      @@stephenhaywood5672Yes Ed Millipede is flogging a dead horse with wanting to build huge solar farms, wind farms, storage batteries and I presume a whole new grid to supply to all these new towns that are going to house all the 'newcomers'. GB energy is another big scam that the tax payer is going to have to fund. Vote ReformUK in the local elections in May and change the councils.

Since then over 50 percent of the people who voted Labour said they regretted it. That's means less than 1 in 10 people actually want this party In power. Just saying. I didn't vote for them.

    UK 'democracy' is when a party has 20% electoral support among eligible voters. For that, the party is awarded with 64% of MPs in parliament. If it is an expression of 'democracy', then I can do just fine without democracy.

    • @AAWT
      @AAWT 14 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

      I'm sorry, but that is NOT a democracy problem, this is an electorate problem. If people either don't care enough to go vote (if half the people who didn't vote had gone and voted Reform, the results would be very different), or consider it most important to be seen as having voted for the winners (and thus only ever choose between the same two old parties that both proved themselves unfit for purpose repeatedly), the people have to blame themselves in a democracy. The beauty of democracy is that every country gets the government it deserves. The entire Western world is trending towards the right, but Britain elected a hard-left government expecting things that were bad under a leftist "Conservative" government to get better. That is not a problem with the system - it's a problem with people being delusional and brainwashed, and caring more about woke football teams and similar distractions than about the future of the country.

    What we're witnessing in the UK, and across Europe, could be described as a treason: policies, often driven by the interests of non-elected international business groups, but to which our governments listen and implement, that systematically dismantle the social and economic foundation of the nation. Immigration policies, in particular, seem to prioritise global interests over national well-being, placing unmanageable strain on housing, healthcare, and public services while often disregarding the needs of local communities. This isn’t just misguided governance; it borders on deliberate destabilisation.
    Economic policies, too, appear to favour corporate giants and urban elites, sidelining small businesses and rural areas, widening the divide between rich and poor, urban and rural. Critics argue that these shifts threaten national unity, eroding the values and structures that once held society together. To many, this isn’t progress-it’s a betrayal of the public trust and a hollowing-out of the UK’s very identity.
    Finally, if you notice it, and speak out about it, you will be called a fascist, xenophobe, who needs to be silenced and/or imprisoned.

    European birthrates are in free fall. UK has failed to invest in it's future. So, the government is using replacement tactics to maintain the numbers which is doing nothing but hastening our inevitable decline. It's just tragic they use the dregs from various dumps around the world.

      "A motion of no confidence" is a motion moved in the House of Commons expressing lack of confidence in the government (or a specific minister.)
      Having the confidence of the House of Commons has been seen as central to a government's authority to govern in the UK. Traditionally, governments that have lost a confidence vote have either resigned in favour of an alternative administration, or the Prime Minister has requested a dissolution from the Monarch triggering a general election.

    we are a democracy, people with their voting allowed labour to win, labour didnt really have much to say about legal and illegal migration. they are in power now for five years, they will do what they want. in five years time you will have your chance to express what you want. i voted for a party that said they would deal with this, and had no history of saying they would and then not!!

    Serious question, how do you all plan on getting out of this? As an American, I have a relatively decent knowledge of your government, but no where near enough. What is it that we can do for the UK aside from demanding Starmer's resignation and cutting all ties with the UK. I know we are leaving these global orgs like the WHO, and soon the WEF as well. The EU is going to buy oil from us, not Russia. How else can we make an impact for you?

    We have been paying the French government £millions to stop the boats without success, so why don't we pay them to create and exclusion zone of, say, 20km from their northern shore for all inflatables punishable by the destruction of such vessels and the confiscation of any vehicle transporting them? If this worked, it could stop the boats and be beneficial to towns such as Calais and the south coast of England and even save lives.

    8:23 the thing is Poland and Israel have border patrol armed and legally allowed to use live rounds. There’s some who may take chances still but I’m guessing there’s not many that do. Kind of defeats your purpose if the only reason you make it inside the country is for a post mortem.

    That's false, Spain has a 500.000 yearly NET migrant ratio, 80% being illegal, that adds up to 1% of the population net growth from illegal immigrants , the vast majority coming from South America and entering through airports! So governments are absolutely responsible and complicit. This has been happening for the last 20 years, today Spain has one of the largest foreign born populations population in Europe and the World. Big cities are totally invaded, it's almost worse than in the UK.
