    I'm an experienced quad builder and that was very well done. You must work in the video industry or have a lot of experience doing this. Hats of to this excellent build and flight. I enjoy flying my Cinerace20 quite a bit. Running more powerful motors 1303 5000kV. I think Flywoo is having great success with this release lots of good buzz around how well it flys for something so small.

      Thank you! Yes I do photography and videography for my job, so this video is just for fun. Thanks for the kind comments, Im still pretty new to fpv. Yeah Flywoo makes really really fun products to fly. I also have their firefly babyquad 1.6" and also explorer. They all really make sense for some reason and at least one of them are with me every flight session! Not only fun, but most likely also with its portability! They fit in the bag easily haha just throw it in there!

    Amazing work my friend! I've one question, soldering the motors wires requires any specific order (direct, crossed)?

    • @PattyFlipz
      @PattyFlipz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! No, actually in the beginning, it doesn't actually matter. BUT, I usually like to solder each wires direct because it just looks cleaner. (I give the wires a little twist too before bolting down the motor, especially for cinewhoops so its nice and tight against the top of the ducts. Just some extra info: Please keep in mind even though you soldered direct or crossed, you will need to always check/adjust your preferred motor direction in bl_heli and betaflight (with props off) and change settings from there. What I like to do is put a thin piece of coloured tape on the tip of the each of the motors and film them in slow motion using my phone to see which ones are rotating the wrong direction. Another way to reverse motor direction is re-solder that specific motor crossed and it will rotate the other way! Cheers.

      Hi did you go into betaflight and set your modes such as arm, beeper, angle, turtle and ensure your remote controller is set exactly the same? To check, Props off, plug in battery to quad, plug into betaflight and turn on your remote controller. go into modes tab. click your buttons and Make sure it matches with the modes you created.

      Hi yes you need 12v. Flywoo sells a 12v bec with switch, or another version (v2) that can communicate to betaflight by transmitter switch. Flywoo led strip usually comes with the bec

    Video Mistake Log & Suggestions:
    ***I mounted the props wrong - Do not copy or your quad will do a funky flip! (mount prop side with 2 circular depressions, make sure they are visible on the screw side)
    Correct picture here (reverse prop direction shown) drive.google.com/file/d/1xKo4hb1SN-6eFbFBA15YQq0dO8veF64a/view?usp=sharing
    ***TBS nano RX should have been attached behind the 3d print that also holds the 2 antennas out back, for now I just stuffed it to the inside of a duct instead of leaving it beside the top plate like in my video.
    ***Antenna holder was designed to hold a smaller antenna such as a TBS minimortal T, I stuffed a TBS Immortal T V2, but realized it would pop out from time to time, I added zip ties so it stays in place. (not shown in the video)

    I'm not 100% sure, but I think you installed the propellers upside down. The "prettier" side of the propeller with one dot should face the motor, while the "uglier" side with injection marks should face down. Check it out and maybe your performance will increase.

      @@alexandrughita5891 Hi, don't follow my video to mount the propellers, its wrong. Please do reverse prop direction in betaflight. Hi Chris Newby! Thank you for visiting! This video is only intended to give you just an "idea" on what it takes to build a FPV drone. It is not a step by step tutorial. Cheers and positive vibes to you. Hope you find what you are looking for. If you have any questions on the build just let me know. I'd be happy to answer.
