Hi, so glad I could help. I did find it in the end very straightforward. I guess it doesn't help when you read in the newspapers how difficult it is !!!. So just remember, 2 copies, double triple check. 😀
standard passport = 32 pages
jumbo passport = 50 pages
each page can hold 4 stamps
but if you transfer, i.e London-Basel-Belgrade, you'll have 4 stamps for that 1 trip
Not unless you stay airside at Basel, it’s Non Schengen Transit so you don’t need to go through immigration

Hi, I would double check that as you need 2 Photographs ? and a completed form. You can get the photographs from any Photo Booth at main post offices. If you are using your old passport as ID then you do need to be recognised from the old passport to the new photos ( I thought I might look a bit different but I had no problems.

I did take my birth certificate with me and other ID I had. However it was not needed as my old/existing passport was used as ID. The officer told me supporting documents are only required if you don't have the existing passport or you are unrecognisable on the existing passport.

Hi, your new passport is sent via TNT . I received mine after 5 days. I explain more about TNT at the end of the video. My docs were sent separately and took about 10 days. There are details of that when you pay online
Did you need to take a second person with you to take a photo of you as it says this on the government website
I didn’t read that anywhere ?? Are you sure it was on the official UK GOV passport website. For online applications , maybe it suggests to get a person to take picture ( that makes sense) but for the 7 day or paper applications you need printed photos ( I got mine from a booth at Post Office )

No, this is for an adult United Kingdom passport. For a German passport you would need to contact the relevant German authorities.
My tnt tracking isn’t working
I remember having to play around from the email I received from TNT. Adding the reference number I got from the passport office. Then that generated the TNT reference. Which then gave me a time slot. Which is 12 hours 8am to 8pm ( so not brilliant )
I'm in the same position fast track passport renewal and still recognisable from my photo on my old passport, so what documents do I need for the appointment? Is my old passport, completed application form and 2 passport photos enough?
In my position I had used my passport 3 months previously. So therefore I was recognisable . But I didn’t want to take a chance as appointments were scarce.
But my interviewer did check and I wouldn’t of needed countersign. Just completed form and 2 photos and existing passport

In a word, yes. If your old passport in un damaged and you can still be recognised from the photo. Then all you need is a completed form, 2 photos and your passport.
I am a bit belt and braces kind of guy, took 2 copies of form, countersigned photos and birth certificate. But I only need the 2 photos and old passport
