I dont care to get the first pick, would be nice, but if we dont get it it's not a loss, personally, I want Lindstrom! size, strength and scoring, just what we need
And intelligence.
i want dickinson
Him or catton
Imagine a Habs 1st PP with Suzuki, Caufield, Slaf, Celebrini and Hutson…. 😮
OMG
Trade Caulfield + + for Brady Tkuchuck.
Would be an insane powerplay but I don't see us winning any of the lotteries. We're staying at 5th or dropping down to 6th. Imagine what we'd have to give up in a trade to get that 1st overall pick 😳
Omg

If the Habs draft 5th, and Cayden Lindstrom is available, I'd bet Hughes takes him. After that, it's going to be another Hughes surprise.
100% he will
2017 Colorado had the worst record but slipped to 4th overall after the draft lottery, yet they won the lottery because they picked with that 4th pick Cale Makar!
I’m a Montreal Canadian fan and second a Canuck fan I hope they win their fist cup
Van Canuck lets go
If Habs pick 1st = Celebrini
If Habs pick 2nd = Demidov/Lindstrom
Won’t bother with 3rd
If Habs pick 5th= if both Demidov & Lindstrom are gone I’d go for Parehk (& then trade Reinbacher)
6th= I don’t think they would take Catton unfortunately so either Eiserman or Iginla & I’d lean Iginla
People are going to lose their minds when the Hawks get the #1 pick again.
You don't think it's going to be San Jose?
What sucks about this system is that no one watches the "lotteries." So we have to take Bettman's word for it, and we know what his word is worth.
Last year they were televised weren’t they? I remember watching it.
@@mikeking9696was it live ? Because they can easily reset the lottery. …
Love your videos lego❤
Very good video. Nice explanation. I just wish we have a top 5 pick.
It will be perfect if we can get Celebrini but I will still be happy to get Cayden Lindstrom
We won't and we won't Iggy is the one.
Sharks fan here. We desperately need that #1 pick, and we’ve drafted #1 a grand total of ZERO times.
Considering that Celebrini has strong Bay Area connections and that his family lives < 1 hr from the Shark Tank, it would be perfect.
The days of Jumbo Joe, Marleau and Pavelski anchoring a Sharks team that would always contend for the Stanley Cup but never hoist it seem like a distant memory.
Yeah if Mtl doesn't get 1 I hope you guys do. SJ needs a prospect to pull them out of the dumps.
This is how you know it won’t happen
@@cmhabs9933 aw man, don’t say that!!! (ps/ my gut tells me we pick #3 cuz we don’t get nice things).
@@damonmusha6504 I’m cheering for you if it’s not the habs
16 ot loses, if they had 1 or 2 more great players would be over 500 for sure. It's coming soon, maybe not next year but in 2 years Habs will be beasts. And I've watched since 1987, this is the most excited I've been about the team since 93 where I had a feeling they would have win, and they did. This Draft will have a lot of great players, years from not Hall of Famers, it's still early but I've seen footage of some of these players and a lot will be great, it's not that weak like some think like Yakupov year. Iggy will be a Habs.
What are the chances that we get cellebrini, demidov or lindstom?
They are the 3 I dream of somehow getting too!
@@PMB-hm7pc umb hello of course lol! What kind of question is that? I’m stating what I’m hoping for nothing more than
Considering Montreal's recent history of bundling 1st round picks, could they possibly trade the 2 1st round picks they have this year and the calagry/florida pick for next year to get 1st overall this year? For a rebuilding team like San Jose, that might be tempting enough to part ways with 1st overall.
Unless I missed it, you didn't explain why 4th place is not listed as a possibility. Did the list makers overlook this or is it actually impossible?
its impossible
Cole E
Habs fan here…. Cheering for the Jets…
I'm hoping Huges picks Berkly Cantton. However I wouldn't mind at all if he strayed outside of the top 10 a little and went with the legacy pick of Tij Iginla.
It will be the sharks this time with everybody's favourite the hawks in 2nd spot.
About messar?
The Team outside the playoffs with the most points should have the most chances, i would want the teams want to win, instead of wanting to loose.
That doesn't make sense. How do you want these bad teams to improve. The NHL is a business, how do you expect making money and keeping franchises alive if you kick them while being down? I get what you mean, and that's why being last is not a lock on first overall.
Habs all in for lindstrom or Iginla
Last year's draft was not live. Did Bedard really win?
The lottery was shown on tv. I watched it.
@@mikeking9696 But not live. Tape can be edited.
Colorado seems to have been very lucky to fall to 4
If MTL does not win the first 2 draft picks they should trade down to get Iginla.
Honestly, I'd take Iginla either way. If we win top two trade down to 5. If we get 5 or 6 keep and draft Iginla. Too risky to try and trade down as he is a top forward so teams that need forwards will take him (especially Calgary)
@@morneau69iginla is a top 20 pick not top 5
@@alphamale4182 he's top 15 and there are like 8 Dmen in the top 15..
Have we ever seen a team draft the second best player to trade right after. Let's say Canadiens draft levshinov and trade it to a team that needs a d ?
why are you not like the majority a 1 team only fan !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lets not forget if Ottawa wins the 1st overall and wins the second they automatically get 1st overall in the first round.
Trevor Connelly is the player CH should take... time will tell.
I've seen some draft boards showing him drop. Depending on where the winnipeg pick is could be a possibility. He is not going any higher than 12 or 13th though, I would think.
@@skipperbill84 I think there is a rumor about him... his talents are indeniable but his there something in is past or attitude that would give him a deprimental ranking... excuse my English is not my native language
Maybe with the wpg 1st round pick drafting him at 6 is a dumb move
Habs have too much D, if they Draft a D, I'm jumping of my second floor apartment. They will trade some obviously.
If Hugues gets Lindstrom .. would you guys trade Lindstrom AND Anderson for Zegras and their 2nd pick ? (Anaheim)
Is it not possible that the lottery is fixed? The NHL blue bloods wants terrible American teams to improve asap so they get the better players.??
There's no such word as "consolidatedly."
Go with pedigree. Iginla.
imagine habs get celebrini
Montreal actually sits at 7,5% for Macklin, but I'm hoping for Iginla, the kid's a Natural Born Winner!
Dude are you serious rn ??? I would rather get Celebrini, Lindstrom, Demidov and then it would be though to choose in between Tij and Cole!!!!silly
Actually it's 8.5%, Arizona is 7.5%.
@@morneau69 Correct, only SJ has a better precentage than their odds, everyone else has the same percentage as their odds for picking one.
@@skipperbill84 ahhh, I don't think that's right. Pretty sure it's like 25.5%, 13.5%, 11.5%, 9.5%, 8.5%, 7.5%........
@@morneau69 you mean salt lake city
A team that picks 1st overall shouldn’t be able to pick 1st overall again until all other nhl team got to pick 1st overall first, also the higher chance of winning the lottery should go from the 17th to the 32nd place , reversed of what it is today , this would discouraged any sort of thanking and create an amazing battle at the end of the season
Dont give Chicago the 1st
Hughes is going to mess up the draft by selecting a defenseman.
