that people are finally realizing that the speed limits that we have are outdated. Statistics show that there are fewer accidents when people are driving faster because they are more aware and attentive while driving at slower speeds like 35-45 mph they tend to be relaxed and unaware causing more accidents. I remember my physics teacher breaking it down on why speed limits should be increased. Basically, the cars today can stop safely in a much shorter distance and at higher speeds than cars back when the limits were set. Better brakes and more downward force cause this. The only problem is that you can’t control whether or not older cars are on the road.

      @kevinsears7300 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      That was an exaggeration... because the books full of ton of laws... BUT 91mph is reaching a point where you wont be getting your keys back anytime soon...
      80 is bad... but 90? If the cop gives a ticket to someone that reckless, knowing shes flooring it trying to get to work on time, and lets her go, theres a 98% chance shell push 100 to try to make up for lost time. If she hits anyobe, the cop is responsible.
      Its like the jacob blake shoiting... the officer had no idea he was after a knife, but he did hear the 911 caller who had been raped by blake, and had a restraint order after the previous rape abd subsequent jailtime of blake, cry out "hes got my kids hes got my keys"
      Officer stopped what he thought was a kidnapping and bodycam/microphone evidence proved the situation.
      Point is, all cops have a responsibility to protect the community. If they turn their jead the other way, there are serious consequences, so they HAVE to respond and react accordingly. Or theyre partialky responsible for what happens.
      They pull over a drunk, and that person drives into someones living room 10 minutes later, that cops going to be in deep legal trouble for not arresting the drunk driver.

      @@spoork9443I would hardly call a woman speeding because she’s late for work a fucking felon. I have sped because I was late for work; most of us have, even if y’all won’t admit it. You’re seriously telling me you advocate this woman getting a fucking felony conviction because she sped? I get it, speeding is dangerous af and it’s absolutely unacceptable, especially at her speed. I don’t care what color or gender you are, a felony conviction can ruin your life. She will most certainly lose her job and therefore her income, her license, and have basically zero ability to get a high paying job. In other words, life as she knows it is now over…forever. I must assume that you expect and would advocate for the exact same punishment if you were caught criminally speeding. If not, you are a hypocrite. If you would advocate for it, you’re a moron who has no idea how badly our courts and incarceration systems need to have their loads lightened. We aren’t going to do that by creating felony charges and convictions for criminally speeding on a first offense. Repeat offenders? Alright let’s talk. But your comment just shows how much knowledge you need to gain before making cogent, logical arguments for your positions about legal issues. Anyone saying it’s acceptable that she gets a felony conviction for speeding like this is so uninformed about what we need in our justice system, it truly scares me.
      Oh and by the way, this is how we end up with previously successful people in the streets. They make one simple mistake and get railroaded by the justice system until they are bled dry and have nothing left to even try to start a comeback. Talk to some homeless people for once and get their stories. You’ll be very surprised at who many of these people were before their homelessness and how they got there. Anything from a divorce to a felony speeding ticket like this video ruined their current and future financial lives, most of which were already fairly meager to begin with. This is how the poor get poorer and the decently off become poor. Learn, grow, and stop being so punitive towards people who simply do not deserve it in the slightest. She’s ostensibly a productive member of society who has now had extreme road blocks in placed in front of her goals. So many that she will likely never recover unless she’s already rich, which I doubt. Be compassionate and use your brain to think about the long-term consequences of your desired outcomes for other people. When you do, you will surely come to a different desire than for her to be a goddamn felon.

      She was using the left lane for cruising (no, it’s not the “fast lane,” it’s the PASSING lane. You use it to pass someone, then you move back right.)
      While I agree the cop is kind of a young blood with no excitement or purpose in his life, I do agree that she WAS breaking several traffic codes here. It IS law to only pass on left and to only use the left TO pass, even if not enforced. It’s part of a group of moving violations that effectively constitute impeding traffic flow. JUST speeding is itself not dangerous on a highway - it’s when you COMBINE high speed with other errors that precipitate an accident.
      Always stay right unless you’re passing or intending to get ready to turn left within another mile or so. Using the left lane is waaay more dangerous than people give it credit for. Just wait till a pileup accident precipitates from a stack of cars all moving the same speed, and you’ll see. One guy stops noticing the guy in his blind spot, changes lanes and pits himself into a third car across 2nd car’s bumper. 3rd car careens into the left shoulder and over-corrects to the right, smacking the driver behind the one who just began the sequence of collisions with his lane change. I’ve seen these sorts of accidents happen - totally preventable if people didn’t neglect a simple handful of often overlooked driving errors.
