  • RustRover has finally landed! We can't wait for you to experience our vision of what a powerful Rust IDE should be.
We're excited to share that now we're offering a free license for individual, non-commercial use of RustRover. A commercial license is also available.

Still missing support for mixed-language projects like Tauri.

Video's preview says the most important thing, RustRover is free for non-commercial use

Your vision, without support for the major JS libraries or databases. It did support it, but you took it out. So, something like Tauri, or Sqlx? Forget about it … Tell me more about your vision.

In Germany (19% tax) I have to pay around 111€ per year to use it with clion. Intellij ultimate is 120 € per year.
This is absurd for just one feature. Make the plugin cheaper for clion at least.
Btw no individual use license anymore. You have to pay always the organization license even if you are one person.

The Rust Rover is free for non-commercial use.
You can pay once, and it will simply stop updating when the subscription ends, but you can use this version forever.
Is 111 euros a year really money?

Thank you all for your feedback. Here are my problems with the new pricing:
      1. The free version is only for rust rover not for the clion plugin (i need c support as well), so this is not an option
      2. The rust plugin costs almost as much as a complete ide with 59 € (35 € only with the first year discount, no forever discount after 3 years)
      3. yes you can pay once and use the version you paid for ever. Problem is when new rust features are live, your ide can't help anymore (like the the impl trait in traits feature. this was not supported for few month)
With their new pricing you have to pay 59 € for clion (three years discount) + 59 € for the rust plugin (without the first year discount and no three years discount).
Is it fair for just one plugin?
I mean why can it be free for intellij but not for clion? When not free then just 10 or 15 € a year. Remember it is just the plugin, not the full ide!
