Immediate KO that knocks the main tank outta the game for twenty seconds. (Sets em to 1 hp and makes it so they don't regen so you KNOW they're fucked up.) After that they get up and can be healed as per normal.
I love that the whole raid series is just the plot line to a WWE fight. You have the young upstart, the established wrestlers, a meddeling chairman and a returning legend. I we don't do a tag team match at some point I will be surprised!
This raid is trying to remind us that a feline, bee and a bomber are still considered weak mobs in Final Fantasy standards. That this Light-Heavyweight encounter is only the beginning. I can't wait to see what badass feral souls we'll get to see in later tiers.

My favorite part of this raid i floor is that it has so many details linked to WWE. Like, after the 2nd phase, whenever he start to use the Signature lariat combo. Instead of charging, stopping and then charging back. Once he does the first charge of Lariat, he even uses the ropes from the ring to push himself back and instantly execute 2nd charge like the WWE moves. Also, the referee part is priceless.

This fight is a TRIP as healer. After he juices up you have to be on top of it as healer cause the raid wide can just kill everyone. And may the twelve help you if you're low on health after the fact
A bunch of the stack marker attacks in DT are way, way more dangerous than they ever used to be! Made me panic a bit when I first got started, but now I appreciate the extra challenge. Makes healing feel worthwhile.
Most deaths are from people screwing up the double lariats. The raidwides are super easy to heal through. The only meaningful damage comes from avoidable AOEs.
This is just Grynewaht from Stormblood. "BOOM!" "DIE DIE DIE!" but without the "WE ALL GO TOGETHER!" and "...like all my namedays have come at once." And I love it.

@Cherryblossoms110 i don't think so. I was making viper work fine, just made sure i held on to two rattler's unless it was about burst time. The melee jobs all have enough gap closers, disengagement, and/or high potency ranged skills that they can make being temporarily out of melee work. We were spoiled last expac with hit boxes larger than Texas. The smaller boxes means more skill needed to maintain really high melee uptime.

It's the Arcadion motif. It's also in the lobby theme and in Black Cat's theme. Just like Alexander and Pandaemonium before it this raid tier has its own new motif. As an arranger and composer myself I can assure it's not any SB motif (played them both just now to check just in case). A lot of Soken's motifs are similar tho so I get why one would think that.

My experience with this fight last night: qued as dancer since it was the only class I had high enough. In retro, I wished I pushed harder to get sage up. It got to the point that I was one of few people alive. Definitely some people were having lag issues, but the healing seemed to be struggling a lot. We wiped and wiped until they voted to abandon. I left to reset the timer and requed, a little pissed at this boss by then. We killed it on our first attempt. I barely got hit by anything and even got to lb in his face. Felt like I really earned the victory cermony afterwards

It was fun commentating the opening of this fight like a wrestling match while a cutscene-watcher caught up.
I don’t think I can remember the last time I fought a boss in ANY game to orchestrated metal and I love this theme for that.
Every time I see the tank buster I think of, "Get back here! I just want to give you a knuckle sandwich!"
Where is the motif in this song from? E.g 2:12 It's driving me crazy
I thought I was the only person going insane, it sounds HEAVILY Stormblood inspired, like almost identical to Kugane day/night theme.
It's the Arcadion motif. It's also in the lobby theme and in Black Cat's theme. Just like Alexander and Pandaemonium before it this raid tier has its own new motif.
As an arranger and composer myself I can assure it's not any SB motif (played them both just now to check just in case). A lot of Soken's motifs are similar tho so I get why one would think that.
@@LZ02-OVERTURE I really cannot hear it in Black Cat's theme, nor Wicked Thunder's, which is supposed to be the same as the lobby theme and Black Cat's theme - those I do hear, I can even almost hear the vocals in those two, but this one is just elusive to me, no matter how hard I listen. Could you give timestamps where M1 shares the motif with this one? Uvi has them both uploaded on this channel.

@@KakaowyKruk This implies i remember a single one of those fights in sufficient detail to care. It was Awesome. A wrestling heel chewing the damn scenery so damn hard even the ref went flying, the music keeping me pumped, with satisfying mechs to boot.

My experience with this fight last night: qued as dancer since it was the only class I had high enough. In retro, I wished I pushed harder to get sage up. It got to the point that I was one of few people alive. Definitely some people were having lag issues, but the healing seemed to be struggling a lot. We wiped and wiped until they voted to abandon. I left to reset the timer and requed, a little pissed at this boss by then. We killed it on our first attempt. I barely got hit by anything and even got to lb in his face. Felt like I really earned the victory cermony afterwards
